I originally purchased the Hook 4 and used it for a couple of years. When I had some screen problems with that unit, I decided to upgrade based on the reviews I read on the Hook Reveal. What an enormous difference!! The detail, clarity, custom screen options, ease of use are among many of the things that are an improvement over the Hook 4. I can ’ t say enough good things about this unit.

Bought and installed this a couple months back and just got to use it. It works flawlessly! Still tuning it in for graph preferences since it offers a plethora of them, but hands down my best purchase for the front of my boat.

When selecting a mount for your fish finder, consider the type of boat you have and the mounting surface available. Look for mounts that offer stability and ease of installation, as well as compatibility with your specific fish finder model. Additionally, consider the material and durability of the mount to ensure it can withstand the marine environment.
Yes, there are several types of mounts available for fish finders, including fixed mounts, portable mounts, and suction cup mounts. Each type serves different purposes; for example, portable mounts are ideal for anglers who move between different locations, while fixed mounts provide a stable and secure installation for permanent setups. It's important to choose a mount that fits your fishing style and boat configuration.
To ensure your fish finder mount is secure, follow the manufacturer's installation instructions carefully and use the appropriate tools for installation. Regularly check the mount for any signs of wear or loosening, especially after rough outings. Additionally, consider using a mount with a locking mechanism for added security during use.
Yes, many fish finder mounts are designed to be versatile and can be used in various water conditions, including freshwater and saltwater. However, it's important to choose a mount that is made from corrosion-resistant materials if you plan to use it in saltwater environments. Always ensure that the mount is securely attached to withstand waves and currents.
The placement of a fish finder mount is influenced by factors such as the type of boat, the transducer's optimal angle, and accessibility for viewing the display. Ideally, the mount should be positioned where it can provide a clear view of the water while allowing easy access to the controls. Consider the boat's layout and any potential obstructions when determining the best location.
