The Quest Expedition was exactly what i was looking for. I tend to over pack for day trips so i went for the 45L size pack. Can still fit a lot stuff inside. Its very comfortable to wear all day. I feel like its very well made and will hold up for a while.

Nice sized backpack with quality construction. Big enough for medium trips without being too big. Lots of pockets for storage. Nicely padded straps. Perfect for flights or medium length backpacking.

This backpack is very big and sturdy and it can definitely hold a lot of whatever you need. I like that is has additional smaller pockets on the handles and straps to keep small things like wallets, cash, or cards dry and separate from the rest of the items you 're holding. the arm and waist straps are seemingly strong and easy to adjust to proper fit, and they hold the pack in place very securely. It's also nice looking and the easy to remove/attach waterproof cover is an additional plus.

This backpack is very nice. Has several smaller pockets to store several items. It is lightweight and comfortable to wear. The straps adjust very easily. It also has a rain cover that works great. And the cover is easily stored in one of the pockets. Would definitely recommend

This is a lightweight backpack that I feel is a good balance of capacity and comfort. Lightweight but durable fabric. It has buckles that can keep the backpack more compact, or unclipped, can expand to the full size. Has many pockets and comes with a rain shield in a bottom pocket to cover the whole backpack in the rain. The chest and waist clips to secure the backpack are comfortable too. This backpack also has a central zipper down the middle which would help you reach anything inside easily, even in the bottom of the pack.

This is a very high quality hiking backpack. It is lightweight, but seems very durable and well made. There is a high attention to detail as well. The water bottle pockets are noce and stretchy to hold a variety of different sized bottles. I would definitely recommend this product to anybody who doesnt want to break the bank when it comes to a nice hiking bakpack.

Hiking backpack is very srurdt and has plenty of space. I was able to fit my jetboil, jetboil pan, spatula, utinsils, compact sleeping bag, snacks, water bottle. And other items. They back support is great. Has plenty of pockets for individual items. Seems to ne rain resistant which is a big plus.

[ The Transcend 50L Hiking Backpack: A Versatile Companion for the Trail The Transcend 50L Hiking Backpack is a formidable choice for outdoor enthusiasts seeking a durable, versatile, and comfortable backpack for their adventures. Having used this backpack on several hiking trips, I can confidently say it's a reliable companion for both day hikes and extended treks.** Durability( 5/5):** The Transcend 50L is built to last. Its rugged materials and reinforced stitching make it resilient against wear and tear. Even after traversing through rough terrains, the backpack showed minimal signs of damage, a testament to its outstanding durability.** Capacity( 4/5):** With a 50- liter capacity, this backpack strikes a great balance between being spacious enough to hold all your essentials and compact enough to prevent overpacking. The main compartment easily accommodates clothing, camping gear, and food supplies, while the numerous pockets and attachments allow for organized storage of smaller items.** Comfort( 4/5):** The padded shoulder straps and back panel provide decent comfort, especially during long hikes. The airflow system helps keep your back cool and minimizes discomfort caused by sweat. However, some users might find the hip belt padding a bit lacking for heavier loads, and it could be improved for even more comfort during extended treks.** Features( 4/5):** The Transcend 50L boasts various thoughtful features, such as multiple gear loops, hydration reservoir compatibility, and adjustable straps for securing your gear. It also includes a rain cover, which is a valuable addition for keeping your belongings dry in inclement weather. The only downside is that some users may find the zippers a bit tricky to operate, especially when the bag is fully loaded.** Price( 5/5):** The Transcend 50L offers great value for its price point. It competes well with more expensive hiking backpacks on the market while maintaining a reasonable cost. In summary, the Transcend 50L Hiking Backpack is a reliable choice for outdoor enthusiasts seeking a durable and reasonably priced backpack. Its versatile design, decent comfort, and excellent durability make it suitable for a wide range of hiking adventures. While it might not be the absolute best in every aspect, it delivers a commendable overall performance that will serve you well on the trails.

[ This backpack has so much space! There are countless pockets for optimizing storage of all your goods and makes everything so easy to access. The pack itself is pretty comfy and has good structural support to keep your back from hurting. I like the adjustability of all the straps and the big zipper pulls which make them easy to open with gloves on. This includes a rain cover which is nice to have in case you encounter bad weather. And the material itself seems durable and lightweight!

