Best winter hunting boots you can get. I 've been using mine for about 10 years now, and buy a set for each of my teens each year. If you get the fit right, they do n't pull your socks down when you walk. Very good for walking unlink the tradition tall boots. Most importantly, they are the only boots that you can sit for a couple of hours in the winter with and your feet do n't get cold. Any other boot I have ever tried, even the ones that claim- 30C, my feet always got cold really quickly, Even in only- 10C. Yet these boots I can sit for a couple of hours in- 30C, and everything else on me gets cold EXCEPT my feet.

I learned very quickly that the Sorel Caribou boot was the Best way to keep feet dry and relatively warm in the Great white Tundra of the North East states. I have used them a few times and they shed snow and water, and keep my feet pretty warm. The `` speedlacing system '' is a nice perk-- it means( I think) that there is an extra tab that holds the lace on the lower part of the boot tightly, so you can tighten the lower half and it will stay tight while you adjust and tie the upper half.

I bought these boots due to online reviews, and they were on sale, making it a double bonus. They have a thick inner liner that keeps your feet warm but are very snug! I would have gone with the next size up if I had known. Still breaking them in, so as far as durability, I will find out. My last pair, Sorel, held up for almost 30 years so I 'm hoping these will be my last snow boot purchase! So far they are decent. I would recommend they switch to quick lace hooks, rather than the eyelets.

Finally got my boots delivered today after a long shipping delay. My review is two fold: Boot quality: 5 stars. Seems super warm, and well constructed. Can ’ t wait to get these out in the snow and give them a real test, but I fully expect them to be a quality boot. Dick ’s quality control: the boots arrived in a box that had been torn and taped back together. Not a big deal, but…. The boot liners had a bunch of animal fur stuck in them, and all over the outside soles. Clearly someone had bought this exact pair before, tried them on, possibly used them, and decided to return them for whatever reason. It ’s very obvious that I didn ’ t get a “ new ” product. I sometimes buy previously used items, but only when I know that I ’ m buying used and can inspect the product first, and usually at a discount. I was fully expecting ” new ” here as It wasn ’ t indicated anywhere that I was getting a used or returned product and I didn ’ t get that. So 2 stars to Dick ’s for not being up front on the condition of what they ’ re selling, or checking the condition of the returns they ’ re reselling. I ’ m not disappointed in the product, hence why I ’ m actually leaving 5 stars, just in Dick ’s quality control and product clarity. This isn ’ t a deal breaker this time… I ’ m still keeping the boots, but now I have to spend time de- fur- ing them first.

[ I bought these for ice fishing. I needed a boot to be super warm& waterproof. Something that will still feel warm at 50mph and subzero air. These totally fit the bill. Very comfortable. The `` Boa system '' is really cool. Instead of leather or cotton laces, it's a wire system that tightens up to your comfort when you twist the button on the front. When you want `` out '' you pull the button out and the tongue loosens right up. Very convenient. I would recommend this boot for mostly active activities. I 'd to walk miles in them they are so comfortable, they also feel very sturdy and supportive which you 'd want in an ice fishing boot.
