I learned very quickly that the Sorel Caribou boot was the Best way to keep feet dry and relatively warm in the Great white Tundra of the North East states. Best winter hunting boots you can get. I 've been using mine for about 10 years now, and buy a set for each of my teens each year. If you get the fit right, they do n't pull your socks down when you walk. Very good for walking unlink the tradition tall boots. Most importantly, they are the only boots that you can sit for a couple of hours in the winter with and your feet do n't get cold. Any other boot I have ever tried, even the ones that claim- 30C, my feet always got cold really quickly, Even in only- 10C. Yet these boots I can sit for a couple of hours in- 30C, and everything else on me gets cold EXCEPT my feet.

The boot is fairly lightweight and rugged. Very simple boot without much to it. Fits true to size and is able to lace up securely. Not as stiff as most other wading boots. I like that it has the metal rivets along the eyelights for the laces. These boots appear as if they were made to last. I would recommend this boot to others. It was a tad bulkier than what it appears in the picture, but not excessively so. Fits well with a lot of good support. Easy to walk in for a long day of fishing.

Not the MOST comfortable, but it is a more old school boot. Soles hold up incredibly well considering I walk on broken glass every day. I bought these boots over a year ago. So far they have been pretty good. I work as a full time diesel technician and occasionally have to do landscaping and construction work and these boots have held up pretty well to everything I do. The oil, diesel, break cleaner, etc have not hurt the leather nor the stitches at all. I will say I am disappointed in the insoles, being that they only lasted me about 4 months. I have had to replace the insoles quite often but mainly because I do weigh about 255 lbs and have a very wide foot. Also the hook eyelet on my left boot broke after about 6 months as well. The water proof feature has been great even for being a lace up boot. I ’ ve been I some fairly deep water( nearly covering up the entire boot) and haven ’ t had any water go into these boots or the leather. All in all these boots have been a strong and sturdy boot for what I need them for. I ’ d recommend them highly since I haven ’ t had much issues with them besides the two mentioned and have found them super comfortable

The boots are great! Handled spring time in Colorado so raining, ice, sleet and then snow all in one day. I mucked horse stalls and had very warm feet while doing that chore. I have been wearing this same Columbia mid- boot for several years. I ride a Harley motorcycle and these boots have lived up to their billing. They are waterproof and best of all they are cool during the hot summers of south Louisiana because of their breathability properties. Unlike all other brands, the wide width on these boots are ACTUALLY WIDE WIDTH and the widest you 'll find!! These boots are so incredibly comfortable, that they do not require any break- in!! The traction on the soles does wear down faster and creates poor slush/ice traction. But the soles are n't designed for mountain climbing. I do however, use them for upstate bear hunting. Another plus, is if you have hot feet that sweat; look no further. Usually my Gortex waterproof boots get a musty/mold odor. Not these, 2 years later and they only smell like the original tanned leather. All at a great price.

I ’ m on my second pair. They last about 14 months for me. But I truly don ’ t mind because these are by far the most comfortable deck boot/shoe whatever you wan na call it that I ’ ve worn. I compare the soul of the boot to one of the “ helm pads ” that are nice and squishy and comfy to save your feet back and knees on those nasty days running in a 27 ’ cc. With these no matter where you stand you have a helm pad under your feet. I ’ ve had many pairs of the original 6 ” xtratufs over the years and one pair of all black leathers 6 ” boots for work and the sports are still by far my favorite. Ordered size 9 my normal size and they fit perfect. After I put them on the first time I could tell they would be hard to take off. First half dozen times I wore them I put a plastic shopping bag over each foot to make it easier to get them off. They have since loosened up alittle so no more shopping bags. So far great boots. The plain earth color seems to blend well with multiple habitats in multiple seasons in S. Louisiana. The boots are insulated enough that my feet were comfortable during my first hunt in sub freezing temps. After hunting in them over the last few weeks in several different places, they have impressed me. The fit is perfect. Being underground in rough conditions, wet, uneven and rocky, these are the most comfortable boots I 've had thus far. That being said there is only one flaw in the boots. The liner broke loose from the boot and I have to use a shoe horn to get one of them off. If they could prevent this from happening I would say it was the perfect boot for coalmining.

My boots just come in and they are a one size 2 BIG. Normally I ’ ll wear a ten. I had to send back and get a nine they come in and they fit perfect. They look good and I will buy another pair if they don ’ t quit making them.

Must say so far so good. Have had them less than a month but break in period was short and boots have been a comfortable addition to workday. On my feet a lot and was concerned I would not have same comfort as previous boots( had for over 12 years). A little early to comment on durability but have faith in the Carhart name. Rated quality and durability a 3 only because of short time in ownership

This is my third pair of Carhart's 6 '' Soft Toe Work Boot. I love them. They are tough, long lasting and comfortable. I use them for my everyday foot wear except dress occassions. I even take my daily four mile walk in them. I hike in them and hunt in them. For me, they are the best boot I have every owned in terms of quality. When properly maintained, they are water repellent. This would n't have been my third pair if I was n't completely sold on this Carhart product.

Been wearing them for six months now. Break in was easy, super comfortable, proving more durable than I thought they would be. Leather is holding up great, tread on the sole is very durable. Love these boots.

This boot is EXCELLENT. Rocky really nailed it here. Finally a work boot that is lightweight, yet protective. This is definitely made for carpenters, great advertising on that.