I got this backpack to prepare for my 3 month trip in the Caribbean and it ’s has been so helpful to say the least. I have an overpacking problem but all of the different compartments and pockets made it so I could fit everything I needed. The support on the backside of it helps so much with my back pain and doesn ’ t make me feel exhausted at the end of a busy travel day. Furthermore, the top bit comes off as a smaller backpack which was perfect for day trips. The only thing i would change would be the smaller buckles that attach the front pocket to the bag, they were a little weak. However, I don ’ t have any worry they will come undone when I check it at the airport. Overall, this bag has been a HUGE help!! It definitely has made my traveling much easier.

[ This Ampex 65L transcend backpack is quite impressive. It checks all high- end features like- waterproof material, little pockets for essentials is awesome. It provides really decent support for the frame on the back and the rest on the hips, rather than on upper back and shoulders. Lastly as it is 65L- it can pack everything needed for international or a multi- day hike comfortably.

This is a great backpack for the price. I am giving it 5 stars because it's everything you would want and need in a pack. The middle zipper opening is an amazing feature that allows you to get into your items without having to pull everything out from the top like a conventional pack. One downside are the hip straps. I feel they could be slightly larger for the size of pack, I had some discomfort but nothing terribly bad, likely had more to do with me being out of shape as well. I recommended this to a buddy and he has one and uses it quite often like myself.
5

I went backpacking in Linville Gorge, NC for three days, and honestly, my best choice was the 65L backpack. It fit what I needed and had plenty of room to spare. The support to keep my back from sweating, the elastic exterior pockets, and the included small daypack are my favorite details. I would change the side straps for the rigid mat to be a little longer, and the phone holder to be more elastic, since my S23 Ultra does n't fit. I highly recommend this backpack without a doubt.

I have been shopping for a backpack for a few months now, reading all the reviews. I was n't quite sure what I wanted, so I ended up ordering a few different ones. This 45 L pathway 2 backpack is likely my favorite in a lot of ways. The waist strap is great with good cushioning, preferable imo to the current sytle of thin straps. The chest strap is nice too, adjustable height. The layout of pockets is pretty much spot on on this bag, I could n't ask for a better design. Even compared to more expensive brands. Super happy with this and have purchased a second. Will continue to look at high sierra in the future.

This backpack is well proportioned and has all of the right amount of pockets for storage of all sizes of items for your journey. It is also comfortable to wear which is a must. My only complaints are two minor things. First, the bottom zipper where the sleeping bag goes can get stuck easily on the zipper guard/overhang. Second, the padding on the waistline can soak up a lot of sweat. But overall a great backpack and looks cool too. I will keep it for years to come.

I ’ ve taken my Gregory Women ’s Jade 24 LT Backpack on two training hikes so far as I prepare for my upcoming trip to Havasu Falls, and it ’s been exactly what I needed. The organization is one of the biggest highlights. The front pocket is perfect for storing food and snacks so I don ’ t have to dig through the main compartment during breaks. Inside the main compartment, I can comfortably fit clothes, toiletries, and a water bladder without everything feeling cramped. I also love the hip belt pockets — they ’ re ideal for quick- access essentials like lip balm, sunscreen, etc… while hiking. The only con is that my phone doesn ’ t fit. I chose the bright yellow color, and I ’ m glad I did because it ’s highly visible and easy to spot. Overall, this pack feels practical, well- designed, and great for day hikes and trip preparation. [ Got it in blue. It's a really good looking shade of blue, and the pack itself it well constructed with a good number of features. Personally I do n't like the Osprey trekking pole loop design and I would rather have loops on the outside of the packs for carrying poles when I do n't use them. I 'd also prefer mesh pouch rather than the zip down the middle. These are n't big deals though because I knew of them when I bought the pack, so that advice goes to anyone looking at this pack. Research the features before you pull the trigger.

[ I was looking for a carry- on backpack and I researched a lot of options before choosing this one. I love that the suspension is very comfortable for walking a mile plus from a bus stop or train station( I have only used it on one trip so far but had to walk a mile from the train station to my hotel and this was fine) but it also zips away( which I did when I left the bag at that hotel because it was too early to check in). Good stuff. I look forward to traveling more with this bag later this summer.

