I like the jacket for downhill( lift) skiing at Whistler/Blackcomb:- The hood covers the entire helmet and stays up. I like to ski with my hood up when it's a bit cold.- The big, wide collar to zips up to cover most of my face even when wearing a thick face covering.- It has appropriate insulation. You need extra layers underneath when it's cold but it should be quite wearable for spring skiing with just a shirt on underneath.- Pockets are where they should be and the right size. Some suggestions for improvement:- There is no place to attach a whistle which would be close to the mouth. The zipper pulls where I would normally attach a whistle are solid and not useful for that purpose. This is quite important when skiing a big mountain resort like Whistler/Blackcomb. There really needs to be a place to attach a whistle near the mouth. I may get a little loop sown in some place on the jacket.- The inside chest zipper pocket should be on the inside of the insulation rather than the outside. This would keep the phone and other electronics warmer.- It would be nice if the collar was just a bit higher, maybe by a centimeter or so. Not a big deal. Overall I am very happy with the jacket so far.

I 've owned a lot of jackets over the years. Helly Hansen, Eddie Bauer, Spyder, Khul, Mammut, etc. This is by far the warmest jacket I 've ever owned. Even at 30- 35 degrees( F) I sometimes find myself unzipping it as it is too much insulation. I 've worn it out to about 5 degrees with only a light sweater under it and was not even slightly cold. There are more technical jackets out there if you 're looking for backcountry skiing stuff but if you 're just looking for something to keep you warm around town, winter hiking, or sledding with your kids, you ca n't beat this. Also looks great and super comfortable.

This jacket was bought gor me as a gift about a month ago and I think I 've worn it every day since, through November into December, in a wet and Stormy Wales. The medium fits my 5'11 '' frame perfectly. Warmth is n't an issue. I 've worn the jacket with only a t shirt beneath, in windy, freezing temps, with no issue at all. Lots of handy pockets and a hood that works best with a hat worn beneath. Regarding rain. I 'm not going to wear the jacket for prolonged rain. This jacket is super high quality and is warm, waterproof and windproof. I ’ m 5 ’ 11 ”, 190lbs, athletic build. The Men ’s size medium fits perfect, with room for layers without being too small or too big. It is long below the waist so there is a double zipper to allow you to manuever into your car or a chair without pulling the jacket up to your waist. I removed the faux fur from my hood, it comes off easily with buttons. The fur just wasn ’ t my style. A few people complained about the double zipper, which is plastic( not metal), and is a YKK branded zipper. I ’ ve had no issues with the double zipper. Someone complained about the arm length. There are velcro cuffs so you can control how low you want the cuffs to go. No issues for me there. Bonus: there are two zippered hidden pockets, one on the inside of the main vertical zipper and one on the outside of the zipper. This outside pocket allows you to access items without unzipping the coat. Another bonus: there are two large pockets on the inside of the coat large enough to store ski googles. I happily store my winter scarf in there for when the temperature drops down and the wind picks up. Chest- level hand warmer pockets are comfortable and fantastic for walking or standing in the cold. I wore this coat for a trip in Seattle during the cold and rainy October season and it kept the wind and rain at bay, no wind or water got through. I ’ ve wearing this coat here in Orlando, FL for the cold winter months and have stayed quite warm and cozy! Keep in mind, this is the “ Nuuk Lite Insulated ” version so it ’s perfect for Seattle or Orlando. Fjallraven makes a warmer version called “ Nuuk Insulated ” which is probably more suited to arctic places like snowy parts of Canada or New England. I highly recommend!

