I wanted something stylish and warm to get around town with. These Bogs nicely fit the bill. I usually wear a hiking style boot which are functional for walking the dog, especially on trails but the Bogs look great and I was thrilled to find them. I usually wear size 5. 5 but as a bonus, the size 6 fit really well and securely by pairing a lighter sock with a medium thickness sock. I initially was drawn to the green color, but ended up purchasing them in black because they look really great on. The uppers are textured differently and looks classy. The zipper down the inside of the boot allows them to go on and off in a cinch. I am in my late 60's and love them!

Thanks SOREL for supplying me with work shoes! This is my fourth pair of Sorel boots. I have worn them for years. These shoes get beat up and worn out. I have gotten rid of one pair, a suede pair, because after years of being in the elements they were not looking very professional anymore- but the shoe was still holding up minus the, understandably, worn down tread on the ball of the foot. The Emelie can be slipped on and off! Totally love this feature in a bootie. I ’ m still breaking them in but the foot shape that Sorel uses fits my “ pizza ” feet well( thinner mid foot and slightly wider toe splay). I sized 1/2 down for the Emelie because the last pair of boots I bought broke in so well that they are a tad floppy now. They were too tight so I got size 7 1/2 and they feel much better but I am breaking them in before a winter trip to Japan where we will be doing a lot of walking. The boots are a simple style which I love and will keep my feet warm. Snow pants fit over the boots nicely. Alas, the sizing is off. The toe box is very narrow. I have an average weight foot and generally wear medium width( average) shoes and boots comfortably with mid weight socks. I purchased size 9. 5 in this boot which is my regular size for boots. Not only was the toe box much too narrow, but my toes were pushed against the toe of the boot.

I ’ ve worn these almost every day since getting them. They definitely stretch out a bit so I do wish I had gotten a 7 instead of an 8 but they are still super comfortable.( For reference I wear an 8 in Vans, 7. 5 in Nike Blazers). The height is perfect and I like that the upper part of the toe is a bit structured as I feel like they will last longer this way and provide a bit of stability. My friend has the non- platform version and loves them as well.

These boots seem well made despite the much lower price tag to Ugg brand. The wool blend of the lining is only 20% wool/ 80% other fibers but feels more plush and soft than similar Ugg boots which claims to have a higher wool content. The insole also offers more support and the outsole feels a bit sturdier as well. Currently wearing both pairs purchased concurrently and so far would prefer the Bearpaw.

Love Ariat boots' style& quality! I had owned for many years paddock, zip front boots for years that I wore in stables with cement floors& wore for riding English saddle w/ half- chaps. So when I wanted a nice pair of casual waterproof winter walking boots in the Chelsea style, I was thrilled to see that Ariat made them! Note: I first purchased reg width( wide, my width, was n't avail at the time) in size 8- 1/2 the boot itself fit perfect but the tops were too narrow above the ankle& rubbed my leg. I exchanged for wide width( avail after Christmas!) size 9( as 8- 1/2 were n't avail), I so wanted these boots. The top part above ankle does n't rub( yay) but the boot is way big for my foot. I bought super thick wool socks and manage but still too big on my feet, they slide as I walk. An 8- 1/2, wide- width would 've been perfect for me but I do n't believe they return 2x's. I wear them but can not walk fast in them and I 'm a NYer, oxymoronic. Highly recommend Ariat's Wexford Chelsea waterproof boots regardless! Super boots.

I have worn Sorel Chelsea boots for several years and have loved them. When my last pair needed to be replaced, I decided to give Ariat a try. I am extremely happy with these boots and will likely not go back to Sorel. They were comfortable out of the box with no break in period- this was shocking to me as someone with heel issues that are usually a problem with new boots.
