If you are looking for shorts to do activities in that will be good in wet or dry conditions, these should do the trick. They have an integrated liner like a swimming suit and are made of material that would dry quickly. The material is a little heavier than other all conditions shorts I have had, but that is probably good if you intend to go hiking. They should not easily snag or tear. My favorite for trail runs and hikes. The length to mid knee is perfect. I sized one up because I like shorts with some room, but even so they have what I 'd call a `` normal '' fit. I do like the sized up fit though, very comfortable. The fabric has a nice texture, feels durable. The thigh pocket just barely fits my phone. The zippered back pockets were a good idea.
