I like that it ’s a little long because most medium shirts are hardcore belly shirts when I pick my arms up a little.( I ’ m not that type of guy) If you are than this shirt might not be for you. I have a snap button shirt this will go under on my backpacking endeavors this summer. It seems like weight enough to be worn under something without being too hot but I guess we will see. Being light weight makes me skeptical about its ability to resist wear and tear, however I can ’ t speak from trekking experience.

I have the patina green in medium size. I go on day hikes at least twice weekly and have this shirt keeps me as comfortable as possible even in 30° Celsius weather. This shirt stays dry as I sweat during my hike. If the weather starts to cool it is easy to put a fleece layer over this one. Lastly, I do n't put this in the dryer after washing as it can become completely dry in an less than an hour in my house where the A/C temperature is set to 20° Celsius. Overall I really like it and I will get a second pair to use when I do the Salkantay Trail in the near future.

Love this shirt. Ordered two colors, the forest green and the navy/orange and both look great. They are warmer than standard button ups, they wash well/ wrinkle free. Only had for a season but they seem to be holding up well and be crafted pretty sturdily. I will probably order another color this fall as they have quickly become my favorite flannel/button up type shirt. It does run slightly loose- Im 5'10 175lbs and the M fits perfectly relaxed- not tight at all( i usually like slimmer fit but this is classic) but not too baggy to where it looks big. Reviewing this from the POV of an end user& tech fabric geek. Love the materials of the MH AirMesh. Already have the hoody; just bought the crew. Agree w/ those who say it's very warm when at standstill or w/ a wind layer over top, yet while moving or with wind and no wind layer it's like being naked. To me that says the fabric is functioning precisely how a base layer shoulder. Only con is hypothetical: delicate fabric. I 've had no issues with snags, pilling, abrasion, etc. But I would n't be surprised were I to, given the softness of the fibers and the openness of the fabric they 're arranged into. Cut/fit are unremarkable w/ exception of the somewhat high neck hole and the different accent fabric used there. Packs tiny, resilient fibers bounce back into shape immediately. Most comparable to the Patagonia Cap Air wool base layer, minus the itchiness/roughness and the ultra premium price point. Also, like Polartec Power Stretch pro, but much lighter and more airy fabric, fwiw.

In the first image, it is very light and breathable, but the fibers inside seem to be easily lost, and there are some fibers in the hand after a little scratch. I am 167cm tall and my bust is 98cm, so I wear a size M which is very comfortable. I bought 2 at the same time, for me it should be good for sweating a lot without losing warmth. I tried wearing it the other way around and it was a different feeling, like a normal sweatshirt. A very special piece of clothing, worth trying. It's a great base layer and good for cool/cold weather chillin'. Be aware that there is zero wind blocking- it's a mesh fabric- you must have a shell if you 're hiking/skiing/walking to mailbox. That said- I 've hiked in 15- 20F with wind and just this base and a heavy shell no problem. Note: It's very `` roomy ''. Recently purchased this shirt at a local outdoor shop. Probably the best fitting shirt I own. At 5'11, 180lbs, I typically fall right in between medium and large for most brands. Medium tends to be on the verge of too tight and large tends to be baggy. The Ovik twill in medium is a perfect fit. I work for the Depart of Food& Ag and spend most of my day in the field surveying& inspecting insect traps. This shirt with the extra pockets near the waste is amazing. Easy click buttons are nice, BUT, they have unspaped a few times if the shirt gets caught on something. I suppose I would rather have the shirt buttons un- latch than have the shirt itself tear. The Freewheel Short Sleeve Jersey is more like a daily driver shirt over a traditional jersey. You can wear it daily for day to day tasks then hit the trail after work. The material is similar to other Outdoor Research shirts in the 2024 clothing catalog. I took the shirt for weekly rides on local trail heads in MD in spring and on the Santos Trails in FL on a work trip. The stretch is nice when you catch a sticker bush and length is nice if you have a long torso. The only con in my opinion is that a bring color would be nice for hunting seasons. Ich kann die Hemden rundum empfehlen, durch die Eigenschaften des Materials bleibt der Reisekoffer um einiges leichter, da man weniger Wechselkleidung einpacken muss.

I will agree the fit is a tiny bit off, but the look is fantastic. I bought all three after day one in the blue shirt. The only real complaint I ’ ll have with it is how insanely wrinkled up they get in the wash. It ’s long iron job to bring it back to life. But, 🤷♂️. Big deal.

Got this to replace a 25+ year old Nike ACG baselayer that is still wearable. I bought this for it's slick and soft material, color( I love brighter colored base layers) raglan shoulder sleeves and OR's size/fit. This is actually my first OR top I 've ever purchased and I am so happy that the fit is perfect in the body/torso and sleeve length. Huge fan of this! It's a go to for slightly warmer to hotter temperatures. It's comfortable and feels far more breathable and quality than alternative sun hoodies on the market( REI Sahara sun hoody) Also, the protection I get with it from the sun is amazing. Really great shirt: comfortable for hot days and nights. It gets only 4 stars by comparison with last year's Shade Lite shirt. This one has slightly heavier fabric, and seemingly, a tighter weave, so it does n't breathe as well. I hunt, fish, shoot prs matches, do yard work, and eat dinner out in this thing. I live in AZ and sun protection is a must. Everyone 2- 3 of these. I 've used them heavily for 3 years and they are just starting to look worn. That's pretty fair, other shirts do n't get that far.

[ Shirt is mostly as expected, soft and breathable, and odor resistant. I do wish the shirt was a little thicker so it's less see- through( which would hopefully also help with making it more durable)

[ Just reviewed the long sleeve base layer, and like both of these tops. Since it is still winter in Colorado, I have been wearing the short sleeve T- shirt on the 65 degree days we sometimes have. I also like to wear the men's as opposed to the ladies for the looser fit.

They are lightweight and do a pretty good job wicking moisture and keeping you dry. I have this shirt in multiple colors, and would absolutely recommend them. I am typically an XL but bought these in XXL for a looser fit and am glad I did. I would absolutely recommend these shirts.
