Compared to the previous version of the Triumph, which I also loved, I find the T22 to be softer but not too soft, very stable, with a fun energetic ride. It has more room in the toebox which I appreciate- I did n't have an issue with the T20 on a daily basis, but came back from my first marathon with two black toenails, so that little bit more room is great and fits the shape of my foot well. My first run was in the rain and I found the grip to be great. The only downside is it may have lost some of the versatility of the T20/21, which also did well on moderate speed days, but T22 feels solidly made for daily training and long runs. Definitely think it will be a great cruiser and leg saver on longer efforts.

[ This is my second pair of Trail Pegasus, and I like it more than the first one:) The Pegasus are a staple for any running enthusiast, but I had n't worn a pair of trail shoes until recently, and I 'm sold. The sole has a lot more grip, which makes these shoes truly `` all- terrain '', both for trail runs but also for every day walks. On top of that, these shoes include Gore- Tex material, making them water resistant( no more excuses not to go for a run in light rain!). They are as comfy as their non- trail Pegasus counterparts, and they have a very similar fit. This color combination has quickly become a favorite for their versatility. Wow, these may be my favorite training shoes ever. I have worn standard Pegasus for years and always found they lacked a little cushioning. I have raced in Vaporflys but felt that they lacked stability. The Pegasus Premiums seems like the perfect blend of the two, with great springiness and cushioning but also with good stability. Not light, but not too heavy either. Size seems to be true for me, 12 as always. My only complaint is that the show is expensive for a training shoe, hopefully it holds up better than the Vaporflys at this price.

The bounce is incredible. The give is maybe a hair soft if you ’ re 210 lbs or above. I wouldn ’ t worry so much about stability. These are for running in a straight line, not for basketball. The shoes do squeak after a few wears. If you had to pick one, these are better than the Vomero premium for a couple of reasons: they ’ re more sleek, and the cushioning is more supportive and bouncy with energy return. Vomero Premium leaves you falling back on the heels. I ’ d buy another pair.

What I like the most about these is that I could walk miles in these right out of the box, no break in period necessary. If I had to change one thing, it would be the “ strap ” on the tongue of the shoe where the laces go. This is not necessarily an issue for me but I could see where others might find it difficult to tie and untie the shoes based on its location. I needed some hiking shoes to hike North Cascades National Park in Seattle. Never had hiking shoes before, but hated that they looked so clunky. I saw that trail running shoes work well for hikes as well and allow your feet to stay flexible. I saw these for sale and gave it a try. Wow. It genuinely provided so much support for hiking and light jogging. I hiked through brush, rocks, gravel, tree roots, grass, and other terrains. I did n't slip a single time and the shoes really cushioned each step. Safe to say, I would have been doomed with regular running shoes. After hiking a few days, the shoes still looked new! They were a bit dusty from the trail itself, though. Treads on the bottom looked new, did n't see any scratches or gouges, laces were not frayed. I got the Gore- Tex variant, so at the end of the hike, I walked into the shallow end of a lake and wiped them off, no water got in. I half- sized up. My regular shoe size is a 9, but I went 9. 5 because I wore thicker socks and appreciate the toe room during hiking as I do n't want my toes banging the front of the shoe. Feet also swell when hiking. All in all, I hiked around 20 miles on this trip as well as walking around city areas, so probably closer to 30 miles. I had no issues whatsoever and would recommend them. If Nike wants to sponsor me for this review, I 'm all ears because they 've won me over with these purposeful shoes.

These Vomero 18s are just so good. I walk/run 5+ miles daily. And even though I live near Nike Headquarters, Im always trying other brands.... But with this recent Nike design, Vomero, well, Im now on my 3rd pair. About the fit: not too high of a sole but lots of bounce, plus this shoes hold up really well. My feet are med/narrow, and I have the dreaded second long toe, which makes shoe fit even harder. Often a shoe is either not long enough or too wide... Though for years I stayed away from `` maximalist '' shoes, Saucony's take with the latest Hurricane has changed my mind in a big way. Incredibly supportive in all the right ways for my miserably flat and over pronated feet( even the subtle medial angle is perfectly designed)... All I wanted was a stable shoe, thick stack, that was responsive. I settled for the Clifton 10, but took a gamble and purchased these Hurricane 25s. As a bigger runner, 235lb, I was pleasantly surprised at the comfort of this shoe. What impressed me the most was the responsiveness of the midsole. First hard effort in these was an 11 mile trail race in the Adirondacks. Weight is superb and grip was more than adequate through a mix of singletrack, mud, roots and rock slick with humidity. I 'd last run this course in a pair of VJ Sparks and these were better in nearly every regard. Race went great. The fit is just a bit long and I did kick the toe a few times- if purchasing again I 'm 50- 50 staying with my size or going down a half. Only other change I 'd make is a millimeter or two more of foam- barely more, but these did feel a little bit harsh at low 5/min downhill miles. That said, they ARE race shoes. Great job Merrell.

After an initial 10 mile trail run, I took this bad boys out to Spartan Poconos outisde of Palmerton, PA. This was about 6. 5 miles with close to 3k ft of evelation gain, and some of the trails were extremely rocky. As long as the shoe laces were snug, they hugged my feet super well, even on the extremely steep downhills. They shed water like a champ, and honestly I do not see a single sign of wear. I was worried I would get a hole from all those rocks, but nothing. I 'll be taking them to an 18 mile trail in Washington state in two weeks and very much looking forward to it!

I had foot surgery at the beginning of the year and I was using the Max 2 ’s for running. When the Max 3 ’s came out I thought I ’ d give them a try. I am so pleased with these shoes. The cushioning has made my fused toe as comfortable as it can be in any shoe I ’ ve had on since the operation. The footbed is comfortable and the soft upper is flexible enough for my fused toe to get into without pain. I ’ m loving these shoes- the fact that they ’ re orange only makes them even better. These have become one of my favorite Adidas running shoes now- that means a lot because I have every Adidas performance line running shoes. I just got these last week and put in about 10 miles. I like the previous Rise 2, and this one is better in terms of comfort and shock absorption. The previous version was a bit firm but had a good energy return. I prefer Rise 3 much better as a long run and daily trainer companion.
