Excellent for winter to cut the wind and retain heat. Had multiple deer come within 30 yds and jacket noise did not alert them. Used as a top layer with layering( and heated vest, socks, and gloves all on lowest setting) during a 12( F) degree morning, never got cold and didn ’ t feel the wind. It does not have pockets, which helps with retaining heat and one less thing to leak down the road, but I use a small pack to carry in. I do suggest breaking it in a bit. [ I got these in size M with the 6 inch inseam and they fit perfectly, i am 5 ’ 11 and 180lbs. Originally ordered size L with 8 inch inseam and those were baggy on me. Very comfortable and i love the back zipper pocket. Only thing i didnt like was the netting on the inside which i just cut out with some scissors, now they are just like regular boardies. Some people like the netting, i dont. The color scheme is beautiful, it dont get no more American than that!
