Tested out the new UL Premonition during my training in Salt Lake City and my recent Makalu expedition. I bought this in the early summer bc I was in desperate need of a new rain jacket( my old one was literally crumbling apart!). This past weekend I assisted in the rescue 7 people who were capsized in a pontoon boat. I dove into the water with phone and all in the pocket of this jacket. After the scary event ended I took my phone out of my pocket and was shocked to still see the phone screen activated! The phone still needed about 7 hours to completely dry out and let me charge it but it ’s completely fine now. Obviously this jacket isn ’ t meant to be submerged but the saving the phone of it all felt worth mentioning. This jacket is also WARM and I don ’ t feel like raindrops are still making me cold through the jacket. It ’s also a superb wind breaker. I took this shirt with me for walking the Camino in the early fall( ~35C on the coast with no shade). I 'm very sensitive to heat( due to both MS and some of my medication), but after soaking this shirt in water, the combination of the quick evaporation and the UV protection was enough to keep me comfortable even at noon. It was great to be able to skip out on sunblock and still not end the day looking like a tomato. Like other reviewers said, it's a little rougher that ideal, but I do have to say, it held up to backpack friction much better than the Abisko wool shirt I took on the same trip and I did* not* get any irritation despite walking all day with a 10- 20kg bag for the first time. Dries very very quickly, which is great when conditions are damp.

This one has slightly heavier fabric, and seemingly, a tighter weave, so it does n't breathe as well. After wearing these shorts for a short period of time, they quickly became my husbands number 1 pair of shorts. When asked what he likes most about them he pointed out that they are incredibly stretchy and flexible but have a nice sturdy feel to them. He prefers a trimmer fit to his shorts with longer inseams and these were perfect! They also have cargo short style storage while still looking much cleaner and sleeker. He does wish there was a second pocket on the rear.

Wear these shorts all summer long and never be disappointed. Stretch material is so comfortable you barely notice these are even on. I roll these up and bring them in pack every trip, they 're great for when I get to camp and start to chill, they work as swim shorts and dry quick, they work if it's really a hot day and the trail is n't too rugged. Only thing is the pockets can be uncomfortable if they 're loaded up too much. I rarely use them.

Got a blue Ghost Whisperer when it was 50% off( when they introduced the new blue color). Last night I decided to really push the temperature range and wore it for a decent walk in 5 Degree(- 15 Wind Chill) temps. I was wearing an undershirt, button down, and the ghost whisperer with hat and scarf and was pretty comfortable the whole time. I travel quit a bit and wanted a pair of shorts that I could work out in, trail run, swim in, etc. Also wanted something that would dry quickly. These are great for that. I generally wear a shorter inseam specifically or trail running, but this inseam was a more modest and `` everyday comfortable '' approach. Got the shorts with the AirShell Hoody and together they 're a great combo. Would recommend as a all purpose trail short.

It adds just enough warmth over a base layer to reduce the bite of morning chill. The fabric is crazy stretchy and soft, and while I have n't been rough on this one, my insulated Kor Strata is a ski layer I have hammered all season with no issue. This thing is crazy packable too so it makes it easy to shove into a pocket or my lumbar pack.

This rain jacket is super impressive. When it comes to traveling, camping, hiking, or even exploring new cities, countries, etc. You ca n't beat the portability of this jacket. It is super thin and light making it easy to roll up and store into any type of bag weather it's a backpack, purse, or even large fanny pack. Even for being so light and thin, it easily stops water from getting through. I 've had zero issues with any type of moisture getting inside either due to prolonged periods of water exposure or leaks through any seals and stitching. I will say, because it's so thin, in colder weather, you would need a warmer layer underneath to act as insulation. That being said, you might need to get one size up than normal so it can fit over any layers you need. Also, if you are traveling through any thick brush or scraping up against rocks, you need to be careful about scraping or snagging any sharp/rough surfaces too hard to prevent any micro/macro tears in the material. Being so thin, it's not super durable, but it's not very easily torn either. Overall fantastic product and highly recommend

This is a super light, rain shedding jacket. Is it 100% water proof? No, but no rain jacket is. It ’s breathable, and with proper mid layer moister management, you can hike all day in the rain and be as dry as you would be in any other rain jacket. Pairs great with alpha direct layer underneath.

[ I love these shorts — I find it almost impossible to find shorts that fit me( narrow waist, curvy through butt and thighs), but these fit perfectly. The material is light, comfortable, dries quickly, and seems to resist odors better than other athletic shorts I have. The little zippered pocket is a nice touch, too. My only problem is that I 'm kind of a hard fit right now and I did n't want them to be too small so they are a bit too big. But that's completely my fault. I 've only had this jacket for about a month. I 'm 6'2 '' /175, wiry and can leap tall buildings in a single bound. Right. Anyway, I usually wear the jacket to walk the dog at 5: 30 am and it's been upper 30's. The jacket is super light and blocks the wind very well as long as you cinch around the bottom. I like it to fit a little roomy, but I could easily fit into a medium, which is unusual for me. I 'm typically a large. I have n't seen the jacket perform in the rain or snow yet, but have no doubt it will do extremely well. I used the hood once on a windy night and it kept my neck and head very warm. I 've also worn the jacket over just a t- shirt when it was about 40 and it kept me warm. Everyone has their own cold tolerances, but I enjoy being warm and usually need a good jacket to achieve that. The only semi- negative with this jacket is the zipper, which seems a little fragile. It gets hung up at the bottom and does n't release until you pull with the other hand. That said, it's working fine. There are plenty of other jackets that are probably as warm and pretty light for less money. I splurged on this and enjoy the light weight. Get the jacket if you wan na treat yourself.
