[ Could not get these out of the box soon enough! Took them for a quick run and was super impressed-- they feel light and propulsive. I felt like I was moving at a good clip with very little effort. The shoes fit like a glove, go on super easy and feel almost like a spike or sock in that they 're very trim to my foot. I 've previously done some demo runs in the v4s and felt like in comparison, the v5s are lighter and more comfortable. I am also obsessed with the color way, and though I was very excited for the black and white(+ red logo) color way debuted by some elites earlier this year, the red and white(+ black logo) is growing on me. My preferred racing shoe as of late has been the NB FuelCell SuperComp Trainers( v3) but I am very much looking forward to upgrading to the SC Elite v5s in the near future. The one thing that is going to take some getting used to is the platform is definitely thinner than the v4s, and much thinner than the SC Trainers, so I did feel a little less stable than preferred but I imagine this is comparable to other plated shoes on the market and also think my foot is a bit on the wider side so others might not share this experience.

Yes the heel collar is a little high but it does break in. I think it adds to the stability which is why I love the Pro's. I ran 3 marathons in the 4's and have had 4 pairs. I bought the 5's and they are great. I taped my heel on my 20 mile long runs and had no issues. They are slightly more stable than the 4's and that is what I want. A responsive marathon ready shoe that is stable and NO BLISTERS!!! I have tried every other brand and I do n't know whose feet they fit but Saucony is the GOAT for fit. I am running LA Marathon on Sunday and will be wearing these shoes. If I have any issues I will update the review but like I said I already did 20 miles a couple times during training and with a bit of tape or a band aid on the heel I had zero issues. I think they are broken in and wo n't have an issue but I will be cautious and tape the back of my heel. They also have extra foam at the connection between the upper and the midsole which I think will add to the durability of the shoe. I had issues with the 4's tearing at the upper and midsole( check review for 4's). Hopefully this change will add to durability. I also have the speed 5's and these are a bit snappier but the speeds are a good 2nd if you are budget conscious.

This shoe has completely revived my running and is the best shoe I have ever worn. I 've been a distance runner since 1984 and wore Pegs for much of my life. Switched to Zoom Fly when the first edition came out. The 6 is an absolute game changer. First run out of the box ran about: 30/mile faster than my usual slog without trying to do so. My HR is commensurately higher, but my legs and body feel much easier. Just a tremendous shoe for forefoot or midfoot strikers- would not recommend for heel strikers. I am older and much slower than I used to be but I am enjoying runs more than I have in years.

Absolutely love this new generation of Pro- good heel lockdown, the sock liner keeps the tongue from moving into an uncomfortable position and the shoe feels really stable for a super racing shoe. I jog in the treadmill for 30- 45 minutes without stopping but not doing it lately. I can last about 10 minutes only coz of the shoe I was wearing. I have one fave shoes from Nike, Zoom X. But I tried Hoka for the first time. This was my first one. This shoe I highly recommend to anyone: nurse and athletic or athlete. Very comfortable, cute and stylish.

These are really great shoes. Hands down probably the best running shoes I 've owned. I 've been suffering from ball of foot pain( metatarsalgia) under the second toe for about 8 months, and it really started to flare up within the last 1. 5 months. I tend to be a forefoot striker and typically run about 5- 7 miles when I go out. Just went on a 7 mile run with the AlphaFly Next% 2 and they really did help to neutralize the impact on the 2nd metatarsal head to the point where I felt no soreness or pain post run. Nike recommended a size 9. 5, but I ended up buying a size 11 and it fits perfect. Hope Nike continues to make shoes like this since it helped me avoid having to give up running.

Returned to running after a 40 year break. Six months in I decided to run a marathon on five days notice. I got these because they are supposed to reduce fatigue and make recovery faster. I ran sub- 4 at age 57 with six months of training and a five day taper. The next day I had no problems running six miles. Not perfect but the best racing supershoe that I ’ ve used among VF2, VF3, adizero adios, AF3. Just received VF4s but yet to run in them. My first run in these AF3s was a shakeout before a half marathon. Was concerned as the shoes squeaked for about 2. 5 miles but that finally subsided. Have run 2 half marathons in these- each time was PR by 4 minutes. Best thing for me is the low volume toe box. I have narrow, low volume feet. The VF3s are way too baggy in the toe box for me. These shoes do “ hoof clop ” loudly like the old tempo next% trainers. Ppl always turning their head as I come up on them🤣

Well. I bought 4 pairs. These are everything I was hoping for. Essentially a springy, barefoot run with great energy return. All have worn well unless I try to take them off without undoing the laces, or scrape them on concrete. I wear mine daily. I have narrow feet with exceptionally high arches. As for this model compared to the Alphafly 2 and original…they improved them tremendously. They are snug without pressure, better foam profile, and the lacing system doesn ’ t untie easily. Just finished putting at least 400 miles on the zoom fly 5s. No telling how much exactly because I did n't track everything but I really enjoyed them and just got these fly 6s today and went for a 6 miler. They felt good out the box and I think I broke them in by the end of the run. I was running a good pace on fatigued feet and legs( ran 11 miles this am) and it felt effortless. I wanted to keep going but I kept it semi light for the first test run. I think I like these better than the 5s and I loved them. I usually do at least 5- 6 days a week around 7 miles a day. They work for easy runs and hard runs. These feel like they will do the same and are lighter but I still feel like I 'm getting the same support which was my main concern. I think these will be my go to. The vapors are out of my price range but these probably compete with those if I were to guess, especially if you are on a budget like me. Good job Nike! Glad to have switch to y'all from brooks. I get way more milage a shoe.

Im not the best track athlete but these are great for races the plate is very springy and at the end of your 3200s or 1600s you dont feel nearly as fatigued with the plate helping. I just ran a 50km race with 5, 000 feet of elevation gain and loss wearing these shoes. I was nervous that the toe box height would be too short, but that didn ’ t end up being an issue at all. I didn ’ t get a single blister after getting them from other trail shoes. The front toe shield definitely saved my big toe more than once after slamming into some rocks.
