I just received this jacket today and I 'm super happy with it after only trying it on! I 'm 5'11 '', about 165- 170, athletic build and the large fits perfectly! I have a little extra length in the arms, which I love because it is a rarity. I feel like I have just enough room that I could wear a crewneck underneath without problem, but it's not bulky without layers. And it's long enough that it covers my bottom! I 'm usually between a medium and a large and I would not size down for a medium in this jacket.

I needed a fully waterproof jacket that was lightweight and gave lots of coverage for long dog walks. This is a good one which goes to mid thigh on me( 5' 2 '') with the rounded swoop in the back that looks a bit stylish. The hood is adjustable so it stays put and the collar gives lots of coverage as do the longer sleeves which can cover my hands or adjust with velcro at the wrist and the zippers are waterproof. [ I used this for the first time on a rainy hike this past weekend and was very happy with the way the water beaded and rolled off. I was not too warm, which has been an issue in the past. The hood is a good size and has a brim, which I really like. I can typically wear a size small but like to get rain jackets in medium so that I can layer under. For this reason, I 'd say the jacket is true to size, though I still sized up. I only wish that it was a little bit longer but, as this was a warranty replacement for another raincoat, and it was on sale, I 'm happy with the jacket.

[ I share this jacket with my granddaughter. I actually purchased it for my daughter, but she needed another size so she could wear it over heavy clothes. It fits both my granddaughter and me quite perfectly. Hmmm... I do wonder if I 'll ever see it again. The color is lovely!

[ Although I decided to keep this jacket, I agree with another reviewer who mentioned the stiff collar area and the uneven pocket linings. Why only line one pocket? And it remains to be seen if I can deal with the collar( which is fabulous if zipped all the way up) when the jacket is only partially zipped.

[ This coat was great over winter really kept her warm and now with winter over we 've cleaned it and packed it up for next winter so we can make it grow and it will fit her next winter. She loves this coat and is happy to have it for next year.

It's cute, and worked well keeping me dry and warm on a drizzly day walking around Seattle. However, I have broader shoulders and it is a little tricky to get off and on. Hoping I wont regret keeping it!

Wore this in Detroit for the NFL Draft. Got so many compliments! I especially love the center pouch for carrying all my stuff, instead of bringing a purse. My only complaint is when I go to take it off, someone has to hold my shirt down or my shirt comes off with the jacket lol
