This backpack is very big and sturdy and it can definitely hold a lot of whatever you need. I like that is has additional smaller pockets on the handles and straps to keep small things like wallets, cash, or cards dry and separate from the rest of the items you 're holding. the arm and waist straps are seemingly strong and easy to adjust to proper fit, and they hold the pack in place very securely. It's also nice looking and the easy to remove/attach waterproof cover is an additional plus.

It has buckles that can keep the backpack more compact, or unclipped, can expand to the full size. Has many pockets and comes with a rain shield in a bottom pocket to cover the whole backpack in the rain. The chest and waist clips to secure the backpack are comfortable too. This backpack also has a central zipper down the middle which would help you reach anything inside easily, even in the bottom of the pack.

This is my first day pack with internal frame. It makes it very comfortable to wear, balancing the weight down onto my hips( even unbelted and even wearing it on one shoulder) and the frame with mesh back keeps my back cooler even in 93 degree humid weather. The pockets are n't ideal. The top front pocket is very small( and if you put a heavy phone there it is unbalanced). The internal( water or laptop) pocket is deep- so anything small put in there is lost to posterity( beware). The water bottle pockets on the side fit a smaller water bottle easily but tougher with anything larger. I used it as a carry on( personal item) and no complaints from the flight attendants about how it fit under the seat in front of me, though the top did stick out a little and I found it to be a bit in the way of stretching my lets. It fit a ton of stuff- I had an umbrella and rain jacket, wallet, cosmetic size bag with electronic cables and earbuds, cosmetic bag with actual cosmetics, book, magazine, two journals, an airport shopping bag( small), and small cosmetic bag with meds in there. There is a helpful clip to attach your neck pillow! It also has a rain cover in a pouch at the bottom that was very useful in a downpour, if a little hard to extract and put in place on the fly.

I ’ ve taken my Gregory Women ’s Jade 24 LT Backpack on two training hikes so far as I prepare for my upcoming trip to Havasu Falls, and it ’s been exactly what I needed. The organization is one of the biggest highlights. The front pocket is perfect for storing food and snacks so I don ’ t have to dig through the main compartment during breaks. Inside the main compartment, I can comfortably fit clothes, toiletries, and a water bladder without everything feeling cramped. I also love the hip belt pockets — they ’ re ideal for quick- access essentials like lip balm, sunscreen, etc… while hiking. The only con is that my phone doesn ’ t fit. I chose the bright yellow color, and I ’ m glad I did because it ’s highly visible and easy to spot. Overall, this pack feels practical, well- designed, and great for day hikes and trip preparation. [ I got this pack for longer day hikes, and specifically for an upcoming trip. Have n't used it for said trip yet, but have used it on local hikes to get a good feel for it and it checks all my boxes. It's uncomplicated( just one main compartment with some exterior storage) and I love the padded hipbelt. Also like the fact that there's compatibility for a water bladder. The side pockets stretch enough to accommodate the large nalgene, and there's a small zipper compartment at top for keys, wallet, etc.

[ I 'd been using my old pack for 20 years and just bought the Osprey Atmos 65. I just came back from a five day trip in the Beartooths( Montana) and I was glad to have the new pack. It definitely put the weight on my hips and was much easier on my shoulders than my old pack. The suspension system was also great, making this a more comfortable backpack. It's almost 4 pounds lighter than my previous pack as well. I 've only used it 5 days, so ca n't really comment on the long- term durability. I 've had rotator cuff surgery on both shoulders over the past 2 1/2 years so my shoulders appreciated the new pack as well. Very pleased so far.

[ I LOVE this back. I backpacked through deep mud and heavy rain. The included rain cover was great for hiking and laying the bag down in the muddy vestibule. It feels like you are carrying half the weight when it is on and it can be adjusted to whatever your carrying preference is. I had and easily accessible spot for everything. I compared it to many other bags before settling on it. No other bag could beat the comfort, which is really important for a person with back pain.

[ This pack meets almost all my expectations and hopes! I love the suspension system the most. My pack feels like a hug! I appreciate the choice of removing the “ brain ” to save weight. The hip belt is comfortable. My only issue is with the shoulder straps. Over many hours on the trail, I notice that the straps do not sit completely comfortably around the front of my shoulders. That said, this is still my favorite pack out there!

