Definitely buy up 1 size. These shorts are great but they definitely run small. I wear a Medium in shorts but these were so tight that they dug into my skin. I replaced them with a Large and they fit great. I bought the 5 '' in black and pink. The only thing that I do n't like about these shorts is the drawstring. They are so thin that it comes out of the wash tangled and twisted tight every time. It's annoying but not that big of a deal.

[ The DriFit DNA 6in shorts will function for both casual and performance. The mesh is a lot softer than I expected, and it feels great when sitting around and when running. I played basketball in these shorts and it fit great through the rear and thigh. Not too loose, but enough space to move. The length was above the knees for my 6 ’ 0 ” height, and my favorite part of the shorts was the zippered pocket. It does not get in the way when running and I ’ m glad it was there to hold my belongings after play. Overall I ’ d recommend these shorts to anyone looking for a do it all short.

[ I 'm a shorts guy, so let's get that out of the way first. It can be 30 outside, raining or snowing, and you 'll usually find me in shorts year round. It's essential I have several pairs laying around at all times so I can rotate frequently, but since I got these, I do n't feel I have the need to switch out of them as often as I probably should, they are super comfy, and can go with anything else I throw on to wear with them. The fit of these is great, I 'm generally between a M- L in most things depending on how they run, and these are right in the middle for me, which is perfect. If you 're a true large around a 34 waist and do n't like a snug fit, I 'd suggest maybe size up. They do n't shrink when you wash them which is nice as well. The materials are great, nice soft and comfy fit, and really appreciate the fact they have a liner and are n't a single layer of mesh like my Jordan brand DNA shorts( which are basically see- through). They are advertised as 6 '' shorts, but from my experience wearing a lot of running shorts as well, they do have a higher rise and longer outseam, so these are n't going to be hitting you mid thigh like most typical 6 '' shorts do, unless you pull them up to your belly button. For me, it's the perfect length, not at the knee, but a couple inches above. And unlike most above the knee basketball shorts, these are n't super wide at the opening make us guys with smaller legs look like we are swimming in short shorts, I 've had that issue in the past where they are very wide and it just does n't look right with above the knee shorts, but no issue here with these! The material is fantastic, it's not heavy, very soft to the touch, does n't have a cold/cool feeling like typical mesh, but it's got that drifit feel you are used to from Nike products, which I really enjoy. Moisture wicking, breathable, absolutely nothing to complain about with these! These are probably going to be my daily shorts for a while, unless Nike comes out with something better any time soon. I own a lot of different pairs of shorts, but honestly for the fit, comfort, and versatility of these, they are hands down my favorite right now. Either going outside and getting some exercise, sitting at home relaxing, or even running errands on the weekend, these are it for me.

It has the standard Nike shorts look, but to be honest, I love the simple design because it goes with everything. Durability on these shorts are made to last. You can do your errands or your most strenuous activity and you ’ ll get stuff done. Durability wise, I give this a 9/10. Overall I give these shorts a 9/10. It hits all the buckets I look for in shorts to wear especially for basketball. The simple design and how the shorts fall before knees is what I look for mainly. The lightweight and breathable material while help limiting the sweat helped me choose and recommend these shorts to anyone!

Outstanding update. I ’ ve had multiple pairs of prior versions( incl the ones with the impossible side pockets). The fit and materials are A- 1 this time. The waistband is dynamite and the new side pockets definitely borrow from the Patagonia Striders( that ’s a good thing IMO) and work well. My only concern is the sizing in terms of whether you ’ re a small, medium or XL, whatever. I ’ m 5 ’ 9 ”, 150, 30 ” waist and I need the XS? The smalls last year in the old version were falling off my waist? I ’ m a small in every brand under the sun but need an XS in this short. It ’s odd. I worry if I need another pair that they ’ ll be out of XS like they were last year when I burned out an old pair. Fantastic short that I will buy more of, just not understanding sizing.

I love Brooks clothing! The material is incredibly light and very silky feeling. The waistband is important, and this one is great! The fit is also great. I only had one problem which was a deal breaker for me. There are no pockets, just 2 pouch like places on each side. I was not comfortable running with anything I was not comfortable losing in these pouches. I also like regular pockets if I wear these to run errands and such.

The shorts might run a little small. I tend to wear the L pants but got the XL shorts and they work well for me. I like the internal liner, but still wear by boxer briefs with them. I really need to try them without the boxes and see how they work. The pockets are a good size, but anything in them will swing as you run or walk fast. the draw string come in handy to tie the shorts off and hold them up.

The faux fly and back pocket make these superrrr versatile. They do not flare out much at the thigh which I like. These fit true to size for me. Having a waistband you can cinch is clutch too. These handled leg day with ease- no restrictions! The woven fabric feels great to the touch and wicks moisture crazy fast. If you are looking for shorts you can wear to the gym, but also can somehow look good enough to rock a polo with- these are them. Very impressive!

[ Aside from being slightly snug( not enough to not wear), these are great for my casual runs. The shorts are just the right length to not get in the way, yet no rubbing or chaffing. The hidden zippered pockets are great for hiding money or an ID. They are n't the warmest if you are running on a chilly day, but they are n't letting me freeze either. They do later nice too so I can wear thin compression tights underneath without issue. The color is masculine too and matches most of my clothing. I 've really got no complaints comfort wise, so just know to size up a little bit.

[ I have about 25 miles in these shorts and I love them. They ’ re comfortable and light. I ’ m 5 ’ 8 ” and the 5 ” length is great for my body- type and preference. The pockets are useful and out of the way. There ’s one zippered pocked in the back, four elastic pockets that sit towards the back of my hips, and one internal pocket. The elastic pockets are great for quick grabs like gels. I ’ m usually a size 34 waist in my pants and the medium shorts are a great fit. They don ’ t sag or shift much at all when tied down. Overall these shorts feel minimal while still providing plenty of options to carry basics.

I have been running in a pair of Brooks shorts for close to a decade. As a long- distance runner, I need shorts that are going to go the distance! First, my favorite feature of these shorts is the numerous pockets along the comfortable waistband( including a zipper pocket). The smooth design of the elastic waistband is very comfortable even with things in the pockets. Second of all, the built- in liner compression type shorts are a good fit while not being too tight. Finally, I expect the material of these shorts are going to last me another decade of fitness!

[ I own two pairs of the Versatile shorts and like them a great deal. Think of these Session shorts as a “ lighter ” version of the Versatile. The material is a bit thinner, they ’ re a bit shorter, and generally, they ’ re pared down in a way that makes them less without being lesser. I 'd say the sizing is slightly smaller, though I 'd still call it true- to- size.

The DSG compression shorts are great, they fit well, move with your body whether on a run or bike ride. They fit true to the sizing chart and wash well. I can highly recommend them to anyone who has a interest in good compression shorts.

With the many types of sports underwear out there it ’s hard to find a tight snug fit that will keep things in place. I ’ m prone to hamstring pulls so I need the compression from shorts to keep muscles tight and warm. These definitely do the trick. Great style and breathability. It ’s got a camo style which is fine but mostly covered by shorts I would wear over them. Great fit and I ’ ll definitely get another pair since I workout a lot.
