I have the patina green in medium size. I go on day hikes at least twice weekly and have this shirt keeps me as comfortable as possible even in 30° Celsius weather. This shirt stays dry as I sweat during my hike. If the weather starts to cool it is easy to put a fleece layer over this one. Lastly, I do n't put this in the dryer after washing as it can become completely dry in an less than an hour in my house where the A/C temperature is set to 20° Celsius. I love it! I am really specific about sun shirts because I live and work on boats and wear a sun shirt most days. Full disclosure: I have tried the Crater Lake and Sunshadow before this and really did not like them. The Crater Lake is 1) kind of soft and does n't breath as well as this one and 2) had sloppy sewing so the sleeve hem unravelled after a couple months of wear. The Sunshadow was low stretch and super restricting to wear and the fabric stained really easily. This* Sunblocker* is amazing. The fabric is super quick drying but not scratchy, the sewing is really neat, and the fabric is stretchy and not restrictive. I sized up from S to M and am glad I did. I personally love the crop. I 'm so glad I did n't order these online, I opted to try on my normal size at a local retailer and they were crazy tight, like early 2000s skinny jeans. I then tried on 2 sizes up from my regular waist size and they fit nicely with a belt. If you work out and have thighs and glutes that are semi- built order a size or two up in the waist for mobility. As far as quality goes, I like the thickness and rigidity of the material, definitely a nice resistant fabric.

My last pair had the zipper to make shorts, which I hardly ever used and was less comfortable due to the zipper. I ’ ve put a ton of wear and tear on these pants with backpacking, hiking, rock climbing, and general travel. For being as breathable and light as these are, they hold up to abrasions pretty well. I ’ ve had tons of branches, rocks, and trees slide on these without any major damage. The integrated shoelace/string belt on the interior of the waist is a great little compliment to the external belt loops, no extra bulk with a little extra security. One small negative I have for these are the elastic cinches at the cuffs. They ’ ve held up fine so far, but I ’ m always worried about losing one of the little clips that go on them. Just make sure you loosen them before taking the pants off and double check that the 2 pieces are still there.

Quite happy with this version of the Astroman! Still the same great sun protection and durability but the material seems lighter/faster drying somehow. Not sure how they managed that without sacrificing durability but so far it's held up beautifully! I 'm a sweaty hiker and it's pretty amazing how little sweat this shows and how fast it dries. The ONLY thing I would change about this: please move the pocket to the chest or somewhere more useful. It's on the right hip and goes backwards which is strange and not natural at all, I really dislike it. I 'd prefer it be on the chest( like the men's version) or even still on the hip but a zippered drop pocket( like the Freewheel Hoodie).

Great improvements from last year. I liked the trail sender shorts from last year and these improve on the previous version in several ways. First, the best thing about the previous version is the ultra lightweight ripstop fabric and how well it performs in hot weather- the only comparable pants I ’ ve found in weight are the Patagonia Terrebonne joggers, and these are somehow feel even cooler in hot( 90+ F) humid weather. The new 2024 version feels like it has the same fit, but improves on some annoyances from last year: 1. The waistband is slightly elastic, which is more comfortable from previous near 0 stretch 2. The pockets are deeper and the zip pocket has been moved from the front thigh to the side hip. This is a big improvement where your phone no longer barely fits in the pocket or runs up against your hipbone when sitting 3. The construction feels higher quality and more premium. Too early to tell on how durability will compare but definitely feels like it ’ ll perform better Very happy with all the changes made!