This is my first day pack with internal frame. It makes it very comfortable to wear, balancing the weight down onto my hips( even unbelted and even wearing it on one shoulder) and the frame with mesh back keeps my back cooler even in 93 degree humid weather. The pockets are n't ideal. The top front pocket is very small( and if you put a heavy phone there it is unbalanced). The internal( water or laptop) pocket is deep- so anything small put in there is lost to posterity( beware). The water bottle pockets on the side fit a smaller water bottle easily but tougher with anything larger. I used it as a carry on( personal item) and no complaints from the flight attendants about how it fit under the seat in front of me, though the top did stick out a little and I found it to be a bit in the way of stretching my lets. It fit a ton of stuff- I had an umbrella and rain jacket, wallet, cosmetic size bag with electronic cables and earbuds, cosmetic bag with actual cosmetics, book, magazine, two journals, an airport shopping bag( small), and small cosmetic bag with meds in there. There is a helpful clip to attach your neck pillow! It also has a rain cover in a pouch at the bottom that was very useful in a downpour, if a little hard to extract and put in place on the fly.

I ’ ve been using this backpack for a while now and I have to say, one of its great features is the smart design that balances comfort and functionality. I also love the multiple compartments — it ’s easy to keep everything organized, from my laptop to small accessories. It ’s purpose will be to get me thru a 100 mile trek I ’ ll be doing for an autoimmune charity, and I imagine by my first impressions that it will do just fine. Plenty of pockets, included rain cover, and comfy straps. Rei helped me fit it and it seems to be quite functional compared to my old external frame pack from the 90 ’s.

I love everything about this pack from being compact to it ’s easy access pockets and straight forward design. I have the 75L Stout and I have packed this beast up to 35lbs and have had no discomfort on extended backpacking trips. Highly recommend!

This is one of Gregory's basic packs, essentially a Baltoro with fewer bells and whistles. I needed a 70 liter pack for a 12 day Philmont Trek, and it survived 2 years of shakedown hikes, and 2 more years of `` regular '' weekend camping use. Works well, and great bang for the buck if you are patient and watch for sales.

[ If you 're buying backpacks, Osprey is without a doubt one of the best brands. ... I love the rigid stays on this backpack so that it sits upright when you put it on the ground and the air pocket helps keep it much cooler, a total bonus when you 're hiking in the hot and humid...

[ I got this pack for longer day hikes, and specifically for an upcoming trip. Have n't used it for said trip yet, but have used it on local hikes to get a good feel for it and it checks all my boxes. It's uncomplicated( just one main compartment with some exterior storage) and I love the padded hipbelt. Also like the fact that there's compatibility for a water bladder. The side pockets stretch enough to accommodate the large nalgene, and there's a small zipper compartment at top for keys, wallet, etc.

[ If you 're buying backpacks, Osprey is without a doubt one of the best brands. I currently own at least 5 packs of different sizes for trekking, day hiking and traveling. Osprey incorporates every detail one could want and backs up their work with a great warranty. Look no further!!

[ This is a very high- quality product. Carrying heavy loads is really nice with this. I chose black because it appears that the packs appear much brighter in real life than in the photos. Black looks amazing with yellow interwoven threads in the AG area. Just a work of art!

[ This bag is super high quality, you can feel it in the material and just how well it fits to you with the anti gravity technology. There are a good amount of pockets to sperate certain gear but not to many to being useless. The bag is definitely not for ultralight backpackers but is perfect for backpackers who appreciate being comfortable.

[ I 'd been using my old pack for 20 years and just bought the Osprey Atmos 65. I just came back from a five day trip in the Beartooths( Montana) and I was glad to have the new pack. It definitely put the weight on my hips and was much easier on my shoulders than my old pack. The suspension system was also great, making this a more comfortable backpack. It's almost 4 pounds lighter than my previous pack as well. I 've only used it 5 days, so ca n't really comment on the long- term durability. I 've had rotator cuff surgery on both shoulders over the past 2 1/2 years so my shoulders appreciated the new pack as well. Very pleased so far.

