I work outdoors and walk tens of thousands of steps every day in every possible type of weather. I 've tried boots from several other brands/stores, and finally, after hearing me repeatedly complain about said failed footwear, my brother recommended Merrell. I 've only been wearing them for a few weeks, and while my feet have been delightfully dry( yes, they 're 100% waterproof even in standing water), I 'm wary about whether or not they will last as another brand or two also managed to keep themselves together for a few short months before disintegrating miserably and proving themselves not worth my money. So, while I 'm cautiously optimistic that my Merrells will outlast their competitors, I can confidently say that these are unequivocally the most lightweight, comfy and waterproof boot I have tried. I 've been trying to find good 'intermediate' boots for snowshoeing for over a year. I bought several pairs and returned them all. These are exactly what I was looking for. They are waterproof, warm, and have stiff enough uppers for cinching down snowshoe bindings. They also have great tread and decent edging ability on hard, steep snow when not using snowshoes. [ Just got in the mail today. They are really comfortable. I sized up a half a size and they fit perfect with a bit of room for thinker socks. I haven ’ t wore them outside yet but i feel they will keep my feet warm with how warm my feet got while wearing them for the bit of time I had them on. My only concern is the heal part. As a few other reviews said the heel part rubs a tiny bit and I feel it might either make my heel raw or give me a blister. Other than that I love them and can ’ t wait for the snow to really try them out!

This shoe requires no breaking in. I actually forgot I was wear hiking boots as they ’ re as comfy as sneakers! I generally hate hiking shoes due to their weight and bulk, but definitely don ’ t have that problem with the sypes. The ankle support on this shoe is lower than your typical mid, but it actually works better for me.

The toe box is spacious enough to accommodate my weird feet, and the inserts and good enough that I do n't have to replace them with orthotic- wear type insoles. The color fades quickly, but who cares? I have a sort of weird gait, so I wear down the outside of the heel sooner than I would like, but that happens with all my shoes. I do n't think it's a durability fault, because most of the sole retains its tread.

Returned and re- ordered in size 10 which was so huge my toes ended half way to end of toe cap. I have been waiting for RED WING to remake women's boots from the heritage collection for many years. I thought I would buy the Harriets and be done with it, but my local store did n't carry them, so I tried on the 6 '' mocs just for kicks. I fell in love. I was n't even considering purchasing the lace- up work boot. I work in the motion picture industry and I 'm on my feet many of my 12 hour work day. I have had these boots for over a month and I think this is the wisest shoe purchase I have ever made. The lead actress on our show bought the Iron Ranger boot the same week that I had bought my red wings. This boot was a little stiff at first in the toe, and I 've always considered my feet a bit wide. They are wearing in nicely and I am glad I did n't try to go up a size to accommodate. I am a true 7. 5. Definitely worth the higher price point. These boots surprisingly go with much of my wardrobe.

The boots are very comfortable after wearing them over a couple weeks. I knew this would be the case based on my other RedWing work boots. I ended up with a size 8 shoe even though I usually wear a size 7 because of the insole that the salesperson recommended. My feet were very tight for a little while until the shoes were broken in. I love the look of the boots for wearing around the office because I hate wearing high heels. The only down side is they squeak very loud whenever I walk on a smooth hard surface, such as tile. Other than that, I recommend investing in these boots.

OMG I CAN NOT say enough about these boots.... I will be ordering them in all 3 colors. I had yet to find a hiking boot that didnt cause me foot pain, blisters, or hot spots.... until now. These fit my feet perfectly. The toe box is typically where i struggle with hiking boots- blisters and pain of the great toe and medial ball of foot. Even while breaking these in I did not experience either of these issues. I have tried SO many other brands without finding the right fit.... i resorted to hiking Montana's Mountains in luna sandals because i could not find a hiking shoe/boot that didnt cause foot pain. The sole is very lightweight. I do n't regularly need wide shoes, but shoes with a narrow toe box do not fit me well- and these have plenty of room! I can wear them with regular or wool socks.
