Loving our new pizza oven, we purchased this on recommendation from my daughter who owns its big sister. We are using it with wood only which has been great and cooks pizzas to perfection! One tip I learned early on is to make sure to let it pre- heat for the best results, I usually like 500 degrees. One thing I should note is that when I was looking at purchasing this, I contacted CC to see if this would work on my cache cooker( a camp chef product from the 90s or so) and they all said that it would not. I am glad to report that it does, so if you have one of those, you are good to buy it.

Lots of comments about `` no doors available to order '' but that is not correct. I called them and ordered a door for each and they just arrived. Thanks Camp Chef!

[ I haven ’ t had the chance to fire up the Ooni Koda 2 yet, but I wanted to share my first impressions based on the unboxing experience — and so far, it ’s off to a great start. Right out of the box, the Koda 2 makes a solid first impression. The packaging was secure and thoughtfully arranged, with all components neatly packed and well- protected. Nothing was damaged in transit, and everything I expected was included: the oven itself, the stone baking board, gas hose and regulator, and a quick start guide that seems pretty straightforward and user- friendly. The build quality is impressive — sleek design, sturdy materials, and a surprisingly lightweight feel for something that looks and feels this robust. It definitely has that premium, outdoor- cooking vibe I was hoping for. The design is also intuitive, and setting it up was quick and easy — just a few simple steps and it was ready to go. So far, I ’ m really pleased. The real test will come when I fire it up and start slinging some pizzas, but at this stage, the Koda 2 is already living up to the hype. Can ’ t wait to test its performance and share a full review once I get cooking.

Temperature control is a bit tricky- definitely pay close attention because your pizza will cook FAST! A little crisped on our first try but so delicious. [ The oven gets very hot very fast even at lower grill temperatures. It is quite large and gives you some good space to work with. I do wish the front lid was easier to work with, and that it was easier to remove the stone for infrequent cleaning( like when I had a chunk of mozzarella fall off!). But overall I can ’ t imagine why you ’ d pass this up if you already have a compatible Camp Chef.

Extremely happy with our Camp Chef Artisan Pizza Oven. Zero learning curve... made three great pizzas on the first three attempts. On our first attempt, we forgot to bring a rolling pin and as a result turned into more of a deep dish. Still great. Bought another rolling pin to keep in our travel trailer. On the second and third pizzas( different days with using the rolling pin), they were awesome. Prep the pizza, turn the heat on high for two minutes, then turn down to low for the remaining time. We use Trader Joe's pizza dough, TJ's pizza sauce, and TJ's shredded mozzarella, plus our ingredients of choice( spicy pork sausage, jalapeños, and red onions). We also made garlic bread in the pizza oven... also amazing.

Well, here I am in the thick of it, in Spruce Pine NC, no electric, no services, and my refrigerator/freezer slowly defrosting... BUT! Camp Chef to the Rescue!! We set up our Camp Chef Pizza Oven, took the top off( after we baked cinnamon bread for everyone) and proceeded to Water Bath Can all meat and produce!!( Meat quarts 3 hours full boil, season prior, pints 2 hours). This thing is a Miracle! We not only survived, we thrived!!! If willing, please consider donating a few to the area, especially the Green Valley Fire Departement that took care of everyone.