[ This pack is the perfect size for anything from a weekend to a full week of backpacking. It is very comfortable and can adjust to just about any size. [ I LOVE this back. I backpacked through deep mud and heavy rain. The included rain cover was great for hiking and laying the bag down in the muddy vestibule. It feels like you are carrying half the weight when it is on and it can be adjusted to whatever your carrying preference is. I had and easily accessible spot for everything. I compared it to many other bags before settling on it. No other bag could beat the comfort, which is really important for a person with back pain.

[ I bought this bag the day before I left to hike the W circuit in Patagonia and I am so thankful I did. This pack was the perfect size for the 4 days/ 4 nights worth of hiking( 50+ miles in total). I have issues with my back and sciatica and never once felt any discomfort while carrying ~50lbs of gear in this pack. This is my 4th Osprey backpack purchase( have 3 other sizes) and this is the first one to have a rain cover built in! THANK YOU! The quality of the bags are the best and last for years!

[ This pack meets almost all my expectations and hopes! I love the suspension system the most. My pack feels like a hug! I appreciate the choice of removing the “ brain ” to save weight. The hip belt is comfortable. My only issue is with the shoulder straps. Over many hours on the trail, I notice that the straps do not sit completely comfortably around the front of my shoulders. That said, this is still my favorite pack out there!
5
KDKL
I love osprey products and unfortunately found that most of their products do not fit XS torsos. However. The EJA is the exception. It fits through the shoulders and leaves plenty of room for tightening the hip belt. It ’s like wearing a hug. I did 3 10+mile days with this pack( 48l) and it was just the right size for my and my dog ’s needs. The ONLY complaint I have is that the shoulder padding could use reinforcements. I found the material shredding my shirt and leaving friction burns on my collarbones after day 2. I ended up shoving my extra sun shirt under the straps to widen the coverage on my shoulders. I could probably wear thicker shirts for winter trips, but summertime screams for tank tops and breathable materials that just didn ’ t do enough for comfort on that long of a trip. I will be using this pack again, but definitely looking into mods for the shoulder strap padding

[ I purchased this after having a bad experience with a different pack of a different brand. I am 5 ’ 5 ” and weigh about 116 pounds. We bought this for my son as we got more into backpacking. This pack is versatile and handles his gear nicely. It isn ’ t unusual for him to strap the sleeping pad to the bottom of the pack. We use light gear, but definitely not all ultralight ultra compact gear. Durability is not a concern. I have a larger 80L pack and am considering getting this same pack for a more compact carry. I would say this pack could fit the bill for beginners and advanced users alike.

If you ’ re going out for a day or two, any old backpack will pretty much do. But if you ’ re going out for several days, carrying some serious supplies, are gon na be doing some real travel, this pack was the best for my money. It made a huge difference in my trip this year vs. years prior. [ The new updated Osprey Rook 65 Performs outstanding. It caries the load very well. While I used it on a winter day hike with only 25 lbs in it I feel it will comfortably carry about 35- 40 lbs. I did n't understand the significance of a female- specific pack until I got this one-- I had been using a 75L+ unisex/ male pack for 10+ years and it always felt just a little off. The first time putting this one on, fully loaded, for a 5 day backpacking trip, I realized what a game- changer it was. [ It's light enough for me to use for small loads and big enough for me to carry a few days worth of stuff as well. I like the access options to the main compartment so I can pack items in the most accommodating way with weight where I want it but not having to unpack just to access whatever is on the bottom. Osprey quality so the only precaution I take while it's getting moved out of my hands is fasten all the clips and tuck excess strap material. I appreciate the integrated rain cover more than I thought I would. I already do recommend the pack to buddies and I would buy it again.

