You can wear in in the 50 ’s unzipped without getting too hot, and I ’ ve worn it in mid 30 ’s drizzle comfortably. Any cooler than 30 degrees and you ’ d probably want to throw on a fleece underneath. The Sherpa is a very nice touch, and I love the hood. This is a great waterproof, wind blocking rain coat. I have already worn it quite a few times. Strong Velcro too. Pros: I ’ m 5 ’ 125- 130 lb. It is not too long on me. Which is a problem when you are short. Sits just below the hips. Velcro on the sleeves cuffs is a plus because the arms are a little long& it keeps the wind out. Ordered a medium& can still wear a light weight sweater under it. Cons: Would be nice if it had a two way zipper for getting in& out of car& an inside pocket.

The poly insulation is just thick enough without being bulky, and plenty warm. I run hot, so this is great for me. I live in a wet climate, so water resistance is important. When I received this, the first test was to run water over my sleeve in the sink. The water ran right off. Recently had a scrap with a rose branch and the tough shoulder material was unaffected. [ Very happy with this jacket after four days of skiing in variable conditions. Here are the key attributes: 1. Warmth- it's pretty warm; not the warmest imaginable jacket but I can easily get away with a thin base layer in 30 degree conditions. When the temp plummeted to zero I wore a couple heavier base layers and was still comfortable. I love the ample coverage over your chin and mouth, which provides great wind protection on top of your balaclava. 2. Coverage- Jacket does a great job sealing in the elements with hardy and easy- to- use velcro straps at the wrists, a powder skirt, and a functional hood that fits around a size L helmet without constraining my neck. 3. Pockets galore! And they are big. Only a couple slight issues:- water- proof zippers were a bit hard to open or close the first time I wore the jacket, which was zero- degree weather. I did n't notice the issue later on when the weather warmed up.- the cuffs do n't mesh too well with my gauntlet- style mitts, especially if I 'm layered up a lot underneath. Basically both the jacket and mitts seems to want to be on the outside.

[ This jacket is warm but not super puffy which I like. The length is perfect for keeping your butt warm but not long enough to limit your stride. The extended cuffs with thumb holes keep cold air out. Pockets are nice and deep with zippers. I will say that the XS is much more flattering, but my arms feel restricted when moving around, and the Small feels much better, but looks loose. I still went with the Small.

I got this for an upcoming trip to Ireland. I am 5' 1 '' and a size 25 waist but I got a size S so I can still wear sweaters underneath. It's so cute and exactly what I was looking for! So far I 've worn it during heavy rain while walking my dog and I stayed completely dry. I like the little flap on the hood so rain does n't get in your face as easily. I like the adjustable waist and hood. I would 've preferred buttons or some other way to secure the front flap as opposed to the velcro but it is n't that big of a deal to me. It feels well made and is warm without making me hot. It does look like a heavier coat because of the insolation but it's pretty light.
