Had the normal one full day break- in period. This is my third pair and I keep coming back for them. They are rugged and durable and last a little over a year when used roughly for hiking, trail running and slogging through the mud. I compete with these a lot because they keep the water out( unless I go in the streams) and they hold up really well. The soles start to get thinner after 1. 5 years but I have n't found any others that hold up any better and still stay together like these Moab 3's.

Have been wearing Targhee xx's for quite a few years. Obviously, they have worked great for me, and now my wife has a pair. I wear them year- around, on snow, ice, wet leaves, steep hillsides.... They are functionally waterproof- I wear low- profile `` walking shoes ''- not for serious stream crossing, but fine for tall wet crass ''. Only problem has been delamination and eventually leaking. [ These are n't boots that you can take out of the box and go for a backpacking hike, they will need broke in first. When I first put these boots on they felt great, I went for a 2 mile hike and my feet were hurting. It took me about 10 miles, 2 per day, to get to where they felt good, now I love them. These are my 4th pair of Keens, I have been wearing the Steel Toe Pittsburg for work and love them too. The wife was soo convinced that she bought a pair of low top Targhee Vent, she loves them also.

After a horrible experience with the migrating foam in the footbed of a previous leather- upper Merrell, this was a gamble... but so far it's been great. Incredible cushioning, great fit. A few unexplainable hard spots on the uppers noticeable only on steep side- hills. Now on to the desert sand.

These shoes are great as my daily workshoes on the dock or out landscaping. Great traction on multiple surfaces even if a little wet. Vibram tech on the sole keeps you going strong on the most rugged terrain. The leather material keeps your feet dry and adds durability to the shoe, but it does not provide breathability like other materials. I highly recommend these shoes for specific use, but if you plan to use them for extending hiking, I would choose a fabric material so you feet can breathe and not get overheated.

I really love my boots. It ’s now my 4th pair. I like how Dr. Martens can be dressed up or dressed down. I wear them to work giving a professional look, but then I can still rock them at happy hour with a dressed down look. If you never had a pair they are heavy. They weigh at least 4- 5 pounds.

This is the best fitting boot i have ever had in my 54 years of living. Seriously. The boot is actually water- proof too. Haven ’ t had these for long. But, if you grease them with the danner stuff right away, the break in is pretty fast. Very comfortable. I have narrow heels and wide toes. These fit me perfectly. We will see how long they last at my current job, but, my last pair of dinners lasted me 5 years doing what they were not meant for.
