I was thinking about getting XtraTuf boots for a long time but never had any reason to until I started needing a waterproof boot that wasn ’ t a full tall winter boot. I ’ m glad I got them. They aren ’ t breathable( as I expected) due to the waterproofing of the boot, but the fact that they are short boots helps them breathe a little more than a tall boot. They are very comfortable and I have even wore them for short hikes because I decided not to change my shoes. They have quickly became my everyday winter shoe/boot. I love the purple color, it is so fun, but when mud splashed on them it stays visible until you wash it off. The one time I did scrub them off they did clean up relatively nicely, but if you want an easier maintenance boot, I would get a darker color.

These are great boots! I have been wearing Xtratufs for the past 4- 5 years( both deck and legacy). My last pair of deck boots lasted me three years before cracking on the crease point near the balls of my feet. I put them through everything. A lot of forestry work. The only issue I have is comfort. My current job requires standing on concrete for up to 6 hours a day. My feet start to hurt after a few hours. I definitely recommend buying inserts if you can. I wear these at least 3- 4 times a week, they 're like slippers for me. I will definitely be coming back for another pair when these wear out. Also, can the women's mossy mint green color please come back??

These will be great for the winter, too, as they have some insulation- all I ’ ll need is a good pair of socks!! They are definitely coming to Alaska with me this August!! [ I 've been looking for an alternative to my Xtratuffs and came across these. The comfort on the midsole is what I was really looking forward too. Long days on my feet on a 10+ hour workday means I need all the comfort I can get and so far these shoes have met my expectations. So far the outer water protection layer is holding up. The only downside I 've found so far is the opening to the shoe is narrow and I have to wear long socks or pants that come down to protect my shins from all the rubbing and hitting from walking.

My boyfriend picked them up and was jealous of how light they felt for wading boots! Slipped in some spots but somewhat unavoidable due to algae buildup on the rocks. Kept me afloat and no sore feet! The only issue I had was a slight rubbing on my left ankle but I am bow legged so no fault of the boots. Overall great boot and would buy again.

These appear to be solid wading boots and I haven ’ t put them to the test just yet, but I ’ m happy with the purchase. I wear a size 8 shoe angle got these in 9 to fit into my waders with neoprene- booties, and the fit is right on the money.

The boots are terrific. Lightweight yet rugged. And finally laces that only need a tiny tug to snug up the laces. For future reference, I do wish there were a few more places for studs in each boot. Sill a fabulous bot.

I needed a pair of non- felt- bottom wading boots for a New Zealand trip and the first pair I ordered were too large. The replacements came quickly, but without enough time to break them in before the trip. Not a problem at all – I put my flyweights on brand new with a pair of neoprene socks and was perfectly comfortable from the get- go, hiking miles through rocky riverbeds, crossing rivers all day long, wet- wading in total comfort. A fantastic product.

I bought these for wet wading. With most wading boots, I really struggle to find something that ’s comfortable for the kinds of miles I hike to a fishing spot, then the duration of my fishing, too. Others either don ’ t offer any support, are too clunky, or too heavy. These have finally solved all my problems!!!! They fit so well and feel like a good pair of hiking boots. The vibram soles are also a game changer. My favorite wading boots to date! For wet wading, I ordered my typical boot size and they fit well with wading socks.
