I purchased this yoga mat at my local Dick's Sporting Goods Store. I had been wanting a really good mat after attending Hot Yoga with an 'ordinary' Target- brand mat. I was slipping and sliding all over the place with my previous mat. With the Manduka PRO Mat, I was calm- cool- and stable. It was wonderful! It is a little slick at first( the protective coating has to wear off), but that will get better with time. I have become a Manduka fanatic after using this mat. FYI- it is a little heavy. I would recommend purchasing a yoga strap or yoga bag to haul this puppy around in.

I have been using a good mat for yoga, though basic, it has helped me 6 months in my practice. This Manduka mat is really worth the price since it has enough cushioning, not so much that makes one lose balance but good for a head stand. Also, it has a great grip for positions when you press hard with hands and feet. It is long enough for me to fit laying down and it is n't that heavy. A very good product overall, I highly recoment it for anyone who practices yoga or even other sports.

I know you are `` supposed '' to wait to `` air it out '' but I could n't. I hopped on and practiced. it felt great. I have been practicing yoga for 9 months and had a beginner mat before and decided to upgrade( I deserved it). The only thing that irks me is that when I practice, it seems like the mat feels a bit slippery. It makes me kinda nervous I will slip. [ So far I 've only used this for one class, but it is not slippery! I go to buti yoga, which is sort of like a combination between cardio and yoga, and I sweat, although I am not a heavy sweater. It involves a lot of downward dogs, and I felt much more stable than I did on my previous mat. My hands felt grounded and did not slide. The mat did seem a bit slick when I first received it, but I read lots of reviews and followed a few suggestions: leaving it out in the sun for a few hours( it was 80 degrees), rubbing a fine grain sandpaper over it( once over, applying a bit of force), and using a heavy duty scotch- brite sponge with some cleaner( I used Mrs. Meyers) before rinsing it off and letting it dry. I maybe spent 10- 15 minutes using the sandpaper and cleaner. And it worked! I am hopeful that this is my soul mat.

I actually picked this up for outdoor boot camp class. Our classes are held at an elementary school playground on the blacktop. It gets really dirty, unfortunately but the cushion is superior to cheaper mats and the grip was great on day one even though the package says you need to break it in a bit. I love this Yoga Mat! It's super great for at home workouts. I work out at home 4- 5 times a week. I had another yoga mat that was squishier, but this one is better in more ways. I like that this yoga mat stays in place and does n't slip around while I 'm doing mountain climbers, or other exercises. It's not as squishy when I 'm doing pushups on my knees, but maybe I need to do regular pushups from now on! It's comfortable enough for crunches, but great for yoga as well.

Nothing to complain about on this yoga mat. It's a dense/firm pad with grooves for good traction. This firmness is great for peobising an even surface while its in use on carpet. This mat was a huge surprise. I didn ’ t think I ’ d ever like one more than my spendy lulu one. First, great color, but even better was the feel. It stays flat without rolling up, has the perfect amount of stickiness, and cushioning that feels like you are on a cloud. I wouldn ’ t change a thing.

I chose this product because i wanted a good mat for yoga and for ab workouts. This mat checks all the boxes. It has enough cushion to be comfortable on a tile floor. It has good grip so the mat does not slide on the floor and your feet do n't slip either. Another nice feature is the line that goes right down the middle of the mat. This helps with feet placement with any exercise you are doing. When you are done working out it is easy to clean and rolls up for easy storage. I can also tell from the quality of the mat i will be using this yoga mat for a very long time.

I have been wanting a yoga mat for a while now, but never got around to actually purchasing one and now I ’ m so glad I didn ’ t because this is one of the best quality yoga mats I have come across. It is thick and very well made. Others I ’ ve had in the past would start crumbling and flaking off after a little bit of use, but this is still holding up incredibly well and I use it for a ton of different workouts.
