These are a great slip- on shoe. No its not as easy due to the SOFT COMFORTABLE top of the heal, better than the harder lip on Sketchers. Yes, these shoes are leather and therefore repel most water, unlike the other brand. I have 2 pairs of that other brand and these are more comfortable, not just for walking but all day use.

The boot is fairly lightweight and rugged. Very simple boot without much to it. Fits true to size and is able to lace up securely. Not as stiff as most other wading boots. I like that it has the metal rivets along the eyelights for the laces. These boots appear as if they were made to last. I would recommend this boot to others. It was a tad bulkier than what it appears in the picture, but not excessively so. Fits well with a lot of good support. Easy to walk in for a long day of fishing.

I spend more time on foot than in the boat so I was after a boot that would be durable and sturdy across land as much as in the water. The M's Flyweight are performing well in this regard. The sole is remarkably `` sticky '' so far and inspires a lot of confidence in stability. I ca n't imagine what they 'd be like with cleats! They are a boot so they do have a bit of heft to them, but relative to other boots I have used these are pretty light.

If you get the fit right, they do n't pull your socks down when you walk. Very good for walking unlink the tradition tall boots. Most importantly, they are the only boots that you can sit for a couple of hours in the winter with and your feet do n't get cold. Any other boot I have ever tried, even the ones that claim- 30C, my feet always got cold really quickly, Even in only- 10C. [ I was looking for a sneaker that was breathable and would dry quickly for my trip to Costa Rica. These were perfect! Waterproof shoes are n't great for climates like Costa Rica's because they make your feet hot. Instead, finding a shoe like the PFG Castback TC that could get dirty, be washed in the sink/shower, and then dry quickly, fit the bill. I normally wear a 7. 5 or 8 wide, the 7. 5 fit me perfectly and the shoe did n't feel tight. The only thing I 'd like to see change is Columbia remove the `` blood n' guts '' label on the shoe physically. I understand that's a rating they give the shoe for the fact that those things can be cleaned off easily when fishing, but it's a bit weird to have actually ON the shoe itself. I 'd love to see some darker color options for this shoe for women's fit!

I really like these boots – as many others have stated, these run wider than the normal deck boots but are also more cushioned and stable because of the thicker outsole. I ’ ve had my pair for about two years, use them for yard chores, working outside, mud/snow, etc. I like the original deck boots for wearing on the boat since they ’ re lighter and less clunky.
