Solid- holds plates that I bought from Dick's without any issues. The powdercoat on the arms will likely be scratched over time, ruining the finish... kind of wish this was just a solid stainless steel arm but it does n't really affect anything. Setup was easy.

Sturdy and a neat way to organize your barbells and plates. Easy to setup and a real space saver. Love the finish and feel of the piece, the Allen screws securing the peg sleeves are prone to loosening with use but really not that big of an issue. I originally went to Dicks to purchase the Ethos 5 post weight plate holder but when I came across this new 6 post version I knew it would be perfect for my space. This plate tree is very well built. The solid yet compact design is a great space saver and it holds my bumper plates with ease. I currently have 460lbs loaded on this rack and it could easily hold more. The casters roll well even while loaded up with plates, and the ability to move the unit around your space is a nice feature that I didn ’ t originally think was a must have item for me, but now that I have it, I would never go back to a non- rollable rack. It is incredibly convenient. The packaging was decent, but could probably be improved upon. They do make use of styrofoam and foam sleeves, but the contents inside the package were able to shift around some. I found one or two very small scratches on the base of my rack which isn ’ t a big deal for me at all, but I do think the packaging is worth mentioning as it could possibly lead to potential damages during shipping for others. Installation is an absolute breeze. The rack does come with installation instructions, but this can easily be put together without any guidance. Only tools needed are a hex socket and a wrench and the entire rack can be assembled in about 5- 10 minutes. My entire garage gym has been designed around the ability to save space and double utilize the area efficiently. This rack by Ethos was the perfect solution to help me stay organized and minimize the footprint needed to store my weights. Highly recommended!

This product has a weight limit of 500 lbs. For some reason, this is n't shown on the website. I currently only have 265 lbs, but this weight tree seems to do just fine for this weight. I found it interesting that the 2 '' posts are actually larger than the center square tubing so only part of the tubes are welded/secured. I can definitely see where the 500lb weight limit would come into play. Overall though, the only real flaw to this product is in its part tolerances. When my unit was level to the floor, the bottom- center piece ended up at a slight angle. Angled enough to where there is about 1/16 '' excess above the very back piece this is bolted to. Furthermore, the angled piece connected to the front post took a bit of muscle to line up to the bolt holes. Once tightened, the tree feels quite sturdy regardless of these deficiencies, however. Just be sure to let everything level itself before tightening the bolts. I went ahead and gave it five stars since it met my expectations for the price. Simply put, it does its job and its half the price than other trees I found. Granted, rated at half the weight too...

I do n't usually review products but I came across this tree that I purchased a few years ago that I still own and decided to do it some justice. Bottom line I love it. It holds an entire Olympic size weight set( 300 lbs) and it has room for extra weights. As described by another reviewer as long as you stack your weights accordingly it will work as intended. For the price you cant go wrong with this one.

I have had this rack for many years. It stores an entire olympic set in a compact footprint. You have to stack the weights on it properly for them all to fit. 45s and 35s at the bottom and the smaller weights up top. The bars are staggered so the whole set will fit.

Built very well. The supports all have holes like a rack. Possibly could be a landmine and battle rope attached. Maybe more. Top shelf is perfect for 5- 30 kettlebells. The shelves probably hold 5- 40 dumbbells. Only issue I have is with shipping. One of the dumbbell shelfs arrived with a dent in it. It ’s rights where the has to be tightened so I only have 3 of 4 bolts in. Customer service is supposed to be sending a replacement. Said it would take a month 6 weeks ago so IDK. I ’ m left to take a hammer to it but I shouldn ’ t have to. Yes I would recommend it to a friend if picked up in store and inspected before leaving.

We bought this for our little home gym. After looking at several models online and in stores, I bought another rack through another online retailer. The thing was damaged in shipping and missing one of the uprights. Needless to say I returned it and found this Powerline rack online at Dick's. This rack has the proper spacing between the horizontal angles so that my old style steel plate dumbbells do not fall off the front. Most of the ones I looked at in stores had that problem. I was n't going to buy new weights just to get a rack. This rack is super sturdy, like what you find in sport clubs but it is small enough that it does n't dominate our small apartment. I will hold 4 dumbells with the 5- lb small hole plates on each shelf. If you put 10- lb plates, you 'll probably only get 3. It feels as if it will hold any of that weight combination. Real easy to assemble and well designed. It has threaded holes through the cross angles with locknuts. Even has a little bottle of touch up paint.

Assembly took 4- 6 hours spread across 3 evenings. I did most of it by myself but my son helped to mount the sled itself, and you may need a 3rd person to hold the rods above the mounting area unless you get creative. I used the bottom stoppers temporarily. I hit two main snags. First, the rods have different hole sizes on each end so it does matter which way they are inserted into the arms. The larger hole should be on the top to mount the decorative plate. Second, the tall legs have larger openings to mount the plate holders so they are not interchangeable. This does n't become obvious until the very last step, meaning I had to slide the leg press against a wall that could support the entire weight to allow swapping the legs without having to remove the sled. I do read all instructions which made it all the more frustrating to discover these details after the fact. One last note, the attachment for the seat was not wide enough so I had to hammer it a bit to allow the seat arm to fit. But now it is assembled and we can enjoy leg day!
