If you get the fit right, they do n't pull your socks down when you walk. Very good for walking unlink the tradition tall boots. The boots are great! Handled spring time in Colorado so raining, ice, sleet and then snow all in one day. I mucked horse stalls and had very warm feet while doing that chore. I was outside for 2 hours and my feet and calves didn ’ t get cold. I was able to walk uphill on ice and not slip. They are comfortable and require little “ break in ”. Great purchase.

OMG I CAN NOT say enough about these boots.... I will be ordering them in all 3 colors. I had yet to find a hiking boot that didnt cause me foot pain, blisters, or hot spots.... until now. These fit my feet perfectly. The toe box is typically where i struggle with hiking boots- blisters and pain of the great toe and medial ball of foot. Even while breaking these in I did not experience either of these issues.
