I have the patina green in medium size. I go on day hikes at least twice weekly and have this shirt keeps me as comfortable as possible even in 30° Celsius weather. This shirt stays dry as I sweat during my hike. If the weather starts to cool it is easy to put a fleece layer over this one. Lastly, I do n't put this in the dryer after washing as it can become completely dry in an less than an hour in my house where the A/C temperature is set to 20° Celsius. Overall I really like it and I will get a second pair to use when I do the Salkantay Trail in the near future.

I love it! I am really specific about sun shirts because I live and work on boats and wear a sun shirt most days. Full disclosure: I have tried the Crater Lake and Sunshadow before this and really did not like them. The Crater Lake is 1) kind of soft and does n't breath as well as this one and 2) had sloppy sewing so the sleeve hem unravelled after a couple months of wear. The Sunshadow was low stretch and super restricting to wear and the fabric stained really easily. This* Sunblocker* is amazing. The fabric is super quick drying but not scratchy, the sewing is really neat, and the fabric is stretchy and not restrictive. I sized up from S to M and am glad I did. I personally love the crop. It still protects my whole back, even when I bend over, but is n't too long. Overall, I 'm really happy with it!

I wear one of these almost every day at work in the fall winter and spring. It is comfortable, warm, and breathable. It ’s light weight and very versatile. For me it fits true to size. The thumb loops are very helpful when layering with additional insulating layers and the zipper helps dump heat when you need to. I am a staunch supporter of Columbia Sportswear for the Tamiami and Super Tamiami Long Sleeve Shirts. I love how light they are. They are so light- I no longer wear cotton T Shirts in summer. It's a short sleeve shirt( roll uo loops) It's a functional fishing shirt- quick drying- lots of pockets. It's a great summer shirt because its sooo light and quick drying. It can go from a hike/ walk to market. It's an excellent traveling shirt- wrinkle resistant and quick drying. I have actually gone swimming and thrown the shirt on without towel drying and the shirt dries amazingly fast. And to those who think this shirt is too expensive- This shirt is like kevlar- indestructible. I have nearly 20 shirts( I had a weight loss and had to drop a size)- and not one has made it to the rag pile. The only casualty was a spark from the s'mores fire melted a hole. They still look great. I ca n't remember my first, but it's at least 8 years. Worth every penny.

They changed the colors! I have many of these shirts I use for birding. Often, I 'm in a hot, horrible, jungle environment and the dark green helped me blend into the forest. I bought this shirt in white, and it is crisp, clean, and lovely. I like the silky feel of it as well as the fresh look. The only reason I did not give it five stars is because it does not have the option for rolling/snapping up the sleeves, and the small inside pocket does not have a zipper or means for ensuring that it remains securely closed.

[ As other reviewers advised this does run small. I am always a size small in Columbia but purchased a medium and it fits like a small. Recommend sizing up. Otherwise great purchase for a versatile piece that I will use as a base layer in cooler weather and a sun shield/primary layer in the summer. Fabric is soft and more like a regular tee in look and feel than most summer PFG shirts. Still Omni- wick.

I purchased this hoodie for sun protection on a recent 9- day backpacking trip. I bought the light grey colour because I thought it could double as bug protection, since the mosquitoes were horrendous. I really liked how feather- light it was, it dried fast and the hood was great when the bugs were fierce. Furthermore, all the bug/blood/sweat stains cleaned up nicely after the trip and it looks good as new! As for durability and wind- proofness, I will bring it on my next two canoe trips this July and report back:)

Quite happy with this version of the Astroman! Still the same great sun protection and durability but the material seems lighter/faster drying somehow. Not sure how they managed that without sacrificing durability but so far it's held up beautifully! I 'm a sweaty hiker and it's pretty amazing how little sweat this shows and how fast it dries. This lil hoody is also extremely packable- have taken it on quite a few birding/hiking trips and long days bike- packing. I plan to take it to AZ this weekend for a friend's bday trip to really put it to the test( I 've been using it in Idaho thus far). Also- LOVE this pink color. I would buy anything and everything in this pink, so dang cute! I bought a Small and Medium and I 'm keeping the Medium- I 'm 5' 4 '' and about 140- 150lbs( 30 '' waist and 40 '' low hip, aka most of my weight is in my booty/thighs). The small fit fine, but I prefer a looser fit for layering and breathability:) And because this is a sun shirt, looser fit is best for the fabric to keep out sun rays, anyways. The ONLY thing I would change about this: please move the pocket to the chest or somewhere more useful. It's on the right hip and goes backwards which is strange and not natural at all, I really dislike it. I 'd prefer it be on the chest( like the men's version) or even still on the hip but a zippered drop pocket( like the Freewheel Hoodie).

I fell between sizes and sized up because it was described as somewhat slimmer fitting, but I had to exchange for the smaller size because there was plenty of room through the middle and enough in the hips( also does n't go low on the hips.
