I got this hat because the brim is slightly smaller than my full on sun hat, so it ’s not as awkward to wear in the car or indoors, but still provides a good amount of sun protection. I got the goldenrod color, and it ’s a little darker in person, but still a cool color. It does seem to run a little small compared to my other hats of the same size, so if you ’ re in between sizes, probably best to size up. Oh, and the sunglasses holder is awesome! After having them in a couple of sun hats, I would never want to buy one without.

I bought this hat to replace a standard cap i was wearing with my raincoat to keep rain out of my face and it works like a dream! The old cap would start leaking and inevitably stop serving a purpose. But not this one! I have worn it on a couple hikes too! It is very light weight, adjustable, and most importantly it does what i needed it to! I use this for trail running in freezing temperatures, for yard work when it's pouring and also for travelling. It's windproof, lightweight, I like the blue color, so what's not to like? I can not use for temperatures below- 10C or below 15F where I use a warm wool hat, otherwise this is what I call a AWD hat( All Weather Design)

I bought this hat almost 10 years ago. It keeps all the rain away, keeps the water off the back of my neck and down into my clothing, the webbing inside keeps it so my head does n't get sweaty. This is a fantastic hat. My daughter borrowed my hat when she volunteered at a wildlife rescue and without in the pouring rain all the time cleaning the enclosures. I kept the rain out of her eyes and off her back. I ca n't say enough about this fantastic hat. I 'm a woman but find that men's hats usually fit a little better. This hat is quite large though. When I bought it it came in different sizes, I do n't see that often now. I wish I had gotten a little bit smaller size even with the adjustment on the back

This is the second hat in this style that I have purchased. The first one I ’ ve worn for hiking, water aerobics, walking and general use. The fit is adjustable and air vents help in hot tropical weather. The material is lightweight and easy to clean plus the cap bill is foldable which is great for travel. I read conflicting reviews on how waterproof it is. I plan to use for long hime in Portugal later this month. If I encounter torrential downpours, I will also have a waterproof hood to wear over top. Pros: the wicking sweatband works great, super lightweight, doesn ’ t add unnecessary heat, works great to block the sun, packs easily and small Cons: strap isn ’ t removable and with a tight fitting crown you can ’ t really tuck it inside, the sun flap is noisy in the wind so maybe a heavy strip of fabric down the middle to solve that?
