This backpack is very big and sturdy and it can definitely hold a lot of whatever you need. I like that is has additional smaller pockets on the handles and straps to keep small things like wallets, cash, or cards dry and separate from the rest of the items you 're holding. the arm and waist straps are seemingly strong and easy to adjust to proper fit, and they hold the pack in place very securely. It's also nice looking and the easy to remove/attach waterproof cover is an additional plus.

It has buckles that can keep the backpack more compact, or unclipped, can expand to the full size. Has many pockets and comes with a rain shield in a bottom pocket to cover the whole backpack in the rain. The chest and waist clips to secure the backpack are comfortable too. I got this backpack to prepare for my 3 month trip in the Caribbean and it ’s has been so helpful to say the least. I have an overpacking problem but all of the different compartments and pockets made it so I could fit everything I needed. The support on the backside of it helps so much with my back pain and doesn ’ t make me feel exhausted at the end of a busy travel day. Furthermore, the top bit comes off as a smaller backpack which was perfect for day trips. The only thing i would change would be the smaller buckles that attach the front pocket to the bag, they were a little weak. However, I don ’ t have any worry they will come undone when I check it at the airport. Overall, this bag has been a HUGE help!! It definitely has made my traveling much easier.

This is a great backpack for the price. I am giving it 5 stars because it's everything you would want and need in a pack. The middle zipper opening is an amazing feature that allows you to get into your items without having to pull everything out from the top like a conventional pack. One downside are the hip straps. I feel they could be slightly larger for the size of pack, I had some discomfort but nothing terribly bad, likely had more to do with me being out of shape as well. I recommended this to a buddy and he has one and uses it quite often like myself.

This 45 L pathway 2 backpack is likely my favorite in a lot of ways. The waist strap is great with good cushioning, preferable imo to the current sytle of thin straps. The chest strap is nice too, adjustable height. The layout of pockets is pretty much spot on on this bag, I could n't ask for a better design. Even compared to more expensive brands. Super happy with this and have purchased a second. Will continue to look at high sierra in the future.

My only complaints are two minor things. First, the bottom zipper where the sleeping bag goes can get stuck easily on the zipper guard/overhang. I ’ ve taken my Gregory Women ’s Jade 24 LT Backpack on two training hikes so far as I prepare for my upcoming trip to Havasu Falls, and it ’s been exactly what I needed. The organization is one of the biggest highlights. The front pocket is perfect for storing food and snacks so I don ’ t have to dig through the main compartment during breaks. Inside the main compartment, I can comfortably fit clothes, toiletries, and a water bladder without everything feeling cramped. I also love the hip belt pockets — they ’ re ideal for quick- access essentials like lip balm, sunscreen, etc… while hiking. The only con is that my phone doesn ’ t fit. I chose the bright yellow color, and I ’ m glad I did because it ’s highly visible and easy to spot. Overall, this pack feels practical, well- designed, and great for day hikes and trip preparation. I ’ m excited to keep using it on my Havasu Falls adventure.

I love how tiny this packs up- I take it on every trip. The fact that it's waterproof means I can take it on river trips or Italian boardwalks and never worry about my belongings surviving rainstorms or splashes. My only complaint is that it's just one giant open pocket, but the cinch straps on the front make it easy to decrease the size of the pack when carrying smaller loads.

The Ultra- Sil Dry Day Pack is uber lightweight for a dry bag/ backpack combo. It packs up into its own small 3 '' carry bag so it's great and small to keep in a purse or laptop bag for availability on the go. The drypack carries a lot and feels sturdy on your bag. It does n't bounce around even when half full. When full, you still hardly notice it's on your back. We used it for long hikes and to keep my camera dry in the case of a rain shower. It worked well! At the top of the pack is a buckle that allows you to roll down the top of the pack and buckle it, thus keeping moisture out. This particular bag is slightly harder to pack into its own carry bag overall, unlike the Ultra- Sil Daypack. The top buckle is harder to repack into the carry bag. I found myself packing it 75% of the way in and letting the carabiner and buckle hang outside of the carry bag. Not ideal but liveable for such a lightweight, capable dry bag. Outside of the drypack are stretchable tie- downs that can hold a jacket or other items outside of the bag. These are good for jacket but I 'd be careful with heavier items that could slip out.

It can be tricky to put back into the bag but memorize the way it came and it normally goes back in. Overall it is a well though out design.

[ Got it in blue. It's a really good looking shade of blue, and the pack itself it well constructed with a good number of features. Personally I do n't like the Osprey trekking pole loop design and I would rather have loops on the outside of the packs for carrying poles when I do n't use them. I 'd also prefer mesh pouch rather than the zip down the middle. These are n't big deals though because I knew of them when I bought the pack, so that advice goes to anyone looking at this pack. Research the features before you pull the trigger.