First time Osprey customer and I purchased this based on size, looks and comfort. I used this pack on an overnight hike up a strenuous 6km up hill, through waist deep snow in places. It carried the 40- 50lbs well, the hip strap with the wire takes a lot of the weight off the shoulders. It has lots of adjustability and many pockets. I like the fact that you can unzip the front and access items in the bottom without having to unpack everything. Two side pockets that fit larger sized water bottles( Nalgene 1L) The SM/Med fits my 5'10 medium sized frame well. Osprey has gained a lifelong customer

I 've had this pack since 2006. It's been on many adventures with me, from backpacking in Canyonlands to training hikes in Teluride to travel through Taiwan. For several years, I used this bag for grocery shopping and going to the laundry mat, when it was often 70 pounds. It's so comfortable that even fully loaded, I can easily dance while wearing it. This pack has survived bear attacks, rain storms, deserts, baggage handlers, and having its capacity tested endlessly. After 15 years, I 've noticed the first sign of wear- a small tear in a seam. I 'm happy with the longevity of the product, and I 'm heartened that I can send it to Osprey for a professional- level repair for just the cost of one- way shipping. The All Mighty Guarantee is one reason I 'm so loyal to Osprey- they did a fantastic job repairing bear damage, and they quickly sent me a set of replacement buckles after I damaged one of mine. I love how comfortable the hip belt and harness are, partly thanks to the high degree of adjustability. If it every gets lost or stolen, I will happily buy the same bag. I barely notice my bag while I 'm hiking, meanwhile my hiking buddies complain about how uncomfortable their similarly priced non- Osprey packs are, or say how happy they are to get them off. I do n't mind how the weight gets divided on group trips, because I know my pack can handle adding on the tent, carrying more than my share of food, and having a few liters of extra water. If you 're looking for a comfortable bag that you can use in a range of circumstances for decades to come, look no further than the Osprey Ariel.

I was skeptical but this pack performed very well. I really liked the U- zip access, huge hip pockets, and the side pockets that I can grab a waterbottle from while wearing the pack. A couple of things I did n't like: those huge hip pockets left no room for a bear spray holster, there is no way for the lid to double as a separate pack for little jaunts from camp, and the hip belt was maxed tight on my 34 '' waist in the Med/LG frame choice. I could get the waist belt tight enough but if I stopped eating cookies...

[ The Ariel Plus 85 backpack was a game changer for me. I 'm not a `` professional '' backpacker, so packing everything but the `` kitchen sink '' was a desire. Although I wound up not packing that too, I did manage to get everything I needed, and more, into this pack for a 3 night solo trip. An ultralight tent and a 4. 7 '' high sleeping pad were carried on the outside of the pack, while my mummy- style sleeping bag was in the sleeping bag compartment at the bottom of the bag. Other necessary items took up the rest of the space, with room to spare. Not only was there plenty of room in this bag, but it was incredibly comfortable. I 'm humpbacked, so not many backpacks are comfortable for me. With the adjustable torso feature, I was able to get a truly dialed- in fit and was able to hike without discomfort.

[ I bought this about a month ago and have done two backpacking trips, it is one of the best backpacks I 've owned so far. Osprey really has outdone themselves, especially with the front opening compartment. Easy access for everything and fits so many things in it as well. Easy to clean and the straps do n't hurt as bad as other brands.

Osprey really outdid themselves with this one, thinking of every little detail for organization and packing this pack. Additionally, the suspension is great and carrying over 40% of my body weight, I felt the weight, but not the pack! I like my comfort and I do not like to be cold and I carry food for my dogs, while they carry the water, therefore, I need all of this space. The only detail that osprey does on all of their packs is that sleeping bag divider is not fully removable, just `` '' disconnect- able '' '' so you still have to carry the divider around with you adding weight and it does get in my way. I have never used it since it prevents me from stuffing every solitary nook and cranny of the bag. Also, when the bag is stuffed, I have never been able to successfully open and then re- close the bottom zipper anyway. Same with the side zippers Osprey has on most of its packs. HOWEVER, they surely did get it right with the front zippers on this pack! You can open the entire front and then re- close it even when fully stuffed! Wonderful!!! Also, the side pockets, unlike other Osprey models, really can be used and things added and taken out even when the pack is fully stuffed. I love the front organization pockets and keep things that I need handy like GPS and maps, etc in one and repellent and netting, or if it is a cold, snowy backpack, gloves and hat, in the other.

