Good jacket. Felt a little baggy but that is what I prefer in a jacket as I wear them in cooler weather. This would be perfect for spring time so I ’ m looking forward to trying it out at that time of year.

This is absolutely the sharpest running jacket I own. It ’s the perfect fit! Made from lightweight, thin fabric with just the right amount of stretch in a sleek black. There are also strategically spaced silver reflective strips to make sure you ’ re seen on the road. The back is vented, and the back and packets have a mesh lining to keep the weight down and to keep you cool. I just can ’ t say enough good things about this jacket. Comparable to the Nike Windrunner jacket but at a fraction of the cost!

Tested out the new UL Premonition during my training in Salt Lake City and my recent Makalu expedition. Two of the best features of the jacket are its weight and packability — it is incredibly light and easy to pack into my backpack, especially when carrying a lot of gear and equipment up to higher camps. The jacket shielded me from rain, snow, and high winds at higher altitudes. It ’s highly mobile and easy to wear. Particularly love the internal long zippered pocket — perfect for storing important devices like iPhone or Garmin inReach.

[ Employee of mountainhardwear] This is my go- to lightweight waterproof shell. Basically like a feather in my backpack, there is no reason not to bring it. Alpine climbing, mountain biking, hustle footing. I live in the PNW and rain is almost guaranteed on every outing- got ta have this.

I bought this in the early summer bc I was in desperate need of a new rain jacket( my old one was literally crumbling apart!). This past weekend I assisted in the rescue 7 people who were capsized in a pontoon boat. I dove into the water with phone and all in the pocket of this jacket. After the scary event ended I took my phone out of my pocket and was shocked to still see the phone screen activated! The phone still needed about 7 hours to completely dry out and let me charge it but it ’s completely fine now. Obviously this jacket isn ’ t meant to be submerged but the saving the phone of it all felt worth mentioning. This jacket is also WARM and I don ’ t feel like raindrops are still making me cold through the jacket. It ’s also a superb wind breaker. I wore it on a 5k ft hike and the wind at the top was bearable in this jacket. It ’s expensive but it WORKS.

One of the best parts of this jacket is how well it holds up in gusty conditions. Even without layering heavily, I could feel noticeably less wind- chill than with my old softshell. Very happy with that. The hand pockets are secure, the sleeve pocket is handy for small stuff, and mesh pocket bags help with breathability. The drawcord hem and elastic cuffs let me tighten things up nicely when wind picks up.

The jacket is more lightweight than I imagined and seems quite thin. My main concern about that is I hope it does not rip easily. Time will tell. Also, I kind of wanted a hooded jacket for fall, but it is warmer than it seems like it would be. It looks great& I like the light blue color. I had been monitoring North Face jacket prices at Dick's( had gift cards), and so I bought this one for the price savings offer.

[ This Nike water repellent woven jacket is amazing! My daughter loves it and it ’s the jacket she chooses to wear almost every day. It is super lightweight and has a very soft feel to it. It has a folded hood around the collar that also creates an extra style point. It ’s perfect for those hot humid days where it starts to rain and she can be protected and comfortable. It folds up nice and small so it doesn ’ t require a lot of space to pack it just in case. The color is beautiful and after many washes, has not faded. We paired it with the woven shorts and she just feels so stylish with this outfit. Great addition to her wardrobe!

[ This jacket is amazing! My daughter wore it to Nordic ski one afternoon and she was perfectly comfortable. It blocked enough of the wind to keep her temperature just right, and it was water- repellent when she encountered some melting snow. This jacket is designed very well with a hood that fits nicely into a snug collar. It did the trick to keep the wind and water out as needed but it is still trim and stylish. I can see this jacket becoming a go- to for travel or anytime we need something with utility in a compact size. The fabric is very light and breathable, but did the trick to keep my daughter temperature controlled in wind and dry and melting snow. I love the utility and compact nature of the jacket. I got this as a fun hiking jacket and I love the color so much it goes with so many of my outfits. But I will say that as I walk around the house with it and while I 'm hiking the elastic loop that you use to cinch in the bottom gets caught in door handles and in trees often which is kind of annoying. The vents on the back are pretty neat. The elastic on the cuff looks pretty cheap because the fabric is easier so you can see how thick the elastic is. Also the zipper looks funny when you cinch it up because the bottom of the zipper does n't get cinched obviously. Usually for crops jackets you can just talk this part upside down but because this one has a ruched pattern talking that part upside down causes the ruched parts to be hidden. Anyways still too cute for me to care. I found with the style of jacket you really need a size down because Free people is making it super oversized