LOVE this jacket! I 'm 6' 2 and bought XL for extra movement and layering when snowboarding. Pros: The synthetic fill is the best I 've ever felt, I honestly thought it was down fill. I love that it stays warm and holds its lofty puffiness when in wet snow conditions. My other Sitka down jacket loses its loft quickly in the arms and back when I start perspiring from a morning of hiking or snowboarding. But's it's so soft a cozy. I often just wear a t- shirt or thin base layer under it if I 'm just staring around a camp fire. It's very warm and the hand and chin backings are super soft. Cons: My only complaint is that it does n't have a well placed hood draw string for windy conditions. The single draw string on the hood is more a retention string for side to side movement of your head. And the outer fabric is very delicate, I know its gon na snag and tear on a tree branch one of these days.... I personally wish it was a little bit thicker like on my wife's Expedition down jacket.

Good winter and low temp jacket. Its longer and a tad baggy/active since its made for riding, so take your normal size and layer underneath for really cold days. It's super comfortable and will keep you warm and dry. Hood is definitely a little too Raph, it's made for riding with a helmet on, so its too big for casual wear but I knew that would be the case for any snowboard jacket so it does n't bother me.

Love this jacket. I was worried about the reports that it's `` short '' I 'm 5' 9 '' with a longer torso and short legs( 30- 32 inseam) and the jacket came to just below my belt line. It's definitely a jacket for car camping, walks around town, etc. This IS N'T a summit series jacket and is defiantly not built as a belay jacket which I think some get confused. This jacket has ended all desire to purchase anything else. Great quality and build. It ’s kept me warm and dry on chilly pow days and the vents keep me cool on the sunnier days. The oversized hood goes over my helmet and keeps me very cozy. Easily the best jacket I ’ ve invested in. It is a little big but that does allow me to layer comfortably while still maintaining mobility. I ’ d prefer this over a tighter fit and baggy is steezier anyway. These bibs were fantastic for my snowboarding trip in Breckenridge. These bibs were extra flexible and did n't make me feel as constrained as other bibs have. They fit well and were very comfortable for riding from first chair to last. We ended up having a pretty wide range of temperatures from 40 to- 10. The vents did a great job of keeping me cool on the warmer days, and I only had to add a single layer of thermal underwear( top and bottom) to be comfortable on the- 10 days!

Used for the first time yesterday in a downpour of wet snow and a little rain, dry as a bone at the end of the day. Great features to store your ski pass and everyday carry items( phone, keys, wallet).

Simply the best jacket. Super light weight, I never have to worry about sacrificing weight for comfort. I just throw it in my bag now and do n't even think about it. It washes quite well too, as I run it through the ringer at work and camping. The down has not had a problem after about 45 washes with wool balls on regular temps. It's not water proof, but for light rains I have not had to throw on a rain jacket and have not felt that it was damp after.

This is a nice jacket — super versatile. I use it for night walks around the neighborhood and camping trips to the desert. It keeps me warm even on really cold nights. My favorite feature, though, is how roomy it feels. It allows plenty of flexibility, even when I layer up. This is my second one, and this time, I went for the hooded version.

Keeps me warm down to about 40- 45 with a shirt underneath. Blocks wind great, so lightweight it's easy to throw in a multi day pack without thinking much.

Keeps me warm in the 30s easily with just a normal shirt and a sweater. With real layers I have been able to walk approx 30 minutes round trip in the low 20s and strong winds. It ’s very warm and also gives you that psychological warmth boost of a fat, cozy puffer. The length is just right if you need a big outermost layer but don ’ t want a full parka length. I am normally between S and M for most things and a S easily fits me even with a chunky sweater. The two internal mesh pockets are clutch.

This is the jacket of my dreams. MH stuff always fits me great which is nice, but with this fantastic looking and feeling down jacket you also get TWO chest pockets, TWO inside chest mesh pockets, and an adjustable hood strap that makes the hood fit perfecting. great jacket

Love this Parka. I wore in 15degF with a long sleeve and flannel underneath and I was warm. It ’s roomy enough to layer up but isn ’ t excessively long like every other parka I ’ ve tried on. Hand pockets are fleeced lined and there ’s some chest pockets and other hidden pockets. Would def buy again.
