This seems to be manufactured by the same company that made my older son's Under Armour helmet. The quality seems virtually the same. I like how the ear flaps seem to jut forward a bit to help cover the cheekbone, but still have a good opening for seeing the ball.

The fit on this helmet is great. The `` contour fit '' helmets fits the shape of my head much better than the standard fit helmets. However, I previously had the Maze helmet, which so much lighter and had a `` less bulky '' feel. Finally, the goggle strap holder in the back gets stuck and it's hard to get your goggle on and off of the helmet. Overall, the helmet is a great buy. I think I will end up buying the Maze helmet in the contour fit.

The Capitan is my pick for the best compromise for overall helmets. Plenty light enough for almost anything, but has hard- shell durability. While I have the Vantage 1, I had a terrible fall last week. I likely blacked out for a few seconds do to the severity of the impact. A few friendly skiing comrades assisted me and after regaining my composure, they followed me down to ski patrol to get checked out. Wish I could thank those guys at Jay Peak more. While my helmet was severely damaged consistent with the MIPS technology( breaks to absorb the energy from the fall), I passed all the concussion tests and walked away essentially with only a shattered ego. Thank You for designing and selling such a great product. I will be replacing my children ’s helmets with your technology as well. I donated my helmet to the Ski Patrol at Jay Peak for educational purposes…why you should be wearing a helmet.

We received this Victus Senior Helmet for my 15 year old for high school ball. The helmet is solid and sleek looking. He likes that there are several vents to keep his head cool. There is ample padding. My son said that is initially stiff but that may loosen up with play. I like the idea of a universal jaw guard as I have a left and right batter. The jaw guard also has a pad which my son ’s current helmet does not. The only thing that may have been helpful was instructions on how to pop off the cover to switch out the jaw guard but we figured it out.

He plays more than me but its great that if for whatever reason he needs to use mine, the mouth guard can be switched. If you 're looking for a basic matte black helmet, this is it. Purchased the S/M and it fits her head perfectly. Strapping the chin strap in place is a struggle though. Coach suggested leaving the chin strap on at all times and just stretching the strap out( when putting the helmet on. Much easier and quicker this way. The chin strap itself is just an elastic band though.