[ The jacket looks amazing. Fits perfect. I wore in the rain and was amazed how it repelled the water and stopped the chilly wind from penetrating to my body. [ I ’ ve been really enjoying this jacket. It ’s lightweight but still gives you a good amount of protection when the weather changes. The material does a nice job with light rain, and the hood is especially useful when you ’ re outside and don ’ t want to carry an umbrella. It ’s also comfortable enough to wear for longer periods and doesn ’ t feel bulky. I like the fit because there ’s enough room to move and layer a shirt or light sweater underneath. The design is simple and sporty, so it works well for walking, traveling, running errands, or casual everyday wear. It ’s become one of those jackets I can just grab when I ’ m not sure what the weather is going to be like. Pros:* Lightweight and comfortable* Good for changing weather* Repels light rain well* Comfortable range of movement* Versatile for casual and outdoor use* Good for travel and everyday wear Cons:

[ I love this thing! It ’s the ideal jacket for any guy that likes to be active but still look good. I ’ ve already worn this multiple times in the past week! It ’s good as a jacket by itself, but also great for layering! It fits me really well, but it ’s also loose at the same time which I ’ m a big fan of. [ I absolutely love the Nike Unlimited Men ’s Repel Versatile Jacket! It ’s lightweight, comfortable, and perfect for those days when you need a little extra protection from the weather without wearing a heavy jacket. Especially during this fall weather. The fit is great, and I really like how versatile it is for everyday wear, workouts, and being on the go. My favorite feature is that the jacket folds into its own bag, which makes it incredibly convenient to carry around when you don ’ t need to wear it. It ’s such a smart and practical design, especially for travel or unpredictable weather. Overall, this jacket exceeded my expectations. It looks great, feels great, and the versatility makes it something I can see myself wearing often.

OR Employee (Charlie, Product Team)
I am an OR employee and have used prototype versions of this jacket over the past couple years. The fabric works very well at giving both wind and light weather protection AND breathability and stretch. For running, mountain biking and as an `` up- hill jacket '' for backcountry ski touring it is amazing because it adds warmth in cool and cold temps, but breathes enough to prevent overheating so much better than traditional windshells. And it is ultralight and highly packable. Best of all worlds.( It does not replace a rain jacket though. It is water resistant, but far from waterproof.)
5
PNWhiker28
I bought this to try out in spring/summer in Washington and it is fantastic. It's super light weight but does a great job at blocking the wind and light rain. The fit is trim but not overly loose( I got a large with a 41 '' chest, 6', 188 lbs). It has quickly become my go to windbreaker and has replaced my Arc'teryx Squamish hoody. Definitely worth the buy!
5
Intermittent Grouch
This jacket is extremely comfortable. I 'm 5'6 '' with broad shoulders and a more or less triangular shape( not a body builder by any stretch, though). The medium fits me perfectly with room to layer. I expect it's long enough for taller people, too. It breaths well, provides good wind protection, and a small amount of protection from precipitation. The first time I tried running in this jacket, the hood flopped annoyingly into my field of view. I have since discovered that you can just fold the brim back once or twice to tighten up the fit. This may look a little wonky, but it works beautifully, and it's the only option, since there's no drawstring adjustment on the hood. It's very nice to have hand- warmer pockets, which many wind shells omit.
5
Rob W.
This jacket is a light, packable, and comfortable. Perfect for warm weather adventures that just need a little extra layer to block the wind. It packs down into a small pouch that can be tossed in your pack or beach bag for that `` ace in the hole '' when needed. Unlike many competing brands, this jacket is made of a very soft material and does not have the crinkle feeling like you are putting on a trash bag. Also unique to this jacket compared to it's competitor's is that it has front handwarmer pockets as well as a chest pocket( most packable options do not). The pockets in my opinion bring it from just being a quick grab backup plan to an intentionally worn and functional jacket. The chest pocket is a great spot to quickly store your cell phone and the front hand pockets give you that sensation like you just put on your favorite hoodie sweatshirt. I have worn it while hiking mountains during the summer in Maine to hanging out on the beach in Costa Rica on a windy day.