[ I was looking for a carry- on backpack and I researched a lot of options before choosing this one. I love that the suspension is very comfortable for walking a mile plus from a bus stop or train station( I have only used it on one trip so far but had to walk a mile from the train station to my hotel and this was fine) but it also zips away( which I did when I left the bag at that hotel because it was too early to check in). Good stuff. I look forward to traveling more with this bag later this summer.

This is my first day pack with internal frame. It makes it very comfortable to wear, balancing the weight down onto my hips( even unbelted and even wearing it on one shoulder) and the frame with mesh back keeps my back cooler even in 93 degree humid weather. The pockets are n't ideal. The top front pocket is very small( and if you put a heavy phone there it is unbalanced). The internal( water or laptop) pocket is deep- so anything small put in there is lost to posterity( beware). The water bottle pockets on the side fit a smaller water bottle easily but tougher with anything larger. I used it as a carry on( personal item) and no complaints from the flight attendants about how it fit under the seat in front of me, though the top did stick out a little and I found it to be a bit in the way of stretching my lets. It fit a ton of stuff- I had an umbrella and rain jacket, wallet, cosmetic size bag with electronic cables and earbuds, cosmetic bag with actual cosmetics, book, magazine, two journals, an airport shopping bag( small), and small cosmetic bag with meds in there. There is a helpful clip to attach your neck pillow! It also has a rain cover in a pouch at the bottom that was very useful in a downpour, if a little hard to extract and put in place on the fly.

Completed the Everest Base Camp Trek a few weeks ago. Out of 8 people in our group there were 5 of us wearing Osprey packs. I had the Scarab 30 and loved it. We hiked in sun and rain, hot and cold, through wood and over rock fields. This pack was on my back every day every step of the way. The bladder was full with an extra bottle of water on the side at the waist belt and the bag was full with essentials for weather swap outs and everything i needed to get from A to B and survive without my big duffel. It never chafed my shoulders or waist, felt great on my back and did n't sweat me up by allowing air to flow around it. It was exactly the right choice. The design of the bladder makes it very easy to fill and shove back in its home. the only thing i would change or add would be a cover over the drinking port. We were dropping our packs in a lot of places, on trails in Tea houses, coffee houses and different temples, everywhere and the drinking port always ended up on the ground. Would of been nice to have some sort of cover.

Have n't used it for said trip yet, but have used it on local hikes to get a good feel for it and it checks all my boxes. It's uncomplicated( just one main compartment with some exterior storage) and I love the padded hipbelt. Also like the fact that there's compatibility for a water bladder. The side pockets stretch enough to accommodate the large nalgene, and there's a small zipper compartment at top for keys, wallet, etc.

[ I 'd been using my old pack for 20 years and just bought the Osprey Atmos 65. I just came back from a five day trip in the Beartooths( Montana) and I was glad to have the new pack. It definitely put the weight on my hips and was much easier on my shoulders than my old pack. The suspension system was also great, making this a more comfortable backpack. It's almost 4 pounds lighter than my previous pack as well. I 've only used it 5 days, so ca n't really comment on the long- term durability. I love osprey products and unfortunately found that most of their products do not fit XS torsos. However. The EJA is the exception. It fits through the shoulders and leaves plenty of room for tightening the hip belt. It ’s like wearing a hug. I did 3 10+mile days with this pack( 48l) and it was just the right size for my and my dog ’s needs. The ONLY complaint I have is that the shoulder padding could use reinforcements. I found the material shredding my shirt and leaving friction burns on my collarbones after day 2. I ended up shoving my extra sun shirt under the straps to widen the coverage on my shoulders. I could probably wear thicker shirts for winter trips, but summertime screams for tank tops and breathable materials that just didn ’ t do enough for comfort on that long of a trip. I will be using this pack again, but definitely looking into mods for the shoulder strap padding

[ I like everything about it so far. It's been on a few wet, muddy adventures and it cleans up well. It has suited my needs well. The only issue for me is that the lunch cooler bag I already had is a tight fit so I 'm going to have to replace it. I am a happy customer.

I originally bought this pack to walk the Camino de Santiago France, 500 miles. But, it was too tall to use as a carry on bag on the airline. I did train with it and walked a lot of miles through mountains, etc.. Very comfortable and well designed. Everything functions well.

I ’ ve taken this backpack to two different 30 day trips. And I have been through every single situation, terrain( minus snow), 10+ flights( a few made made check in bag) camped, hiked, walked through beaches, visited hostels. Hours in airports and this backpack is A beast. I stuff the heck out of this bag. It packs like a 50L. The top most pocket is so big. Can fit a toiletry bag and more. Still looks new, quality is superb. Passport fits perfectly in hip pockets and snacks and earbud case. Very light and comfortable. My bag was roughly 25- 40 pounds at all times. Perfect for long trips( 10+ days)

Worked well last year on the Camino Frances over 41 days. Easy to carry and organize over several weeks. Nothing got wet, but I had mostly light rain. No rips or tears. I carried about 20 lbs, including water. I bought the pack in 2022 and used it from April to June in France and Spain. Great pack.

