After throwing out my last pair of Nike ’s, I decided on this pair for walking in. I was a bit apprehensive when I read the fit was a bit snug but swift delivery meant I didn ’ t have to worry as the fit is fine. I ’ ve only worn them for a few hours and they seem really comfortable. I ’ m a size UK 5. 5 with a high instep but always buy UK 6 and I have enough room in these trainers without them being too big. And I don ’ t normally go for black trainers but of all the colours available in my size, this colour way was the one I preferred. The black with white Nike Swoosh and sole make a nice contrast.

Fast. Currently running in Invincible 3s and Infinity Rn4s, I actually bought these just to have. As an older runner with knee arthritis, I need good cushion. I tried these out on a 6 mile treadmill run and wow- these shoes are quick!! There is great support and the sole is perfect no matter where your foot strikes.( I ’ m a mid- forefoot striker). And they are super light; they feel much lighter than my other pairs( above). Looks like I ’ ll be using these for speed work. Kudos again Nike!

I got these shoes in the neptune colorway and get lots of compliments when I wear them. They fit true to asics sizing. They are very comfortable to walk around in, not as good as real sneakers, but better than a lot of lifestyle ones. Like all asics, there's no arch support. The insole is n't removable, but I find a thin black superfeet support fits just fine without crowding. Adding the arch support on all my asics helps make them a lot easier on my feet.

I have had the ride 17 for several months now and I LOVE these shoes! I enjoyed my previous rides( 15) but I did have several small issues with them and the ride 17s have fixed all of these issues! The ride 15s always felt a little narrow on my foot and they were hard to get on…the 17s fit wider and my foot slips into them easily! I have actually considered going down half a size but I live in an area that gets very hot in summer so decided to stick with my size 7s to allow for swollen feet! The previous 15s had very short laces and I had trouble doing double knots for race day…the 17s have lovely long laces so no need now for double knots! There is now a loop on the back of the heel which really helps with getting the shoe on! And they are. very cushioned as well as being responsive! I have been able to do faster sprint workouts( strides) which is really helping with my confidence for improving my next half marathon time! I have a spring half I am preparing for as well as a fall marathon, and although I would love to move up to a plated shoe( such as the endorphin speed 4) my budget doesn ’ t allow for another purchase right now so I will stick with the 17s.

These were a replacement for another pair of ride17 that I had worn out. I spend most of my day on my feet on concrete so cushion is important. I also under- pronate and have plantar fasciitis so it is hard to find shoes that do n't make my feet ache. I tried a different style( triumph) at the recommendation from the shoe store but my feet screamed at me by the end of a few hours.