I needed a jacket that would perform in a variety of extreme environments when going inside was not an option. This jacket filled this role perfectly and has kept me dry while exploring the north Maine Woods more recently while hiking through the cloud rain forest in Costa Rica. On a cool rainy day, you can keep warm with all the vents closed and a puffy underneath. While in warmer humid weather, just open the massive vents on the sides and keep dry while still being able to `` breath '' and stop sweat from soaking you from the inside out. It is very weight efficient, easily packed, and well cut for the active user. The chest pocket is also a favorite feature of mine to safely store a cell phone while on the move yet keeping it easily accessible.
5
Odysseus
The new 3L Fabric is a huge improvement over the older Foray, it's robust, has just enough stretch, and overall is impressive. I was somewhat hesitant as they moved away from Gore but seeing it in person I am 100 percent a fan and it's better in every way. The only improvement, and OR please make this happen, is the branding. Make a Blacked out version without the contrasting logos, that would put this jacket as the best among the best.

[ The North Face Women's Arctic Triclimate Jacket is an excellent investment for anyone who wants to stay warm and dry in the coldest of weather. The outer shell is made from durable, waterproof material that keeps the elements at bay, while the inner layer is insulated with premium goose down for unparalleled warmth. One of the standout features of this jacket is its versatility. The Triclimate design means that it comes with a removable, insulated inner layer that can be worn on its own or zipped into the outer shell for added protection from the elements. This makes it an excellent choice for those who want a jacket that can adapt to changing weather conditions. In terms of style, the North Face Women's Arctic Triclimate Jacket is both practical and fashionable. The sleek, streamlined design is flattering and looks great with a variety of outfits, while the range of available colors means that there is an option to suit every taste. Overall, I would highly recommend the North Face Women's Arctic Triclimate Jacket to anyone who wants a high- quality, versatile, and stylish jacket that will keep them warm and dry in even the harshest of conditions. It's a great investment that is sure to provide years of reliable use and enjoyment.

I wasn ’ t sweating but it ’s definitely waterproof and kept me warm from the rain. So comfortable and definitely recommend! It ’s more expensive than I usually spend but it makes me feel better knowing I ’ m supporting an ethical/ sustainable business.

I am so happy I got this coat for the torrential rains that are happening in California right now. I usually wear a medium... sized up to a large and I am glad I did. The sleeves are long enough to hide my cold hands and I 'm able to wear layers underneath for warmth. It still looks good. My L covers my butt( 5'6 '', 34DD, short arms, 145 lbs.) Love the visor to shield my glasses. This will be comfy to wear in summer storms, too... the pit zips are handy, 2 outside large zippered pockets. The coat is not heavy but it is substantial.

I bought this for a trip into the rainforest, and wore it on a boat trip that took us underneath the Iguazu falls in Brazil where we got I can ’ t even count how many gallons of water dumped on us at once, and it not only kept me dry but my phone too in the pocket. If that ’s not a testament to how great this rain jacket is I don ’ t know what is! Also it packs down so small which is super convenient and makes it easy to take on trips where ounces count. Can ’ t recommend enough!

Very pleased with the color of the white jacket( it's a chalky white); own the black and magenta; sized up to accommodate bulkier sweaters underneath. Love Patagonia clothing and own several vests, jackets and pullovers that I have purchased on their website. Happy to know I can now purchase from Dick's.

Super light and packable. It kept me nice and dry when needed. I found it runs small if you intend to put it over layers, recommend size up over a puffer like nano puff.

This rain jacket is super impressive. When it comes to traveling, camping, hiking, or even exploring new cities, countries, etc. You ca n't beat the portability of this jacket. It is super thin and light making it easy to roll up and store into any type of bag weather it's a backpack, purse, or even large fanny pack. Even for being so light and thin, it easily stops water from getting through. I 've had zero issues with any type of moisture getting inside either due to prolonged periods of water exposure or leaks through any seals and stitching. I will say, because it's so thin, in colder weather, you would need a warmer layer underneath to act as insulation. That being said, you might need to get one size up than normal so it can fit over any layers you need. Also, if you are traveling through any thick brush or scraping up against rocks, you need to be careful about scraping or snagging any sharp/rough surfaces too hard to prevent any micro/macro tears in the material. Being so thin, it's not super durable, but it's not very easily torn either. Overall fantastic product and highly recommend

This is a super light, rain shedding jacket. Is it 100% water proof? No, but no rain jacket is. It ’s breathable, and with proper mid layer moister management, you can hike all day in the rain and be as dry as you would be in any other rain jacket. Pairs great with alpha direct layer underneath.

Bought this for cycling in the light rain. Nice fit and weight. I 'm 6' 3 '' and 200 lbs. and a large is a nice slim fit. Packs down small and is easy to stow. Not 100% waterproof, but kept me mostly dry on a 3 hour downpour bike ride. If you 're on the husky side, you might size up to an XL.

