You can wear in in the 50 ’s unzipped without getting too hot, and I ’ ve worn it in mid 30 ’s drizzle comfortably. Any cooler than 30 degrees and you ’ d probably want to throw on a fleece underneath. The Sherpa is a very nice touch, and I love the hood. This coat is more comfortable than my previous coat, time will tell if it also lasts me 20 years.

[ Very happy with this jacket after four days of skiing in variable conditions. Here are the key attributes: 1. Warmth- it's pretty warm; not the warmest imaginable jacket but I can easily get away with a thin base layer in 30 degree conditions. When the temp plummeted to zero I wore a couple heavier base layers and was still comfortable. I love the ample coverage over your chin and mouth, which provides great wind protection on top of your balaclava. 2. Coverage- Jacket does a great job sealing in the elements with hardy and easy- to- use velcro straps at the wrists, a powder skirt, and a functional hood that fits around a size L helmet without constraining my neck. 3. Pockets galore! And they are big. Only a couple slight issues:- water- proof zippers were a bit hard to open or close the first time I wore the jacket, which was zero- degree weather. I did n't notice the issue later on when the weather warmed up.- the cuffs do n't mesh too well with my gauntlet- style mitts, especially if I 'm layered up a lot underneath. Basically both the jacket and mitts seems to want to be on the outside.

The extended cuffs with thumb holes keep cold air out. Pockets are nice and deep with zippers. I will say that the XS is much more flattering, but my arms feel restricted when moving around, and the Small feels much better, but looks loose. I still went with the Small.

It was plenty warm enough for cool evenings and at high elevations. But the best feature of this jacket is the hood. The hood fits so well around your face and neck. This has become my favourite layer under my shell for cold winter hikes when its- 20 and the wind is blowing.

I ’ ve had this coat for a few weeks now and I love it. It ’s dreamily warm, looks fantastic and the pack down feature it really going to be great for travel. It has even performed perfectly on walks in temperatures well below freezing. I ’ m just over 5 ’ 6 ” and 150 lbs, athletic build and medium works well. It was slightly larger than what I thought it would be, as I am hoping to use it under a waterproof layer soon, but the small would likely have been too small. Hard to find a `` long '' puffer coat that does n't hit me below the knees. Being 4'11 '', I like it to be long, but not below the knees and this one is perfect! I really love this coat and all the small features that make it so nice. I love all the pockets, it actually fits a 1L water bottle. I love the little fleece details in the hood, at your face, and in the hand pockets. It ’s very warm, and I can choose to layer( or not) and still be warm. I kept my normal size small due to my broader shoulders and wanting it to be able to wear a sweater without my shoulders feeling restricted. It definitely is boxy, but I don ’ t pick coats based on that, but all the other features like staying warm. I really like how big the hood is, it actually fits both my head and a ski helmet, which is nice. I also love the length of the coat and how it ’s slightly longer than my waist. I appreciate the double zipper, when I get into the car I ’ ll unzip the bottom a touch so it ’s looser which makes any tightness when sitting down go away.

Well this jacket has been a lifesaver, got me through- 20F weather with no problem, it blocks the wind and moisture. The pockets at mid level, that are fleece lined, are a blessing. I did a lot of research before buying this coat and I do n't regret it. Now it may not be as form fitting as one might want but honestly when you are warm in dead of winter, who cares. [ I was heading to Alaska to visit my brother and I needed a better suited jacket for the elements. I ’ d tried this in at a local store but they did not offer and prints. The fit was perfect too. So I did a bit of research and found it with you! Perfect all the way around. I do ski a bit so this was perfect for that. I was t sure I would need this for Alaska but as luck would have it the temperature really dropped and it even snowed. I was quite cozy and looked great too. Two of my favorite things is the soft inner cuffs and the fleece inner collar. When you get it all zipped up it ’s cost on your face! I always wear a small size in coats but definitely need a medium to be comfortable. I love omni tech and require that from a winter coat. This jacket has been very warm so far and being waterproof in Oregon is necessary. I never thought I 'd separate the coats, but less than a week after purchasing, they became the perfect separates on a warmer vacation. The hood is not insulated but stays on through the wind. I wo n't need the ski skirt option and it's not a nuisance. I will note that it might be easier to dry the jackets separate after washing, or at least pull inner sleeves out or they will not dry timely. I 'm very pleased with this jackets, more than I ever expected.

The red color is eye- catching, and it's incredibly comfortable and flexible, not stiff or heavy even in the coldest temperatures. Living in the Northeast, I 'm often outside in freezing weather, and this jacket keeps me warm without feeling bulky. After a couple of years, it still looks great, and I get tons of compliments on it. It's easy to care for too: I wash it on a gentle cycle with mild detergent and air fluff it on low heat, and it comes out looking like new. Definitely a five- star product!
