Replacing a 25 year old fish finder. the price point of the HELIX 7 is perfect for what i need. having both summer and ice transducers, so i can use it year round. to spend 3- 4 times more just to get a `` big '' screen is simply not worth it. But, yes you should get DI and SI Mega. they will be extremely helpful to find the fish.

Also Humminbird offers a transducer trade- in program if you want a different style of transducer and yours is still new/non- installed which I thought was awesome!

After using mega live 2 for the past 2 months it is definitely an upgrade over mega live 1. First this I noticed was much better bait tracking at range. Everything is much more fluid and real time feeling. Impressed so far. The new color pallets are great as well.

Well, since the install, the weather has not been kind to us. So, haven ’ t had the opportunity to us it. However, this is a great companion to my 93SV mounted in the console. I have not connected the data cables together and not sure if I will, my type of fishing, a few times a week don ’ t need it. Plus with Active Captain if I need to share I ’ ll go that route.

I purchased this unit a few months ago. I find it very user friendly as well as easy to install. The features are easy to navigate through. The clarity on the sonars and imaging is very good. The only disappointment is that if Garmin went as far as putting GPS Seaton the unit then why not add mapping…. This would make this a perfect low cost unit for the average weekend fisherman/woman. I have removed this unit after 2 trips out and replaced it with the UHD Echo Map.

[ I had the Terrova previously and it was amazing, BUT, then I had the chance to run my buddys Ulterra one afternoon and I was hooked. But I had to one up him so I opted for the Quest brushless model. Absoultely amazing is all I can say. Its an Ulterra on steroids for lack of a better term. I have ran it for 3 days before charging and the power noticeably better. Mega down, mega side are a must have and amazing to say the least. I think I am a pretty decent fisherman, but now that I have added the equipment the guys always want jump in with me. Amazing amazing amazing if I could rate it 10 stars I would.

Recently bought the Echo ap uhd2 7 ” sv and have found it to be an exceptional purchase. It replaced a 4 ” Garmin and the screen size is fantastic upgrade. The best is I now have down vu, side vu, traditional and the gps mapping all in one unit. To top it off the touch screen is my favorite feature.