I have been on the hunt for a longer raincoat that covers my rear. I have a `` regular '' length Columbia raincoat that I love. This one is great and will be in heavy rotation. I got the Greenscape color. I am 5'5 '' and wear a women's 16. I got an XXL to be able to wear a sweatshirt or sweater under it. It is generously sized. I might have been able to go XL. I knocked a star off for 2 things that others have raised here. The hood is pretty much useless as it either falls in your eyes or flops backwards. Point 2 is that in my other Columbia rain jacket you can tighten the cuffs with a strap to stop water or wind from blowing up your sleeve. The Weekend Adventure has one snap that tightens the cuff by about an inch. That is not going to keep water or wind out.

I was impressed with this jacket from the moment I received it. Even before wearing it, I could see that the attention to detail and quality is top- notch. The stitching, the inside seams, and the quality of materials all look and feel great right off the bat. I was not disappointed when I took this on my first rainy hike. Water beaded up nicely on the outside of the shell and the pit zips came in very handy as I started heating up. I really like that the material has a somewhat soft feel to it- its not slick like other rain jackets I 've worn in the past. The material is much quieter when moving as well. I also got several complements on the jacket from some fellow hikers( I have the Cenote version- I love the color combo!) My one wish is that that the hood brim had a little more heft to it. A slightly stiffer brim would be nice during heavy rain or windy conditions. Overall I highly recommend this jacket. Its lightweight, waterproof, and a great value given the outstanding quality and overall performance.

Trailblazer
As an avid runner and cyclist, I 've put this jacket through the wringer, and I 'm thrilled to report that it truly lives up to its promise. Let me break down why this jacket is an absolute game- changer: Versatility: This jacket adapts seamlessly to any activity. Whether I 'm sprinting on the trails or cruising on my bike, it stretches with me, allowing unrestricted movement. No more feeling constricted during intense workouts! Weather Warrior: Rain? No problem. The waterproof feature keeps me bone- dry, even during heavy downpours. But here's the magic: it's also breathable! Say goodbye to that clammy feeling- I stay comfortable and fresh throughout my activities. Perfect Fit: As a taller guy( 6'3 ''), finding a jacket that fits well can be a challenge. But the size Large is spot- on. It hugs my frame without being too tight, and the length is just right. Effectively eliminating awkward adjustments mid- run! This jacket is my new go- to for all weather conditions. It's like having a trusty sidekick that never lets you down. If you 're serious about performance, this is the jacket for you!

I ended up returning and getting the S instead. Overall I like the fit, the style, it goes with everything, there's enough room to layer, and does n't get hot! Sometimes the layers want to go with the jacket, so it's not as graceful if you take it off in public. But that's a minor very complaint. The middle pouch pocket is shallower, so it's perfect for smaller items and you do have a big through- pocket like a hoodie too.

I live in New England, and I 'm traveling to `` old '' England later this year. Between our record rainfall back home and variable conditions across the pond, I needed a good raincoat. Cue* hours* of research, which landed me here. So far I 've worn this coat out in several storms for 10- 20min at a time( walking the dog) and after a quick shake off in the mudroom, it's completely dry. And so am I! Plus it's quiet, blocks wind, and the material has a nice matte finish. The colors are lovely, classy green shades that go with everything. Got a medium and there's room to layer a fairly bulky coat or sweatshirt underneath but it's not huge if I 'm just in a t- shirt. I 'm 5'6 '', athletic 150lbs, 37- 27- 38. I 'm literally excited to camp and hike in the rain this summer now that I 'll have this coat to protect me. Now I just want OR to make a matching one for the dog.

This jacket is my go to for fast and light approaches, summit pushes, rainy day runs, the ski resort or around town because of it's clean look. It seriously can handle any weather conditions and is super light so you hardly notice it in your pack or on your back. I love the backpack compatible zippers, but wish there was an extra internal chest pocket. 10/10 would recommend to a friend.

I used this coat as a great shell layer while climbing the Grand Teton and I would n't wish for anything else! It was perfect!
5
This shell has proven a perfect addition to time in the elements where protection is critical and weight is a factor. I have used this on a several volcano ski missions this past summer and spring. It packs light and provides the summit protection needed when wind is ripping and body temps are dropping. Marmot allotted a good amount of pockets without going overboard and the pit zips provide ventilation that allows you to tune your protection on the move without having to stop to layer up or down. When it comes to rain protection, it's hard to beat Gore. It also vents well for active pursuits.

