I bought this when it was on sale for 70% off, not knowing the exact fabric content or if the quality would be as good as other Smartwool items I 've purchased. The construction is pretty good, flat lock seams are well executed and it's comfortable to wear. My biggest complaint is that they do n't list the exact fabric content in the website description. It's 56% merino, 44% polyester. Material is thin, comparable to Merino 150. Fit is slim and a little long. With the light weight of the material the collar has a tendency to fold in on itself if it's slightly unzipped, but I do n't think this can be fixed. [ I really enjoy this top. Not too thin and not too thick. My favorite on this top is the side pocket that can fit your phone, but won ’ t move around and cause your phone to fall out during a workout session. I also love that you have thumb holes in the top and can also fold the sleeves back on the top if it ’s too long. I ’ m more in between sizes right now( meaning too big for womens sizes but too small for plus size) but I had no issues with the fit of this top. This top fits true to size so if you ’ re looking for a fit where you can put a undershirt underneath, you could size up.( In my case, I ’ m normally an XL, but got a 1X). The material is really soft and doesn ’ t feel heavy. I only wore this top casually but I could tell with the material that you wouldn ’ t be too hot in it if working out. Being able to roll the sleeves up and adjust the zipper could help with the heat as well. The only thing I would probably change about this top, is possibly adding a zipper to the back of it to add in extra items you may be carrying when out and about.

I purchased this Base Layer 3 shirt when I visited our local outlet store to place an order for another Under Armour shirt I liked. This shirt is thicker than a normal under layer shirt but is still comfortable if you wanted to wear additional layers. The cut of the shirt is super nice you might not want to hide it, though! It has thumb hole openings which are nice. I wore it alone several times since I bought it and was pleased at how well it kept me warm. I liked it so much I went to get a second one. They had sold out of the 3s but I snagged a 2 at least! My only negative comment would be it looks wrinkled when you remove it from the dryer. I only air dried it so maybe some heat might have gotten the wrinkles out. It's black so not that noticeable. Great shirt. I tried to get a 2nd one so obviously am happy with my purchase!
