After experiencing heel pain similar to a time where I had plantar fasciitis I immediately scheduled time with a doctor at Twin Cities Orthopedics. He found that while I did not have plantar fasciitis I needed to strengthen my foot muscles& use an insole that would provide better arch support. Swapped into my Air Jordan 1s for extra support. Not too thick that it changes the fit/sizing of the shoe. I have very flat feet so anything with an elevated/lifted heel usually causes back pain( which is why Jordan 1s are my preferred sneaker due to flatness of the shoe) but still needed something with arch support. These have held up after a month of solid work with no complaints. I purchased size range 13- 14 for my size 13 sneakers and they fit without having to be cut or modified, they maybe short in a size 14 of the same style sneaker.

I 've been using Superfeet insoles for decades. In ski boots, hiking boots, running shoes, etc. After trying other brands, I 've always come back to Superfeet, with the exception of Sole Performance re- corked medium insoles, but even that's a toss up. Once trimmed, the Superfeet feel good from the start and continue to serve me well for quite some time. I use them for walking distances, standing on my feet all day at work and light hikes. The family was getting ready for a 2 week trip to Europe. I told them we would be walking 100 miles in 2 weeks, and would need to find great walking shoes. [ I 'm an Altra enthusiast. My last pair fell apart after so little wear so I decided to give these Hokas a go. They are n't as blocky as the other Hoka models and have loads of grip. There's a little more of a heel lift to these vs. the Altra Olympus, but not much. They run pretty wide. I put orthotics in mine and they 're really supportive; I can hike for hours and my feet do n't even get tired!