[ Employee of mountainhardwear] I have been using multiple Kor products for a while and added this one to my closet recently. It has many uses but what I use it for is early morning hikes and rides. It adds just enough warmth over a base layer to reduce the bite of morning chill. The fabric is crazy stretchy and soft, and while I have n't been rough on this one, my insulated Kor Strata is a ski layer I have hammered all season with no issue. This thing is crazy packable too so it makes it easy to shove into a pocket or my lumbar pack.

There's a reason you see so many really favorable reviews of this jacket. It checks all the boxes. Packable, super light, blocks the wind, repels mist or light rain and looks great. Pull it out of your kit at a windy summit or the top of a pitch. If you are slim and athletic, it fits true to your usual size. I have a paunchy `` dad bod '', so I had to go up one size for midriff room. You wo n't have to, though. I also have the lined hoody version of this garment, and like it equally for belaying or just spectating at the base of the crag.

[ I 'm 5' 7 '' and about 170lbs. I bought a large to put multiple layers under for alpine use and the size was just about right. A little snug down around the hip area, but okay. I liked the jacket so much that I decided to buy a medium for `` around the town '' use, but the medium was so tight at the hips that it would n't drop all the way down. Had to return it. Fits much tighter than the Interstellar. Otherwise, great shell.

[ Fit is superb. Comfort and breathability is awesome. Never a drop of water incursion. However: on the coldest of days, the gustiest winds sneak through. Definitely a jacket for specific shoulder season weather: colder, semi- dry days. It's a warm jacket that sadly does n't have pit zips to let heat out when the hiking/climbing gets going. I had to fully unzip the front and leave it open. Would n't use it as a rain jacket. Could be used as a light snow jacket. I 've been using it as a springtime( and fall) belay jacket and it works great. If you get caught in a drizzle the repellancy works shedding water and wind. Love the soft, stretch fabric that does n't restrict moment and allows me to wear just a t- shirt underneath if need be. Big pockets all with good zippers and it packs into its own pocket. The hand cuffs are interesting and remind me of cycling jackets that are longer on top to keep water off the back your hands. It has stretch band cuff on the underside along wrist. So far i have n't had issue with them, but i worry the elastic will one day no longer be tight and the cuff could be baggy and useless. Maybe they should have stuck with classic Velcro straps to adjust cuff tightness-- only time will tell. Overall i like the jacket as my backup for when i do n't expect bad weather but need something just in case. A great jacket for walking around town too.

Really nice soft shell, super stretchy, the hood is particularly well designed. My main critiques are its fit is a little on the tight and smaller side compared to what i 'm used to from MH, and i wish it had a chest zipper, as I find that quite useful in jackets.

When selecting a breathable walking jacket, consider materials that promote airflow while providing protection from the elements. Look for features such as moisture-wicking fabrics that help keep you dry and comfortable during physical activity. Additionally, jackets with ventilation openings or mesh lining can enhance breathability, while lightweight designs ensure ease of movement. Adjustable elements like hoods and cuffs can also improve fit and comfort during your walks.
To determine the right size for a breathable walking jacket, start by measuring your chest, waist, and hips, as these are key areas for fit. Consult the sizing chart provided by the manufacturer, which typically correlates measurements to specific sizes. Consider the intended use of the jacket; if you plan to layer underneath, you may want to choose a size up for added comfort. Additionally, trying on different styles can help you find the best fit for your body type and walking needs.
Breathable walking jackets are typically made from lightweight, moisture-wicking materials that enhance comfort during physical activity. Common fabrics include polyester and nylon, which are often treated with water-resistant coatings to provide protection against light rain. Additionally, some jackets incorporate mesh panels or ventilation systems to improve airflow and regulate body temperature while walking. These materials work together to ensure that the jacket remains functional and comfortable in various weather conditions.

Additionally, the packable nature of some jackets makes them convenient for travel or layering in changing weather conditions.
When layering with a breathable walking jacket, consider the climate and your activity level. Lightweight, moisture-wicking base layers can help manage sweat and keep you comfortable. Additionally, mid-layers made from insulating materials can provide warmth without adding bulk. Ensure that your outer layer allows for easy movement and ventilation to maintain comfort during your walk.
To maintain the breathability of your walking jacket, it is important to follow proper care instructions. Regularly wash the jacket using a gentle detergent and avoid fabric softeners, as they can clog the fabric's pores. Allow the jacket to air dry instead of using a dryer, which can damage the materials. Additionally, store the jacket in a cool, dry place to prevent moisture buildup that could affect its performance.
