Excellent for winter to cut the wind and retain heat. Had multiple deer come within 30 yds and jacket noise did not alert them. Used as a top layer with layering( and heated vest, socks, and gloves all on lowest setting) during a 12( F) degree morning, never got cold and didn ’ t feel the wind. It does not have pockets, which helps with retaining heat and one less thing to leak down the road, but I use a small pack to carry in. I do suggest breaking it in a bit. UPF continues to work after many years of regular use and washing, it provides protection from the sun and mild wind. It's so soft against bare skin and comfortable to sleep in. [ I bought the Ray Ban new wayfarer with the polarized lenses and I love them. I own multiple pairs of Costa sunglasses and haven ’ t tried many sunglasses that compare to their quality but these Ray Bans are just as good.
