Very happy! I bought this for a for my “ personal item ”( under the seat) for a flight and cruise with our kids a few weeks ago. Super lightweight and we were able to keep things secure without having a million useless zippers and pockets. Definitely not for every day use, but I was happy to bring a sling bag for daily outings. I brought this bag and a carry on for a 6 night cruise. It was perfect!

[ I used the Daylite Carry- On Travel Pack on a 10 day trip to Europe. I love the pack. It was roomy enough to hold all I needed for 10 days, and I was able to carry the pack on to each flight with different airlines. The pack is light, and spacious. I love the ability to tuck away the backpack straps and carry it as luggage, and I love that I can open it like a suitcase. I am happy I purchased my Daylite Carry- On Travel Pack 35.

[ I had been looking for a sling pack for quite a while before I came across this one. It's amazing! It's not too big or bulky, but a good size to fit everything I need for the day out and about. It's a good substitute to a purse or backpack. The front pocket on the strap is big enough to fit a chapstick or keys, while the inside pouch is big enough for wallet and phone. It's big enough to fit a waterbottle. and I love that you can switch the sides the strap is on. Highly recommend!

This pack is the perfect trail companion! I 've gotten to take it out both XC skiing and on some winter hikes and it's the perfect size for an extra layer, snacks, first aid kit, and any other gear you might need on the trail. I love the magnet strip on the water bladder that nicely holds the bladder straw in space when not using it, and easy to drink out of while on the trail. The pockets are well thought out and easily accessible. I do wish the side water bottle pockets were a little larger to fit my nalgene, but definitely not a dealbreaker since it has the integrated bladder.

As a smaller sized gal, I 've struggled with daypacks feeling too big and bulky. The 18L was my goldilocks and is such a great size for a casual hike or wandering around town! [ I got this pack for longer day hikes, and specifically for an upcoming trip. Have n't used it for said trip yet, but have used it on local hikes to get a good feel for it and it checks all my boxes. It's uncomplicated( just one main compartment with some exterior storage) and I love the padded hipbelt. Also like the fact that there's compatibility for a water bladder. The side pockets stretch enough to accommodate the large nalgene, and there's a small zipper compartment at top for keys, wallet, etc.

This is my first day pack with internal frame. It makes it very comfortable to wear, balancing the weight down onto my hips( even unbelted and even wearing it on one shoulder) and the frame with mesh back keeps my back cooler even in 93 degree humid weather. The pockets are n't ideal. The top front pocket is very small( and if you put a heavy phone there it is unbalanced). The internal( water or laptop) pocket is deep- so anything small put in there is lost to posterity( beware). The water bottle pockets on the side fit a smaller water bottle easily but tougher with anything larger. I used it as a carry on( personal item) and no complaints from the flight attendants about how it fit under the seat in front of me, though the top did stick out a little and I found it to be a bit in the way of stretching my lets. It fit a ton of stuff- I had an umbrella and rain jacket, wallet, cosmetic size bag with electronic cables and earbuds, cosmetic bag with actual cosmetics, book, magazine, two journals, an airport shopping bag( small), and small cosmetic bag with meds in there. There is a helpful clip to attach your neck pillow! It also has a rain cover in a pouch at the bottom that was very useful in a downpour, if a little hard to extract and put in place on the fly.

I ’ ve been using this backpack for a while now and I have to say, one of its great features is the smart design that balances comfort and functionality. The padded shoulder straps make it really comfortable to carry, even when it ’s fully loaded. I also love the multiple compartments — it ’s easy to keep everything organized, from my laptop to small accessories. The material feels durable and water- resistant, so I don ’ t have to worry about sudden rain. Overall, it ’s a stylish, practical, and reliable backpack that works perfectly for both daily use and travel.

I bought this item a few months back for my girlfriend. She loved the light purple color I chose as well as how comfortable it was. So far she has enjoyed it on multiple day hikes and loves how simple the organization is as well as the support while loaded up with layers, lunch, first aid kit, etc. She especially loved the ability to add her trekking poles to her pack while not in use and overall is happy with her Osprey Hikelite pack.

I love my Beta Light 30 backpack!! The top opens up nice and wide so I can see what I ’ ve packed readily. The XS size fits me like a glove and it is so roomy yet very light weight. I have t yet tested the waterproof quality, but I have little doubt that it will hold up to the elements as proclaimed by other happy customers. I absolutely love Black Diamond products! High quality and dependable.