[ I bought this backpack as a gift for my husband, who is a multi- day hiker. I am not a hiker myself, so I was a little nervous about the purchase, but Osprey made it easy take the chance. And he loves it! Its very well ventilated, light weight, and has great access for things you need to reach for regularly. The hip straps are molded in a `` hugging '' position, so it makes the load feel more securely positioned over his hips and takes pressure off his lower back. And I love the color, he looks great in this shade of green. We are very happy with the purchase!

[ Great size for a variety of adventures. Super well built, as you ’ d expect from Osprey. Very comfortable, and the air flow is outstanding. You might consider the 65L if you ’ re an overpacker, but I think the 50L is great to help keep weight down.

[ The only problem I 've encountered was getting the hip belt right. I 'm a skinny guy with bony hips so it took a bit to get the hip belt right. But the pack is super customizable so I eventually figured out the setup. I got this bag to downsize/upgrade from my old 70L(?) pack. Its been perfect for 4 days of backpacking or quick car camping as well. I was initially worried about having less pockets than my old pack, but that turned out to be a non issue. Great bag!

[ This is one of the most critical pieces of gear from my 2023 Appalachian Trail thru- hike. Before I had picked any of my other gear, I knew my pack would be an Osprey. It did n't take much research to settle on the Atmos 50. This thing is a beast and could handle anything I threw at it or in it during my hike. The best feature is the one everybody already knows well: the airspace and ergonomic curvature that perfectly forms to your back. Furthermore, this distributes weight very efficiently, allowing your hips to bear more of the burden and relieve your shoulders. Other features I love include the waist pouches where I stored quick access items like my multi- tool and hand sanitizer, the included rain fly for quick rain protection, and the angular water bottle holders on each side where I had quick and convenient access to my one liter Smartwater bottles. I even made regular use of the two pockets in the brain portion. The interior dimensions are sufficient to fit a bear vault of the largest size turned sideways. There are straps on the bottom end of the pack that frequently held my tent, though you could also extend the top straps for the brain and store your tent under there too. The shoulder straps are thick and comfortable. I was able to attach a phone pouch on one and regularly attached my umbrella to the other. The materials are rugged. Despite all the use and abuse, scraping on trees and rocks, repetitive motion abrasion, weather exposure, and slinging around, the pack held up well without failure for 2, 000 miles. There are probably adjustments I could have made to reduce weight, as this comes in at 4. 2 lb. This while most thru- hiking packs in the ultralight category are less than half of that. With Osprey you 're getting two extra pounds of comfort, in a sense. Alternatively, they do have the Exos 58 that weighs less. Also, regarding sizing, I think osprey could improve by separating them out into four: S, M, L, and XL. Other lesser known UL brands do this, so I would think osprey could handle it. This is my only real `` complaint ''. All around, Osprey is, in my book, the best backpack maker in existence.

[ The atmos ag 50/65 is THE BEST backpacking pack out there hands down. I personally use the 50 L and it is the perfect size for 1- 3 night trips. It is extremely comfortable with around 30lbs of gear. I love the sleeping bag pocket on the bottom of the pack, absolute necessity and only a feature on the atmos AG NOT the atmos LT. The removable lid is also a welcome feature when you ’ re trying to go lightweight.

This pack is the perfect trail companion! I 've gotten to take it out both XC skiing and on some winter hikes and it's the perfect size for an extra layer, snacks, first aid kit, and any other gear you might need on the trail. I love the magnet strip on the water bladder that nicely holds the bladder straw in space when not using it, and easy to drink out of while on the trail. The pockets are well thought out and easily accessible. I do wish the side water bottle pockets were a little larger to fit my nalgene, but definitely not a dealbreaker since it has the integrated bladder.

As a smaller sized gal, I 've struggled with daypacks feeling too big and bulky. The 18L was my goldilocks and is such a great size for a casual hike or wandering around town! There are not a lot of pockets, but I actually prefer a simple pack. My favorite part of the pack is the chest and hip straps that make the bag easily adjustable.

[ So far I 'm loving this backpack! I bought this pack because it's the ideal size for everyday use and short technical hiking trips. The variety of pockets are perfect for storing just about anything you want to carry and the trekking poles storage was real selling point. Even my phone fits perfectly in the convenient storage pouch on the front shoulder straps which other brands did n't even come close! I tried so many different bags from various brands and found this to be the most comfortable and a great value for the price. Like any other product I 've used from TNF it's well made and I look forward to many years of use.