I love osprey products and unfortunately found that most of their products do not fit XS torsos. However. The EJA is the exception. It fits through the shoulders and leaves plenty of room for tightening the hip belt. It ’s like wearing a hug. I did 3 10+mile days with this pack( 48l) and it was just the right size for my and my dog ’s needs. The ONLY complaint I have is that the shoulder padding could use reinforcements. I found the material shredding my shirt and leaving friction burns on my collarbones after day 2. I ended up shoving my extra sun shirt under the straps to widen the coverage on my shoulders. I could probably wear thicker shirts for winter trips, but summertime screams for tank tops and breathable materials that just didn ’ t do enough for comfort on that long of a trip. I will be using this pack again, but definitely looking into mods for the shoulder strap padding

[ I purchased this after having a bad experience with a different pack of a different brand. I am 5 ’ 5 ” and weigh about 116 pounds. I am a bit short waisted too and I thought the pack fit my frame perfectly. No weird rubbing on my lower back after a 31 mile backpacking trip. Lots of space and convenient pockets. [ Got it in blue. It's a really good looking shade of blue, and the pack itself it well constructed with a good number of features. Personally I do n't like the Osprey trekking pole loop design and I would rather have loops on the outside of the packs for carrying poles when I do n't use them. I 'd also prefer mesh pouch rather than the zip down the middle. These are n't big deals though because I knew of them when I bought the pack, so that advice goes to anyone looking at this pack. Research the features before you pull the trigger.

I 've gotten to take it out both XC skiing and on some winter hikes and it's the perfect size for an extra layer, snacks, first aid kit, and any other gear you might need on the trail. I love the magnet strip on the water bladder that nicely holds the bladder straw in space when not using it, and easy to drink out of while on the trail. The pockets are well thought out and easily accessible. I do wish the side water bottle pockets were a little larger to fit my nalgene, but definitely not a dealbreaker since it has the integrated bladder.

I originally bought this pack to walk the Camino de Santiago France, 500 miles. But, it was too tall to use as a carry on bag on the airline. I did train with it and walked a lot of miles through mountains, etc.. Very comfortable and well designed. Everything functions well.

If you ’ re going out for a day or two, any old backpack will pretty much do. But if you ’ re going out for several days, carrying some serious supplies, are gon na be doing some real travel, this pack was the best for my money. It made a huge difference in my trip this year vs. years prior. If you ’ re hiking Everest or something, there ’s probably better packs out there, but this is worth every bit of the “ couple hundred dollars ” range.

[ The new updated Osprey Rook 65 Performs outstanding. It caries the load very well. While I used it on a winter day hike with only 25 lbs in it I feel it will comfortably carry about 35- 40 lbs. The new Rook series packs 50 and 65 liter are well worth the price they retail for. If you are a well seasoned hiker or a beginner you ca n't go wrong with the Osprey Rook. I imagine the Women's Renn will preform as well.

[ It's light enough for me to use for small loads and big enough for me to carry a few days worth of stuff as well. Osprey quality so the only precaution I take while it's getting moved out of my hands is fasten all the clips and tuck excess strap material. I appreciate the integrated rain cover more than I thought I would. I already do recommend the pack to buddies and I would buy it again.

First time Osprey customer and I purchased this based on size, looks and comfort. I used this pack on an overnight hike up a strenuous 6km up hill, through waist deep snow in places. It carried the 40- 50lbs well, the hip strap with the wire takes a lot of the weight off the shoulders. It has lots of adjustability and many pockets. I like the fact that you can unzip the front and access items in the bottom without having to unpack everything. Two side pockets that fit larger sized water bottles( Nalgene 1L) The SM/Med fits my 5'10 medium sized frame well. Osprey has gained a lifelong customer

I tried SO many packs. I have chronic neck and SI joint pain and so many packs gave me pain. This one doesn ’ t. It carries the weight so well. I know It ’s not even close to UL, but it ’s worth it. I have less pain and can carry heavier weight with this pack than I could otherwise. Highly recommend.
