I got this shoe to train for 5k- half marathon distances. The formulation of 100% super foam and a nylon/plastic plate works perfect for me. I can train and race in them without needing expensive carbon shoes which have caused me injury in the past( Endorphin Pro 3). Absolutely zero injuries with these so far. I was in between sizes with these and went with the larger size and they fit well. Narrow fit but no hotspots, great for when I ’ m training fast intervals at 5k pace( ~6: 30/mile). Compared to the Endorphin Speed 2 they are not as bouncy or fast, but they are MUCH more stable which lets me get more easy miles in them as well to round out my training. Could use this shoe for all my miles honestly. Great price on sale now that the 5 came out.

This is the ideal shoe for heavier runners because they are so well built. The midsole is firm and reactive. Typically, I find running shoes to be too soft in the soles including the Endorphin Speeds and Pros. If you want a firm, responsive, and stable shoe that will last, the Shift is the answer. I have not ran much in the Shift 3 yet, but first impressions indicate that it has only improved on the Shift 2. The fit is exactly the same as the Shift 2, as well. I put 350+ miles on my Endorphin Shift 2s including my first two marathons. My body weight started at 240 lbs and has since dropped to 215. The shoes still have a lot of miles left in them and plenty of support remaining. The upper is in perfect shape and there's still rubber on the soles. The Saucony Endorphin Shift is simply the most durable and supportive shoe I have ever owned.

As owning the Endorphin Pro 3 and loving everything about that shoe, I was n't sure what to expect from the Shift 3. But knowing I was in need of a max cushioned daily trainer, I decided to roll the dice and take the dice on the Shift 3. I 'm glad I did. The ride is smooth, responsive, and lighter on foot than what the actual weight of the shoe indicates on the specs. I 've used the shoe on easy runs, recovery runs, medium distance runs, and on occasion, tempo runs. The SPEEDROLL Technology is very evident and provides and very easy and comfortable transition. Looking forward to putting many more miles on them this winter and for the time being they are a perfect counterpart to my race day Pro 3s.

A perfect training companion for putting in the mile, gym work, or travel. Have already put this shoe through a few different of runs. From easy jogs to faster tempos/strides down to 5: 30min/mi pace. These shoes can keep up with it all. I love the foam they 've used with this Azura. I find it `` bouncey '' without feeling like you 're sinking into the foam. I also appreciate there's no plate in it which I 've always found firms up the ride a little too much at times. Overall, I love this shoe and it's a perfect replacement as I 'm retiring my well worn endorphin speeds for putting in my daily miles. I also appreciate that there's plenty of colors to choose from for what fits your fashion and style. Makes it for a great `` travel '' shoe if you can only pair of athletic shoes. Fit- wise, I got it true- to- size. Yes the heel collar is a little high but it does break in. I think it adds to the stability which is why I love the Pro's. I ran 3 marathons in the 4's and have had 4 pairs. I bought the 5's and they are great. I taped my heel on my 20 mile long runs and had no issues. They are slightly more stable than the 4's and that is what I want. A responsive marathon ready shoe that is stable and NO BLISTERS!!! I have tried every other brand and I do n't know whose feet they fit but Saucony is the GOAT for fit. I am running LA Marathon on Sunday and will be wearing these shoes. If I have any issues I will update the review but like I said I already did 20 miles a couple times during training and with a bit of tape or a band aid on the heel I had zero issues. I think they are broken in and wo n't have an issue but I will be cautious and tape the back of my heel. They also have extra foam at the connection between the upper and the midsole which I think will add to the durability of the shoe. I had issues with the 4's tearing at the upper and midsole( check review for 4's). Hopefully this change will add to durability. I also have the speed 5's and these are a bit snappier but the speeds are a good 2nd if you are budget conscious.

Very comfortable& light shoe. Obsessed with the bright blue. The top part of the shoe( top of toe box) doesn ’ t seem to be incredibly durable but I ’ m hoping I ’ ll be able to get a few hundy miles out of them before my big toe wears through.

Put over 400 miles on these shoes training for my third marathon in April and I felt so strong and bouncy on my feet! Indeed it is different, the upper is great, the midsole is quite responsive. High quality, high high quality. Go half size up, or at least size up. Worth it I believe! For example I am going to use it frequently, even for walking. Is it comfortable? Not lightblaze shoes with mesh upper and spongy inners comfortable, but still good. See reviews before you buy. I really have every midsole type of adidas and by far this is the best, even better than ultraboost or lightstrike pro!

I found the support and height on the cushion of the mid foot to be extremely comfortable and offer something a lot of shoes are not currently able to. It was lighter than I would have expected and also extremely responsive.

[ Wow, just wow! I bought these the day they were released and for them on a 13 miles long run for the first outing and boy were they awesome. They just make you want to pick up the pace. I ran a marathon goal pace( 7: 30) and these felt great. Nice rocker and the Hyperboost Pro is just perfect. Not too firm and not too squishy. Feels a lot like the EVO SL. I 've been looking for a non- plated `` do everything '' shoe and this hits the spot. Short runs, long runs, slow runs, fast runs, whatever. I like the overall design EXCEPT that weird lace collar thingy. Honestly if the laces were the same design as the EVO SL( which I also enjoy), it would be a better shoe. I 'm running both the Boston and London marathons next month and I think these will be used for every run leading up to those, and maybe even on race day!
