This boot the sizing has changed slightly they are smaller in the toe box. I went with a half size larger but I probably could have stayed with my regular size 10 and just broke them in. They are to me a light version on the quest boots that are much heavier and clunck than these. I 've bought a few different salomon hiking boots over the years and you ca n't go wrong if you are a day hiker with these they are agile and do n't slip dry or wet they get the job done and protect your feet in every situation. These are very comfortable. It does feel like you are walking on air. There is n't any harsh shock to the foot when moving in these shoes. The toe box on the men's shoe is better fitting than the women's shoe. This is narrower and fits me much better. Nothing rubs at the arch. I recommend these. The waterproof Gore- Tex is great to keep one's socks and feet totally dry. The only thing I do n't like is the looks of the trim they put on the Pegasus 41 around the toe box. Yet, it does n't affect the shoe itself.

I have gotten rid of one pair, a suede pair, because after years of being in the elements they were not looking very professional anymore- but the shoe was still holding up minus the, understandably, worn down tread on the ball of the foot. The Emelie can be slipped on and off! Totally love this feature in a bootie. I ’ m still breaking them in but the foot shape that Sorel uses fits my “ pizza ” feet well( thinner mid foot and slightly wider toe splay). I sized 1/2 down for the Emelie because the last pair of boots I bought broke in so well that they are a tad floppy now.
