Great product for the money. No issues with jamming so far. Casts well and the clicker is great. If money is no object than get yourself a catfish series Abu, if money is tight this reel will work well if you are familiar with using baitcasting reels. If you 're going for bigger cats you might consider changing the line.

The only things I had to do is break the reel down and re- oil it and change the line on the reel but I always re- oil my reels before using for the 1st time. I highly recommend this reel for the price. I restrung this reel with 65 lb braid and it's held up great but always back it with good mono line.

I have several larger baitfeeder spinning reels for surf fishing, including a Penn Fierce III 6500 and an Okuma Avenger 8000 series. I was looking for something smaller/lighter but still tough enough for medium duty saltwater. I opted for the Penn Fierce IV 4500 series which I spooled with PowerPro 30lb braid, as opposed to paying almost double for a Spinfisher 4000 series with LiveLiner option. Very satisfied. Great reels. I have 2 and am shopping for another. Wo n't buy it here because they do not have the higher gear ratio in the left hand retrieve model. Only 4 stars because it comes with combat grips instead of Winn knobs. But, I have swapped the combat grips for Winn round knobs. I even contacted Lew's and was able to get black and gold end caps for the knobs. I have one on a TP1 Black and the other on a Custom Lite. The reels cast great, the retrieve is smooth, and they are strong. And, they look good too. Get one today.
