I tend to bring a jacket with me where ever I go so I love that it is packable. Other packable jackets I 've tried can feel cheap or flimsy, but what I like most about this jacket is that there is no compromise quality of the material- it still feels great when I wear it. Thoughtful touches with the zipper design to keep rain out, the bungie cords at the waist for a more secure fit, and vented back to help with breathability really bring functionality to this piece. If there was one thing I would change about this jacket is the cut; the length is a little too cropped and the sleeves a bit baggy for me personally, but I know that's the style and it can work great for others.

It's warm and comfy. Soft fleece, lots of zippers and pockets. Got the gray, the fleece is different from my other Denali's. The fleece is maybe softer than the usual Denali fleece. The fleece does shed, which I guess happens with the softer fleece. It is way more cropped than the older Denali as well. The name should say `` Cropped ''. I 'm considering sizing up to see if it will make any difference, but that means the sleeves will be much wider. I 'm not sure why the under arms are soooo huge maybe to decrease sweating hence the zippers under the arms. They should have two options for the Denali, one with a regular length and one cropped for women. This one is functional, but will rise up. I buy a new Denali every few years, this one is very different. The prices keep going up and the jackets and sweaters keep getting shorter.

This jacket is more than I could have hoped for. I operate a snowplow at a ski resort at night during storms clearing parking lots. When I get out of the tractor into what is frequently a howling blizzard, this keeps me warm, sealed and protected. It's loose enough that I can wear layers underneath if it's really cold and the whole thing is lined with nylon so there is no binding at all. The hood and zipper come up to just the right place on my chin to be functional without hindering. And when it's wet snow or rain, it runs right off and I stay dry. Amazingly comfortable. A great jacket. Lots of pockets. Wind and water proof. Great quality. It is a jacket, not a shell so maybe too heavy for some backpackers. I initially purchased a similar jacket from Northface in 1992. It was no longer water proof or resistant. Returned it to TNF and they replaced it with this. Amazing warranty.

This jacket is really comfortable. The overall quality is great. The material is soft and it is fairly warm on a brisk day. The exterior pockets have a lot of space and can hold a decent amount of items. The inside zipper pocket is a good size as well. The outside material is softer than expected which is nice. This is an excellent jacket to defend when it is rainy or windy. I am very pleased with this purchase and highly recommend it.

I got this for my four year old and it is a perfect puffer jacket. It's reversible, warm, and very comfortable. I love that it has pockets even though it's reversible. It is a perfect size as well- not too big, and not too small, which can be difficult to get with a kids size. I would definitely get this again as my son grows. It's a perfect winter jacket!

The material of the black one is slightly different, though, and is a little stiff and noisy( reason for 4, not 5 stars). I ’ m sure it will soften up with time. This jacket is so lightweight and comfortable! I was looking for something with UPF 50 for my walks in the warmer weather. Total bonus that it ’s packable. I throw it in my motorcycle backpack for day trips. Runs true to size. I bought a large, and I ’ m 5 ’ 9 ” 165lbs with long arms and broad shoulders. Arms are plenty long, which is rare. Also totally love the hood, nice and big, will easily fit over a baseball cap. I highly recommend this jacket!