I have n't used this pack but it looks great, with excellent materials, pockets and overall construction. It also seems to tick most boxes for ultra runners who may be doing multi- day events requiring a lot of mandatory gear. Some runners may question the design choice of having only one side of the vest strap capable of carrying a 500ml soft flask. Perhaps this is the preferred option for fastpacking but having capacity for two soft flasks in addition to two zippered pockets on either side like the BD Distance 15 pack would be ideal, at least for ultra runners.

As an ultralight Backpacker, I leave my honest review here. First, I have to say that I was excited when I got this backpack; the fabrics and the implementation are outstanding excellent job Black Diamond. The fast backpack idea with those extra shoulder straps makes this backpack ideal. Not only is this one waterproof or almost, but it is merely one of the best backpacks I ever owned. Believe it or not, I have tried several UL backpacks in my career. The only downside I see is that the shoulder pocket with the zipper is too tiny to hold a standard- sized cell phone comfortably. If I had a bigger one, I could guarantee it would never fit inside.

I hiked across Spain for 500 miles over 35 days carrying this pack. I had NO issues and it was so comfortable. I carried about 13- 15 lbs with a water bladder. Only wish the water bladder nozzle had a cover as every time I set the pack down my nozzle touched the ground- good for my immune system! I just feel so grateful for my pack. One of your sales people on the phone recommended it after I tried several other models and sizes. Could n't be happier. One of the zippers broke before my trip but it was n't key. I will call regarding this. Otherwise- highly recommend this pack. So light, so comfy, so kind to my body after a long haul. Thank you.

The Large size Betalight45 fits me very well. The shoulder straps are comfortable with a loaded pack and the hip belt sits properly to take some weight. I ’ ve taken my Gregory Women ’s Jade 24 LT Backpack on two training hikes so far as I prepare for my upcoming trip to Havasu Falls, and it ’s been exactly what I needed. The organization is one of the biggest highlights. The front pocket is perfect for storing food and snacks so I don ’ t have to dig through the main compartment during breaks. Inside the main compartment, I can comfortably fit clothes, toiletries, and a water bladder without everything feeling cramped. I also love the hip belt pockets — they ’ re ideal for quick- access essentials like lip balm, sunscreen, etc… while hiking. The only con is that my phone doesn ’ t fit. [ Got it in blue. It's a really good looking shade of blue, and the pack itself it well constructed with a good number of features. Personally I do n't like the Osprey trekking pole loop design and I would rather have loops on the outside of the packs for carrying poles when I do n't use them. I 'd also prefer mesh pouch rather than the zip down the middle. These are n't big deals though because I knew of them when I bought the pack, so that advice goes to anyone looking at this pack. I ’ ve taken this backpack to two different 30 day trips. And I have been through every single situation, terrain( minus snow), 10+ flights( a few made made check in bag) camped, hiked, walked through beaches, visited hostels. Hours in airports and this backpack is A beast. I stuff the heck out of this bag. It packs like a 50L. The top most pocket is so big. Can fit a toiletry bag and more. The fact that it's waterproof means I can take it on river trips or Italian boardwalks and never worry about my belongings surviving rainstorms or splashes. My only complaint is that it's just one giant open pocket, but the cinch straps on the front make it easy to decrease the size of the pack when carrying smaller loads.

The Ultra- Sil Dry Day Pack is uber lightweight for a dry bag/ backpack combo. It packs up into its own small 3 '' carry bag so it's great and small to keep in a purse or laptop bag for availability on the go. The drypack carries a lot and feels sturdy on your bag. It does n't bounce around even when half full. When full, you still hardly notice it's on your back. We used it for long hikes and to keep my camera dry in the case of a rain shower. It worked well! At the top of the pack is a buckle that allows you to roll down the top of the pack and buckle it, thus keeping moisture out. This particular bag is slightly harder to pack into its own carry bag overall, unlike the Ultra- Sil Daypack. The top buckle is harder to repack into the carry bag. I found myself packing it 75% of the way in and letting the carabiner and buckle hang outside of the carry bag. Not ideal but liveable for such a lightweight, capable dry bag. Outside of the drypack are stretchable tie- downs that can hold a jacket or other items outside of the bag. These are good for jacket but I 'd be careful with heavier items that could slip out.

I love it and would absolutely recommend it. So nice to have when traveling and you do not know what the weather or activity will be, or if you may need a spare bag. It can be tricky to put back into the bag but memorize the way it came and it normally goes back in. Overall it is a well though out design.