Finally a large woman's specific pack! Thank you Osprey! I have been using men's or unisex packs my whole life until last year. What a difference specificity makes! This pack is so incredibly comfortable you do n't really know you have it on. I am certain I will be able to travel more distance without fatigue with this pack. Six pounds for the M/L may seem like a heavier pack, but the infrastructure and material is worth it. This pack will be my only pack for multi day trips! Thank you.

I adore this pack. My mom bought the Ariel 85L for me a few years ago( 2021) for my first guiding job, and it has been my companion ever since. The pockets make it easy for me to stay organized and access a variety of gear while on the trail, and the brain turns into a little day pack. The only negative on the day pack feature is that the straps secure with plastic toggles through loops rather than buckles, so they come out when you are n't wearing the pack. This pack is super durable. I have sat on it, accidently thrown it in a beaver pond, checked it at the airport, and much more, and it has n't ripped or shown much wear yet( knock on wood of course). The water bottle pockets have a holster feature, so you can access your bottles without help and fit notebooks, maps, or fuel bottles in the top part of the pocket. I am a notorious over packer, and I can always fit everything I need and still hike comfortably with this pack. If you like ultra light this might not be your pack, but if you want to hike for a long time while staying organized and comfortable this is a great pack.

6/22: had the Sirrus 24 for years. liked it. Compression- fratured lumbar region early spring. Feared hiking days over. stubborn but realistic: Had to carry pack light and high. Wore same clothes daily, hat, pricey poles. Tied jacket around waist, saved pack space for tent, food, water, rain gear, navigation, first aid, sleeping bag n cooking gear. There was other stuff inside bag, but I forget. Was able to carry light even with food. This pack solved my weight fears: helped me keep all under weight, not stressing back. Wore a lot; usually kept inside pack. Used water bladder. Was able to muster the entire CT in 2022. Cons: not able to reach back and grasp water bottles, pockets on belt too small and plastic zippers ceased in cold. Otherwise; really liked.

[ I bought this backpack as a gift for my husband, who is a multi- day hiker. I am not a hiker myself, so I was a little nervous about the purchase, but Osprey made it easy take the chance. And he loves it! Its very well ventilated, light weight, and has great access for things you need to reach for regularly. The hip straps are molded in a `` hugging '' position, so it makes the load feel more securely positioned over his hips and takes pressure off his lower back. And I love the color, he looks great in this shade of green. We are very happy with the purchase!

[ Great size for a variety of adventures. Super well built, as you ’ d expect from Osprey. Very comfortable, and the air flow is outstanding. You might consider the 65L if you ’ re an overpacker, but I think the 50L is great to help keep weight down.

[ The only problem I 've encountered was getting the hip belt right. I 'm a skinny guy with bony hips so it took a bit to get the hip belt right. But the pack is super customizable so I eventually figured out the setup. I got this bag to downsize/upgrade from my old 70L(?) pack. Its been perfect for 4 days of backpacking or quick car camping as well. I was initially worried about having less pockets than my old pack, but that turned out to be a non issue. Great bag!

[ This is one of the most critical pieces of gear from my 2023 Appalachian Trail thru- hike. Before I had picked any of my other gear, I knew my pack would be an Osprey. It did n't take much research to settle on the Atmos 50. This thing is a beast and could handle anything I threw at it or in it during my hike. The best feature is the one everybody already knows well: the airspace and ergonomic curvature that perfectly forms to your back. Furthermore, this distributes weight very efficiently, allowing your hips to bear more of the burden and relieve your shoulders. Other features I love include the waist pouches where I stored quick access items like my multi- tool and hand sanitizer, the included rain fly for quick rain protection, and the angular water bottle holders on each side where I had quick and convenient access to my one liter Smartwater bottles. I even made regular use of the two pockets in the brain portion. The interior dimensions are sufficient to fit a bear vault of the largest size turned sideways. There are straps on the bottom end of the pack that frequently held my tent, though you could also extend the top straps for the brain and store your tent under there too. The shoulder straps are thick and comfortable. I was able to attach a phone pouch on one and regularly attached my umbrella to the other. The materials are rugged. Despite all the use and abuse, scraping on trees and rocks, repetitive motion abrasion, weather exposure, and slinging around, the pack held up well without failure for 2, 000 miles. There are probably adjustments I could have made to reduce weight, as this comes in at 4. 2 lb. This while most thru- hiking packs in the ultralight category are less than half of that. With Osprey you 're getting two extra pounds of comfort, in a sense. Alternatively, they do have the Exos 58 that weighs less. Also, regarding sizing, I think osprey could improve by separating them out into four: S, M, L, and XL. Other lesser known UL brands do this, so I would think osprey could handle it. This is my only real `` complaint ''. All around, Osprey is, in my book, the best backpack maker in existence.

