Bought this to use as an exercise mat for when I workout at my apartment or local rec center. It does its job very well, and the cushioning is surprisingly effective despite being only 5mm thick. The mat also does a good job at gripping the floor.

I recommend the mat because it is high quality and very comfortable. This makes up for the cons. I sweat and it does NOT handle this well. It becomes slippery. It also makes suction noises after rising from a lying down pose. I wonder if others in the class think the noise sounds like one of our natural body functions.

I love this mat. So grippy and supportive. As someone who is fairly bony I ’ ve had a lot of issues finding a mat I like that I can spend time on my knees or other bony joints. This mat allowed me to get through an entire practice with no pain, even when placed directly on my hardwood floors. It ’s cushy yet very supportive. My only complaint is that the material attracts EVERYTHING. After my practice I can see every hair, piece of lint, dust and everywhere my dry winter skin touched the mat. But hey it ’s worth wiping off every time anyway, just never have seen what gets left behind on the mat every time.

It ’s more expensive than your average mat, but it ’s the one that has performed the best for me. It ’s tacky and holds up to heavier use( i. e. hot yogas and/or bikram). It is higher maintenance than your cheaper,$ 10 mats, but those mats also don ’ t last very long and contribute extra to the landfill. This is the best yoga mat I have ever owned! It is very grippy in my vinyasa class and I always feel secure and confident on my mat during heated classes and doing balance work. So I did n't actually buy this for a yoga mat I bought this for my gym bag and my camping supplies. Most microfiber towels range between 10 and$ 80 depending on the size that you are looking for and it is harder and harder to find a decent microfiber towel that dries quickly for bigger dudes. I do ultralight camping kayaking and things like that plus I go to the gym every other day. Having towels that dry in minutes instead of being soaking wet in my gym bag is exactly the kind of thing I need in my life. This was more expensive than I would like but with this single towel I can get all of my hair and my entire body dry and as long as I do n't ball it up and shove it into the bottom of my bag if I just hang it off of the locker while I 'm getting dressed it is mostly dry by the time I am ready to leave the gym. Also this is only the fourth one I have ever bought and I bought it to replace one that got torn up while camping, and I have had them since 2012. More expensive than I would have liked to have paid but I will more than get its use by the time that I have to replace it.

So, I decided I needed a new yoga mat because the one I had was too thick and therefore not easy to carry around. I saw this kit and I thought it was a great price for everything that it came with( but to be honest, I bought the kit for the yoga mat print that I wanted because I already have a strap and the blocks). What a great product! I really do n't understand why people complain that the mat is too slippery. There were times in class, in balance poses that required me to take a foot from the mat that it was actually `` challenging '' to make the mat unstick from my foot, seriously! If I could suggest something, it would be to have two blocks as part of the kit instead of just one considering that many beginner poses that require inversions or balancing might need two blocks instead of just one. But aside from that, I wish I knew about the kit before I purchased my other yoga stuff.