This pack is amazing! It's lightweight, durable and stayed dry in almost all Alaska conditions. It did become slightly wet inside with 10+ hours of extreme rain.

[ This bag is really nice! The material is everything I was looking for( light and soft). The largest complaint with the bag as- is is that I wish the opening was bigger to access items on the bottom. It seems rather restrictive, but it's not meant to hold a lot like other bags. The main reason I purchased this, is because I wanted a single- day pack for hiking that included a slot for a hydration pack, and a lot of the other NF hiking bags were more geared towards overnight and too large for just a couple hour hike. This bag does have a side pocket for a cellphone or keys/wallet, and the other side has a pocket to put a 18- 20oz( estimated) bottle of water. Would like to see one additional pocket in the main compartment, perhaps instead of the laptop pouch. This bag's identity really confused me, because seeing as how this bag has a hydration bag slot, I would n't think you 'd use the inside pocket for your laptop/work. Since they 're missing the market on smaller trail bags( that include a hydration bag slot), they would be better off scrapping the internal laptop pocket in this and put in another zipper compartment instead. Overrall, I would still recommend this bag for someone who does n't mind keeping things minimal, and I would certainly be interested in them making an updated version of this with a few changes and perhaps up the capacity to 25L

Have used this backpack commuting, hiking, etc. for the past month or so, and it has been versatile and durable. The padded backrest is solid and comfortable, interior pockets and storage provide reasonable and effective space. Love the front pouch for cramming in a jacket for quick commute. Would recommend as a daily commuter pack or hiking daypack.

Bought this for a trip to Zion and the Grand Canyon. Very spacious and light bag for day hikes. Supportive chest and waist straps. Water bottle holders held my dual 40 oz metal water bottles easily. Perfect bag for my trip consisting of 10- 15 mile day hikes.

We bought this to start hiking. It is lightweight but has plenty of room for what we need to take with us. The straps are big enough not to pinch or make it uncomfortable to wear.

I love the size- not too small for short trips/ hikes. Plenty of room and features for just enough stuff. The ambidextrous shoulder strap is a nice feature that allows me to share this with family and friends. An exterior pouch for a water bottle would be about the only upgrade I ’ d recommend, but it was easy enough to clip a bottle to the loop built into the pack without any carrying problems. Highly recommend this pack. Light, sturdy and well made. Can ’ t go wrong with the Osprey lifetime product guarantee either!

This is another high quality Osprey product but it was just too small for me. Great design however and excellent bag if you want something smaller so recommended for the right person.

[ I bought this for my aussiedor who pulls ALOT and this harness has great control. I love that I can adjust all sides. The two little bags on side are perfect for his water, bags, treats, etc. I also love how the front is padded. My dog pulls a lot so I ’ m always scared that he ’s choking himself. The front padding makes it better. Lastly, I love the color!! It ’s so bright and perfect for the summer.

Ca n't say we 've truly tested on a hike yet, but have tried this on our little one and fits true to size. We 'll be taking her out very soon to actually text this out being packed.
Lightweight daypacks are designed for comfort and convenience, making them ideal for day hikes, travel, or daily use. Their reduced weight allows for easier carrying, especially during long excursions, while still providing ample space for essentials. Additionally, many lightweight daypacks feature breathable materials and ergonomic designs to enhance comfort during use.
When selecting a lightweight daypack, consider features such as adjustable straps for a customized fit, multiple compartments for organization, and water-resistant materials for protection against the elements. Look for packs with ventilation systems to keep you cool and comfortable, as well as lightweight yet durable fabrics that can withstand regular use.
Lightweight daypacks are versatile and can be used for a variety of outdoor activities, including hiking, biking, and casual outings. However, their capacity and design may make them less suitable for extended trips or heavy loads. It's important to choose a daypack that meets your specific needs based on the duration and intensity of your activities.
To find the right size lightweight daypack, consider what you plan to carry and the duration of your outings. Daypacks typically range from 10 to 30 liters in capacity, with smaller sizes suitable for short trips and larger sizes accommodating more gear. It's also helpful to try on different packs to ensure a comfortable fit and proper weight distribution.
Lightweight daypacks are often made from synthetic materials such as nylon or polyester, which provide durability while keeping the weight down. Many packs also feature water-resistant coatings or treatments to protect your belongings from moisture. Additionally, some models incorporate breathable mesh for comfort and ventilation during use.