[ The atmos ag 50/65 is THE BEST backpacking pack out there hands down. I personally use the 50 L and it is the perfect size for 1- 3 night trips. It is extremely comfortable with around 30lbs of gear. I love the sleeping bag pocket on the bottom of the pack, absolute necessity and only a feature on the atmos AG NOT the atmos LT. The removable lid is also a welcome feature when you ’ re trying to go lightweight.

This pack can carry loads for longer trails. I appreciate the firm hipbelts. They do not slip and allow you to adjust your pack properly. I would like to see more access to main compartment, but it is similar to thru hiking packs by design.

Superb quality everywhere and durable. Superb comfort. A few nip picking things I may do different is add an umbrella holder on the shoulder straps with molle webbing that I have seen done and is quite neat. Also the stow and go trek pole holders. Also I noticed the lid on top has 4 little molle like webbing straps and that is it. It would be much better if there was 2 more in the middle and all 4 were horizontal? and not diagonal? so you can attach a shock cord or straps to hold a blanket, rain coat or etc. As they are now you ca n't really do much with them especially with only 4 spaced so far apart and facing diagonally. But not a big deal and not worth a point deduction as this pack is exactly what I needed since I am almost 60 and it is so comfortable and adjustable and just hugs the body with nice air ventilation also. Once you load it right and adjust it accordingly is when you really notice this compared to a cheaper pack that just breaks you down and wets your clothes in sweat. I will never buy a cheap pack again as it is better for me to go to a premium one like this Osprey and spend a little extra for one that is made the way it should be to achieve the comfort, adjustability, and durability level needed to enjoy ones self when out and about other wise I would just be miserable and broke down with a bad back and knees. Trust me at my age its should be easy to understand.

I am an occasional backpacker and after 15 years of hiking my old Osprey Atmos had finally had enough.. the materials were starting to fall apart and after Osprey had repaired it once a couple years ago it was ready for replacement. Osprey replaced my old Atmos 65 with this Atmos LT 50 as part of the All Mighty Guarantee... the downsize and the simpler LT model were my choice and they honored it for me. Let me tell you this thing is WORLDS better than my 15 year old pack was even new! Stronger materials are used in areas that wore quickly on my old pack, the minimal design and smaller size is perfect for my gear that has lightened over the years and though this pack is slightly heavier than my old one it carries the weight MUCH better with the AG suspension, and feels lighter somehow. I am beyong thrilled with this newly designed Atmos as I tried the Exos and found it too minimal for me as I am not a weight weenie( although fully packed with food I am a smidge under 20lbs). This LT model is the perfect step up from the ultra light packs for folks like me that have lightened up over the years, but still want to be comfortable hauling a little extra. The one thing I will miss is the treking pole straps to quickly store them while scrambling up rocks or for road walks, but i made the decision to lose that and its a minimal sacrifice that I could potentially even fasion something for on my own so its not a big loss. I love this pack! Oh and the colors look better in person, not as pukey green, lol.

[ The osprey was exactly what I needed with the adjustments in the hip lumbar and shoulders it took a lot of pressure off of my shoulders and transferred it better to the hips and balanced it better. The quality the look everything was just top notch. I have the north face terra 55 but just seemed there wasn ’ t as many adjustments as the osprey. Now I know what all the hype is about with osprey.

My girlfriend ordered the extended fit for me not because I 'm morbidly obese but because my shoulders are 3x the size of the normal person. I have a bodybuilder frame and she decided to give it a go. Just wow fits my shoulders perfectly with a lot of extra room if I decide to go on a McDonald's and deep fried Twinkie diet. I always get the heaviest bag because my girlfriend ca n't handle more than 25lbs. My bag was around 60lbs on a 3 day hike. Comfort all day and room to spare!
