This jacket is exactly what I needed for Colorado's winter. Keeps me very warm without any layering though with layering warmth will obviously be increased. I would totally recommend if you are into snow sports or like being toasty during winter. The transit pants are a step- up in fashion compared to the standard Ferrosi pants. Granted I 'm not a fashion master as my wife reminds me but these are versatile enough to wear climbing or to work. They do n't have the zipper thigh pocket but as I mentioned this gives them a slightly more formal look and fit. Obviously it goes without saying that they are comfortable, stretchy and lightweight like the entire Ferrosi line. Sometimes the Ferrosi line is known to pill but I have n't noticed any yet after a couple of months wear.

It's true that this fabric does pill little bit but hear me out- they 're still totally worth it! I work exclusively outside for my fulltime job, hiking 5 miles per day on average and I genuinely wear these pants 4 days a week at minimum. I 've had the same pairs of Ferrosi's for over 5 years and though pilled, they 've lasted perfectly and show no other signs of wear. They are crazy lightweight and breathable but also water resistant. They keep me cool in 100+ degree weather and also do great over a baselayer in the winter. They are stretchy enough but also hold their shape. OR, you better warn us if these ever get discontinued so I can buy 10 more pairs.

The pants have a perfect amount of stretch, which makes them comfortable during a day on the trail, and when relaxing around camp afterward. The zippered legs come off and on easily, and the adjustable drawstring at the ankle allows you to cinch it up around your boot to help keep 6- 8 legged critters and trail debris out of your shoes. I like them, and they look good with my Scout leader uniform too. I went with the Morel color, as the Verde was a little too green for my tastes.

Kids go to a camp in CO where it rains a fair amount so rain pants are on the required packing list. This was the pair they had this year and they loved them. I 've been watching a number of reviews prior to purchasing this rain jacket, and finally pulled the trigger when I had an opportunity to try it on in store. The mustard colour is great in person, but what I 'm really impressed with is the build quality. All of the reviews talk highly of how well constructed this jacket is, and I ca n't disagree. What I was n't expecting was how the slight stretch in the jacket would clearly separate it from other similar rain jackets from other brands. It makes it a very comfortable rain jacket. My only knock? Sizing is really confusing and I 'm glad I was able to try it on in store. Based on the size guide, I would have purchased an XXL online. I have a 46 '' chest( 6' 4 '' and around 225 lbs). My Abisko trail fleeces are XXL. My Abisko Midsummer jacket is an XL. I bought a L. This is n't without precedent: I have a Greenland jacket in a L, and it fits fine. You might say `` you 'll never be able to layer with it! '' Well... I went looking for a thick fleece in store and had it under the jacket and it fit fine. So yeah- this jacket fits large. I think I would have been fine with an XL, but I like the slightly slimmer fit of the L.

I use these pants when hiking and camping in cold/damp weather. The fleece liner feels so comfy against the legs, and the outer shell is durable. These pants are extremely flattering, but I am not a curvy girl... I 'm more straight- shaped. I could see why a curvy figure would have some issues with the waistband. I am in the outdoors all the time for work, and these are a go- to pair for me in the colder and shoulder months. I will be buying more.

[ I bought this jacket with the upcoming Winter in mind replacing my previous ten years ’ old puffer. I can tell it ’s going to be warm enough for the E coast winter but what really blows my mi d is just how light it is. Whereas I ’ ve always had jackets that encumbered my movements and I ’ d simply got used to that fact, this jacket feels so incredibly light and form fitting that it ’s going to be a new experience for my winters. Amazing. Such a great jacket; it ’s lightweight, breathable, good for active use, feels extremely well made, and has a great fit. At 6 ’ 1, 165lbs, the medium felt tailored. The octa lining is done fantastically. Pertex and octa are both some of the best durable, lightweight, and breathable materials and pair amazingly well. Construction is some of the best I ’ ve seen; very heavy duty dual use zipper that works like butter is amazing to see on such a lightweight garment. Dual chest pockets also clutch and super practical if wearing harnesses. Hand pockets have sync and keychain holders, and feel great to use in a more casual environment. Octa is like super synthetic cashmere, extremely well insulating. This jacket I think can work in any environment from below freezing to upper 60 ’s with proper layering. Simply one of the best jackets of all time imo.

I work as a climbing guide in Colorado, so my work takes me to a variety of locations and climates. My initial guess as to what the Keele would be like was similar to other grid fleeces: lightweight and flexible. The latter is more true than the former. This layer was surprisingly heavy- and I think that's fantastic. It presents a different layering option than other mid- layers that tend to strive to be light. The inner fabric is extremely soft, so it feels great next to skin. I was caught in a mild drizzle and the outer fabric did a great job beading water and not letting me get soaked. I 'm 5'10 '' 165 and it felt just a hair big on me. If it was colder( ice climbing or mountaineering) I would appreciate the room to layer. As the only mid- layer I was wearing it was just a slight bit big, but I did n't find that problematic at all.

I am a rock climbing guide who guides across Colorado and Utah and its important for me to have gear that works well, is durable and looks professional. I was excited for this hoody to arrive as it checked a lot of those boxes for me. The large fits ideally for me at 6' 2 '', 215lbs and long arms. I have a bit of an issue in the past with MHW sizing as it seemed I was right in between a L and XL but this jacket fits wonderfully. The waterproofing is functional if you are stuck in some light rain, as the water will bead right off. The brushed grid interior gives the hoody that cozy feel which means you 'll never want to take it off. It is a lot denser of a hoody than I was expecting but that's a positive in my books. I really think this hoody is for anyone who wants a full zip mid layer jacket but it will find itself at home the most in the backpacks of you Spring rock climbers!

I am a search and rescue volunteer and climbing wall instructor who spends my time in Arizona and Washington state. Working in a wide range of environmental conditions requires that my gear does the same. I ordered the Keele grid hoody as large, my usual size, and I found it fit true to size. The Keele hoody has performed exceptionally while climbing, traveling, and hiking. The recycled polyester double weave fabric is my favorite feature of the Keele. Its brushed back grid interior is soft and wicks moisture well while the DWR coating on the exterior provides durability and water resistance. Even when soaked through, the Keele kept me warm climbing in less- than- ideal conditions. The three- piece hood functions incredibly well and I found it fit over or under a climbing helmet. I have thoroughly enjoyed using the Keele and recommend it as a base or mid layer for nearly any outdoor endeavor.

You can never have too many midlayers! This statement is always true, and that is one of the many reasons the Keele Grid hoody is something you should get. I 'm 5' 9 '' 165lbs. and the medium fits comfortably. It does n't have a really technical fit like an r1; it's a more relaxed fit. This jacket is the r1 that you can wear everyday, but with pockets and way more wind resistance. I 've been grabbing this every morning when I leave the house on all these cool Spring mornings. The hood is really comfortable, and I 've always been a half- zip kind of guy, but I 'm loving the full- zip jacket feel.
