I go on birdwatching trips, and on a bird- watching Safari, we were advised to be sure the hat we wore would n't obstruct the view of others in the vehicle, so I chose this hat. It was perfect for the trip, and it turned out to provide outstanding protection from the sun in general. As a bonus, it was a bug deterrent! I 've worn the hat so often that it is starting to wear out, so I 've just ordered another one.

I have three of these hats. I keep one in the car and one in my backpack so I always have it on hand. I am a redhead and these do the best job of protecting my neck, scalp, and face of any hat I have owned. I also love the folding brim so it can go in a pocket. It stays on well in windy conditions if you snap it under your chin. I wish it came in more colors. Fun ones. I would love orange or teal or fuchsia.

Exactly what I needed! I have one hat that is similar to this, but I am wearing it in every single outdoor photo so I wanted another for variety. Then THIS hat came along that ’s reversible!! I love it! It is exactly what I was looking for, but better! I love that it has a removable strap. It ’s there when I need it, but on a calm weather day I can remove it. With my other hat I would tuck the strap up inside, which was a bit annoying. This is the perfect hat for me, and now that it is reversible I have a little more variety.

I bought this hat specifically to store in my car, because one never knows when you might have to stand out in the sun for an extended period of time. I especially love rhis design by Sunday Afternoons, because it's lightweight, washable and quickly air- dryable( comes out looking like new!), the brim is wide enough to shade most of your face, the chin strap keeps it from blowing off, and while walking through a store I can either `` store '' the hat on my back by lengthening the chin strap adjustment or roll it up and put it in my purse. I bought this hat almost 10 years ago. It keeps all the rain away, keeps the water off the back of my neck and down into my clothing, the webbing inside keeps it so my head does n't get sweaty. This is a fantastic hat. My daughter borrowed my hat when she volunteered at a wildlife rescue and without in the pouring rain all the time cleaning the enclosures. I kept the rain out of her eyes and off her back. I ca n't say enough about this fantastic hat. I 'm a woman but find that men's hats usually fit a little better. This hat is quite large though. When I bought it it came in different sizes, I do n't see that often now. I wish I had gotten a little bit smaller size even with the adjustment on the back

This is the second hat in this style that I have purchased. The first one I ’ ve worn for hiking, water aerobics, walking and general use. The fit is adjustable and air vents help in hot tropical weather. The material is lightweight and easy to clean plus the cap bill is foldable which is great for travel. This hat is great for very sunny conditions here in the south. I it not heavy or bulky like some wide brim hats. Cleans well and very easy after use. Wear them all the time when out in the sun for extended periods.

Since it doesn ’ t fold up, I put this terrific sun hat at the bottom of my suitcase, underneath the rest of my clothes. My husband also has this hat, and I got the same size, a large. So, that is a consideration when ordering. It really protects from the sun and isn ’ t too hot to wear in the heat.
