They also have the four quick lace metal tabs for the laces which I think are a must. I 've bought two pairs in the last two years. Great boot but I upgrade the insole. This is my second pair and im a hands on GC in Utah. I work new construction and remodels and these boots are great. I like them better than Brunt and they last. My last pair was over 2 years although they were hammered. Just picked up another pair and fitted them with some custom insoles. Very happy with this boot and will probably pick up another pair in 2 years. The sole wears somewhat quick but thats what you get when it's a non- slip sole that doesnt track mud everywhere. It's a great boot for the price. Better than my double the price Red Wings!

I do purchase an insole from a local shoe store for my plantar fasciitis which I have to use in all my lace up shoes. I have not found another shoe that fils my foot as well as this one for work and would recommend it to anyone who does similar work. I run around a lot with my job and turn many blind corners. The wide fit is excellent. I even have enough space to spread my toes or wear toe spacers. Super comfortable, they feel pretty durable and they look nice, already got several compliments and I 've only had them for two weeks. I wish the laces were thicker and softer but it's not really a problem. The only place I feel a little discomfort is around the ankle but I assume as I break them in I wo n't notice the ankle cuff anymore. Very satisfied with this purchase and will be coming back to Carhartt for boots once I destroy these.

These are the most comfortable lightest most durable work boots I 've ever owned. I 've tried Red Wing, Timberland, Wolverine... these boots are the only ones that hold up to the daily beating that I give them. I love how durable they are and how easy they are to clean. I only have 2 small complaints, but being the best boots I 've ever owned... Carhartt will still get a 5 star review. 1. The laces need replaced after roughly 3- 6 months of use because they get shredded under the duress of tying and tightening your laces daily. 2. Being waterproof comes in handy often, especially when working outside. But it does mean that if you have sweaty feet, it keeps the sweat in too. Not quite as `` breathable '' as I would want. But like I said, I 've never found a boot to do a better job. So it is what it is.

This is a replacement for a previous pair. Best work boots I ever had. I have some foot problems so I need a good arch and support too. The previous pair is about a year old and no longer water proof. This pair is running slightly larger even though it's the same size. Regardless I 'm very happy with the comfort and quality of construction. These require no break- in period while many other work boots would take a while to feel comfortable. Highly recommended.

I ’ ve been wearing the Georgia Wedge over 15yrs now and prolly has become my one and only boot/shoe i wear with everything. Lol, went from Nike ’ s/Vans/Chucks to only Georgia wedge. I love them so much i have pairs for work and everyday wear. I ’ ve worked for the Water company where i live and not really being “ water proof ” i still wore them and they would hold up for 6 months or so. That ’s jumping on shovels, kicking stuff, underwater, asphalt and so forth… as well as the Natural gas field and seems to hold up better without constant water lol i ’ ve bought up to 6 pairs in a yr bcuz all the OT I was working, but i say all this to say i never had more compliments then this boot and i ’ ve worn every brand, the quality of leather is the best and i can walk in them all day. The boots fit me well( run a little big, but not a con) and the inner sole is almost heavenly. I work in a warehouse where i stand on concrete 8 hours a day. I normally add an extra insert for added support, but there really is no need for these boots. While mainly for work, i definitely want to get the most out of these boots, but i must say that these particular boots i have are not cut out for hiking. Not a con in the least bit, though a bit of a bummer in the long run. So after spending about 40 hours over a few days in these boots, i am very happy with my georgia boots.

I do have to purchase a new pair yearly do to the climate in Tucson AZ, in the summer gets really hot where the soles wear out really fast. I work in a steel warehouse for a ten hours a day and comfort is a must for me. I have been wearing these boots for the past five months and since day these boots have been the most comfortable boots ever. The first day I wore here boots for my full shift without problems and these boots felt like they had been worked in for months before. These boots have been through mud, snow, ice and I have had no problems with traction or warmth. I have had a 800+ pound hot rolled steel bar( scaled from the foundry and roughed outside covering) fall and give a glancing blow to my left heel and there wasn ’ t any marks on the heel of the boot. I work in a glass plant. In addition I do a great deal of mechanical work and outdoor activities. These boots have handled it all with no issues. Not the MOST comfortable, but it is a more old school boot. Soles hold up incredibly well considering I walk on broken glass every day. There isn ’ t a safety tow booth on the market that is more comfortable, good looking than this one. Yeah people love the moccasin toe, not I. I ’ m a round toe feller. These things are so comfortable. I almost took them to Europe on vacation as my only shoe because I can consistently walk over 12 hours a day on the job site. Note, you do have to break these in. Excellent cushioning and support, good tread, and the leather exterior withstands all of the wear, rear, and abuse my husband puts them through everyday.- 0. 5 stars because we can ’ t find the Ironclad in stores anymore, and while we ’ re happy to order them online, it would be nice to get them locally from time to time.
