I was looking for a new net and since I mostly fish from a canoe was looking for a short handle net. This net exceeded my expectations. The extending handle is a great feature and I really like the mesh. I would not call the mesh tangle proof but definitely a very big improvement over the typical nylon mesh. And it floats!

I have had alot of landing nets over the years and this one is the best only yet. It is compact for storing and extendes out for when you need it. the key feature about his net is it floats and all of the accessories that you can get for it. It is a must have in any boat!!!!!!!!!!!

Rubber netting doesn ’ t allow hooks to get buried in it like nylon. It extends to get those fish all the way at the back of the boat. It floats, so even if it falls in the water, you can get it back. I would not try that with a fish in the net though. My only complaint was shipping... way too long with UPS ground. USPS priority would have likely been the same price and arrived 3- 4 days sooner.
