The ankle support is nice, especially when you 're scrambling over rocks and uneven ground. As for them being waterproof, I 'm not sure yet. They definitely are up to the leather part, but in not sure how waterproof the mesh fabric is. Overall very happy with these boots.

[ I got these as a sample to review however they are now one of my favorite boots for going out/going to work in. I think they are super stylish and they are very durable. I have had them in the snow and slush many times and they have good traction. The sole washes off easily too in case you do n't want the salt to stay. They are quite comfortable and true to size. I would buy other pairs in other colors just because I like the style so much.

The lighter gray/brown part of the shoe is suede texture and the forest green part has a grid texture that feels like it might be water resistant. The overall feel of the shoe is comfortable but they are wide. I am normally a 9- 9. 5, I got a size 9 and they are still a bit big for my feet, mostly width wise. The tongue also has a lot of padding, which is nice. Overall a great sturdy shoe that can be used for multiple occasions!
