If you get the fit right, they do n't pull your socks down when you walk. Very good for walking unlink the tradition tall boots. These boots are exactly what I 've been looking for! I live in the Cascade Mountains and walk around town in the snow and ice every single day. So far, the traction, warmth, and waterproofing of these shoes has been elite. I have tested these out for hours out on icy and snowy sidewalks, trails, and roads with no issues. I have yet to use them for snowshoeing, but I am looking forward to that as well. They are extremely comfortable and cute, which is a bonus. Where I live( Washington DC) we do n't get crazy amounts of snow, but we will have the occasional winter storm and get 6- 10 inches or so. I needed a boot to keep my feet warm and dry when I walk my dog, run errands, etc. But I did n't need super heavy duty boot to shovel snow in. I chose this because I liked that the shaft was n't too high, so I could still wear it with most of my pants. We just had a winter storm. The snow was deep enough that it covered my entire boot and yet they kept my feet SUPER warm and I did n't feel slippery when walking on ice. The waterproof material kept my feet dry, and they are also SUPER CUTE! I am a true 7. 5( according to the size chart; my feet are 24 cm), but I still ordered a size 8 based on reviews saying it ran small, and I think I made the right decision. I think if I ordered my exact size I would n't have room to wear thick socks.

They are a bit big and run wide especially in the heel area, and I probably could ’ ve gotten away with an 8. They provided excellent traction on snow, slush, and ice. For reference, I wear a 10 Wide in Skechers, and these boots I got in a 10. 5 size.
