It is slower than a cobra bag because the spring is at the bottom, so if you want a fast bag do n't get this one. I filled the base with water and it is about 40 lbs., light enough to move but still stays in place. I do n't hit this bag that hard because that's not what it's for. If I really smack it, the base will rock. Not for heavy hitting. But it would be a good addition to your gym if you want to have different bags for different purposes.

After a failed attempt to buy this product from a martial arts discount store online, I purchased this from Dick ’s. The price and speed of delivery was excellent. I was also impressed with the financial options for purchase. The item comes in two boxes to help with cost of shipping and size of the shipping container. Everything was carefully packed and protected. The only downside of the whole process was with the delivery company. Instead of placing it on my porch they left it down by driveway where it could have easily been stolen. Had I not been waiting at home for the delivery I it could have been stolen.
