For more experienced runners, you begin to notice that longer lengths shorts become obtrusive and somewhat restrictive. I found myself typically running in an old pair of 5 ” PT shorts that I got issues from the Navy. I thought 5 ” was sufficient. Then I tried a pair of the 3 ” breakaways and my goodness, what a difference. These 3 ” breakaways make you feel faster, stronger, and they look stylish. [ These shorts are now a permanent fixture in my training wardrobe because they are light and moisture wicking without riding up. The lining doesnt bunch or stick to the shorts themselves and while the pockets are small, the back pocket is a nice addition. Small pockets mean less bouncing and hitting my legs so overall that ’s a plus.

Fits as expected. Pockets hold gels and snacks for long runs. Zip butt pocket fits large phone. Not excessive flop when carrying gels and phone. Fun color.

[ Impressed with these shorts. They ’ re lightweight and super comfy. The included inner brief liner is convenient, but I generally wear sports trunks while running anyways, to avoid chafing. Took a bit to get used to the different design for the pockets, but the back pocket for a phone is super convenient! Love running in these shorts. They ’ re great!

[ So far, really impressed with Nike ACG! Their line has some very well- designed and functional pieces for all kinds of outdoorsy activities. I ordered these for my brother. Some initial impressions:- They really weren ’ t kidding about the pockets! So many of them( hidden, zipped, small, large, front, back, you name it!). I ’ m not share how secure some pockets are, but in general, very convenient.- The material is very lightweight but sturdy. There ’s a mesh inner layer underneath as well, which looks very breathable and comfy.- The shorts are super adjustable! I accidentally got a large for my brother, but we were able to make it work because of the elastic waist and drawstrings.- The shirts have some loops meant for hiking poles( so cool?!). I bet you could also add a carabiner or something.- I really liked the neutral color scheme. The top of the shorts is gray and has an interesting plaid print.- They are a little pricier than what I ’ m used to, but given the unique features, I think this might be worth it for an avid hiker or if they ’ re on sale. It ’s too chilly to wear these out now, but I ’ m sure they ’ ll be perfect for indoor use or for hikes in warmer weather!

I had the previous version of these shorts which were already great. These are a definite improvement. So many pockets which are now more accessible and the material is lighter than the previous version. They are probably a bit too expensive so an especially good buy when on sale

Initially, I was skeptical about the length, as it ’s not something I ’ d typically go for, but the design completely won me over. I love the clever pocket that hides the tie strings—it ’s such a thoughtful detail. The zippers are perfect for storing small essentials like my ID and chapstick. The fabric is light, breathable, and great for temperature control during my runs. What impressed me the most was how flexible the shorts were; they moved with me every step of the way, enhancing my running experience. The only thing I ’ d change is opting for a darker shade, as the light gray showed sweat marks a bit more than I would ’ ve liked.

[ I really like the feel of the shorts. When wearing these shorts to play basketball, I loved how they are very lightweight. The fabric provided me with a breathable and moisture- wicking feel that was very comfortable. The shorts were a bit snug when I first put them on but when playing basketball, they were very flexible. The waistband was flexible on my body and didn ’ t dig in my thighs while running. The style of the shorts provided me with ample amounts of space to place my keys and my phone. I also like the inner- lined of the shorts that provide me with support. The amount of space to store things was one of my favorite parts of these shorts, including the loops to latch things onto them. One thing I would change about these shorts would be the fitting of the shorts once I first put them on. The shorts are comfortable but for someone with thicker thighs, the internal lining could cut into the thigh. I would get a size bigger just for my thighs.

Love these. Like the big zip pocket and also back pouches for gels and gloves, etc. Very comfortable over leggings and on their own. They are the most expensive pair of shorts- but so far I can not better them for want I need. I 'm training for marathons and these will carry all I need and more.

I received the shorts and they were `` as advertised ''. The fit was exactly as described. I almost hesitated to purchase them based on a review I read. It indicated the pockets failed when the reviewer put his phone in the pocket. No such issue on my part and that includes the protective case that covers my phone. It was snug and has no movement in the shorts while I run which means I can run comfortably without strapping the phone to my arm or leave it behind.

Usually go for 2 in 1 shorts but always find the base layer element rides up and I end up chaffing. These are a great length, perfect fit and solved my chaffing. Only improvement would be to add a zip pocket on the back for keys or more gels

Ran my second marathon in these. Perfect. Did n't even know they were there—except when I needed to grab my gels from the side pockets. Tested out with a 17 mile long run before the race. Both times no issues with chaffing. Might be a little warm on a hot day, but perfect for mid 50s- 60s. One side pocket seem popped the first time I took them off, but that was fixed up with a little extra stitching from the sewing machine.
